- This is my 2nd change of the transmission fluid of 14 Toyota Highlander after another 60 k miles. I did a 2nd drain of the fluid as it was so black. I ended up using 3.5 q of the fluid.

You should leave the engine running while checking for the correct fluid level. This is what is recommended from most mechanics and there is a good video from the "car care nut" channel about changing the fluid on sealed transmission. Overall good job. Thanks for sharing.
Edit: I seen you caught your mistake. 😅
Can you do a video and show where the OBD connects..Thank you..
Good video. That oil came out nasty. Not sure how Toyota label these sealed for life.
I did ours at 100K km, and will do it again at 160k km.
I'd suggest to also replace the transmission filter as well. I did the filter and when you remove the pan there is another half litter that doesn't reach the drain hole.
I will do it again every 50k miles. Thanks
As black as the transmission fluid is I would have pulled the pan, installed new filter and drained the converter.
I drained and refill twice
How are you seeing the temperatures on the computer??
Bought the cable from Amazon which comes with the software
@@joehowto I would really appreciate the link for it please I have to change my transmission fluid in next 2k miles
@@victorbrown5593 Sorry I don't have the link from amazon. I got the cable about 6 years ago and I am not sure if amazon still have it
@@joehowto ok no worries what’s the name of it
@@victorbrown5593 I don't remember the name of the cable. There is a obd2 reader that may read transmission oil temperature such as this one: amzn.to/4b7GGtk Please read the review before buying it. Thanks
