Cool tips, here's the times for people who want to jump to it: 0:20 - Tempo settings 2:10 - Copy pattern and track 4:30 - Arpeggio as a normal track 6:54 - Keyboard octaves and live playing 9:48 - Parameter lock and live tweaking
Great tips. I'd like to add that you can get two more *live* voices of polyphony on the chord track if you set "generous_chords" to true in the general.json file on the op-z (v1.2.17). You can still only sequence four notes but the two extra notes for the bass in this example would help greatly playing over the top.
Excellent Tutorial, thanks for sharing. So many helpful tips...I like using the transpose on a sequenced part you've already recorded I never would have thought of that. All of these tips are game changers
Thanks for watching Howard! It’s so nice to find new ways to use the op-z. I find new functions I like all the time. Maybe it’s time for a new tutorial soon 😎
Thanks for the Tips! Didn't know about the live tweaking while pressing shift or that you can use the arp track without having an arpeggiator. Another tip for fast editing : If you press shift and plus or shift and minus you move the pattern of the selected track one step to the left/right.
For the arp tip, you incorrectly say that you turn the green dial down until the numbers show “1”. It actually goes down to “0”, meaning it is now off.
It’s actually a cover of that Radiohead song made here on the channel. You can find the video in my list of videos. The song is called Street Spirit. Thanks for watching!

Not a bad way to show off your Radiohead cover lol.

Are those sounds available directly in the op-z or did you add them. I love that piano and flute sounds!
Thank you! I have sampled the piano and the flute sound is available at OP1fun for download. 🎹☺️

Thank you! Correct! I’m glad you noticed that. Happy holidays man!
Hii
Drink some water. I swear everyone smacks so hard in the mic.
Maybe you can make a song based of smack samples .
@@ibrajimenez2098 might help confront my issue with smacks I guess. >_>
