    Just received the immerse, it will be mostly used as an end of chain reverb.. I also have the big sky and night sky and others! I've never sold a verb lol

      I just added the Immerse after the blueSky on my board. I've never had two reverbs before at the same time but they do different things and I love them both.

    Hey, just a heads up. I have both of these reverbs and have had for quite a while and they are two different sides of the same coin. The Strymon will do Predelay which is wonderful, but it’s long Caverness delay leave something to be desired. The new number, does the caverns extremely well but as you mentioned no pre-delay and everything feels like it’s right in your face. I do ambient music and the absolute most wonderful sound in the world is the Immerse been fed in stereo into the Strymon . I figured it would end up being Washed out, but because they handle different reverbs they complement each other wonderfully!

    This is exactly the comparison video that I needed. Thank you!

    The blueSky was my first ever pedal that I bought, have the Immerse too. Each pedal is great on their own.

    Wow both sound incredible.

    Great vid...thanks Matt. Ur timing was incredible for me, I've had the Immerse for a couple of years and just bought the Strymon this week. I find the blue sky fuller...more body and depth, but still like the immerse. That said I do like the shimmer :)

      @LeFeversAudio  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! They're both excellent and rather different from one another... I went into this hoping I'd like one a lot more than the other and could maybe flip the other one, but they're each good at different things. I'm planning to keep both and experiment more.

    The blue sky sounds heavenly.

    Great comparison. Just got the Strymon Cloudburst and I'm thinking of running the Immerse into it. Been running an EQD Astral Destiny into the Bluesky, but looking for something different.

    • @LeFeversAudio
      @LeFeversAudio  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Cloudburst plus an Immerse would be a pretty powerful combo, especially for super wet, ethereal stuff...

    Amazing video, thank you for sharing. I love strymon have 4 of them, but i have to go with the immerse on this one.

    I’m agreeing with much of what you’re saying, I had the immerse but had a hard time getting the level high enough at times. The separation was incredible though. You’ve got me concerned with ‘no level on the shimmer’ on the Strymon...? I’ve tried many and settled on the MXR but now I’m tiring of it, lol. I think you saved me from buying the Strymon - thank you.

    • @LeFeversAudio
      @LeFeversAudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the blueSky having no ability to adjust how much shimmer there is makes that mode unusable to me. To be fair, they did just come out with a blueSky Version 2 about a week or two ago where they finally added a knob for that. But the v1 I just stick to normal mode.
      I will say that the Immerse impressed me enough making this video that I ended up buying the newer Immerse Mk. II, which fixes that issue with the level not going high enough. That's actually what's on my main board right now, it's excellent.

  • @gixxerjo
    @gixxerjo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I'm not sure I would use either much on a live set. At a $60 difference and a little more controllable I've chosen the Immerse + it leaves a little more real estate on the board.

    I love both. The Ventris knocked both off my board. So much great gear out there!

    • @LeFeversAudio
      @LeFeversAudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice! The Ventris is the last remaining reverb that I wish I could try. I love my Nemesis a lot so it's definitely got my attention.

      It’s excellent so far. I was going to choose either it or the blueSky to keep on my board, but instead I couldn’t decide and spent a whole day smooshing my pedals closer together to cram them both on 😅

    very nice comparrison .... they're both magical pedals....i've got the neunaber mark II and i don't see any reason to even try another one i'm so thrilled with it...
    thanks again my friend.

    There is a blue sky vs 2 that allows real time shimmer adjust .

  • @ageshero

    This is great video.
    Strymon does have a lot of hidden functions, I wonder if some of them could help it succeed more

    • @ageshero
      @ageshero ปีที่แล้ว

      The neunabar doesn’t go full wet though does it? Like it’s always like 50/50 seemingly

    • @LeFeversAudio
      @LeFeversAudio  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, the version 1 of the Neunaber can't go full wet. After this video I ended up buying the Immerse mk. 2 which can go full wet (and is excellent).

      @@LeFeversAudio exciting information! Thank you

  • @erikhartley2494

    Spring is meant for hits lol. It’s about hearing the “boing”. Also Shimmer has the high damp which will help tame the highs.

  • @kenshover7694
    @kenshover7694 ปีที่แล้ว

    Turning down the down will reduce the shimmer
    Also the immerse has a kill dry switch on the front of the pedal giving you all wet no dry

  • @JacobH93
    @JacobH93 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love my immerse but I think I’m going to switch to a blue sky when I can. Ideally I’d have both but then I’d need to upgrade my power supply and probably get a bigger board too. It’d be great to have the neunaber as a “normal/always on” type of reverb and to dial in the strymon for more ambient “effect” type reverbs. If the neunaber V2 had a favorite switch (external would be fine) then I don’t think it’d be any question though! I think the wet is probably the best sound in either box honestly, and I just really want at least 2 verb settings in 1 box right now. Thank you for the comparison though!

    • @LeFeversAudio
      @LeFeversAudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I ended up going with both, and just cramming them on the board, haha. There was just baaaaarely room. Either is great, for sure, just different.
      I agree that a favorite switch on the Neunaber would be terrific.

    I think you guys aren't settings your predelay correctly on the Immerse, once I sorted that she really popped in the mix.

    • @LeFeversAudio
      @LeFeversAudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you only use the Plate mode? I got excited for a minute (this is a good suggestion) but double checked and the v1 only has predelay on one mode. V2 might have it on two.

      Nice - I've had an RV-5 before and it was pretty excellent, I've always been curious about the RV-6. I haven't used the Oceans 11 but my first reverb ever was their Cathedral one.

    I still think Strymon prodcucts are way overpriced. Their prices simply dont match their quality in my opinion. Neunaber on the other hand, is quite expansive to. But you get your moneys worth, definetly. Their algorithms are just so incredibly good crafted, every detail just makes sense. And never ever do they get muddy. But, that is just my opinion afcaurse.
