Thanks so much for this video. I replaced broken interior door latch on my 1990 pickup successfully, but then the new interior door handle wouldn't unlatch the door. The linkages and unlatch mechanism were worn just enough it would not release with the new part. I couldn't figure out what to do until I watched this video. I had not noticed that little chock that limits the travel. I removed the piece and the door unlatches now because the lever pulls the rod further. Thank you for the video.
just fixed my drivers door by removing that tab!! Thank you so much for posting this!! took 5 minutes max!

Brilliant! Adjusting the actuator rod travel is such a pain, removing that tab is a 5 minute job.
