Still bummed no official soundtrack has been released for this show, but I managed to get good quality dialogue-free recordings of my favorite pieces of music! I recorded almost all of these from season 2 but of course the majority of them appear in season 1 also - เพลง

As a historian, this is the only historically inaccurate (like, almost fictitious) historical series I’ve allowed myself to like, because it’s so poetically and aesthetically pleasing. Yet, I truly recommend you read up the real history of the Medici. They are very fascinating, rising from almost nothing to one of the most legendary families in history.
EDIT: There seems to be a number of you who are interested in finding out the more truthful account of this family’s history. So i think here would be a good place to leave my book recommendations for all to see, so there is no need to repeat your questions in the reply section.
The first book I would recommend is ‘The Medici’ by Mary Hollingsworth because it doesn’t have to much historian jargon and quite accessible to the generally public. This book gives a good starting point and solid background knowledge from a fairly respectable historian. The other one would be ‘The Rise and Fall of the House Medici’ by Christopher Hibbert, and this one goes into a bit more of an analytical mode. These might be available in the audio format as well, so just check. I have no ideas when it comes to podcasts so can’t recommend. Documentaries are to be taken with a pinch of salt and not all of it can be said to represent historical facts in its entirety, as the purpose is partially for entertainment.
I'm not a historian but I have passion in history and I'm trying to find more information about this family!
P Narenpithak I completely agree with you. When I first watched the series, I was a senior in high school. I found it’s history so interesting that I took it upon myself to learn more about them. The Medici are one of the most important families in Italian history, maybe even all of Europe!😃

Can't agree more. It takes you to the other world. I am in love with Daniel Sharman after watching it. Everybody has acted well. I couldn't stop myself from reading through the history and look forward to visit Florence.
@@123ferns .... Whenever you get a chance, you should definitely visit Florence. I visited about 6 years ago w/one of my adult daughters. Florence was her choice as she studied there one summer...she was an art major in college and said she *had* to study in Florence. LOL!...and, it was an unforgettable trip.
We stayed in an Airbnb a short walk to the Duomo, and basically walked everywhere. One tour was to a winery (I'm a wine specialist) in the Tuscany countryside, and as it turned out, this winery (Castello del Trebbio) was once owned by the Pazzi family, and it's where the Pazzi Conspiracy was planned. The current owners have a B&B, restaurant, make Chianti, EVOO, and I think they grow saffron. I've been buying their olive oil via Olio2Go ever since my visit.

@@123ferns ....You are VERY welcome! Oh! I should mention that the street where our Airbnb was is Via Ghibellina...3rd floor/no lift. I was 63 at the time, but I do a lot of walking at home, and when I have access, the elliptical is my best friend, so I managed the stairs nicely. :-D
Back to Via Ghibellina, we were up and down that street for 5 days but it wasn't until the last day that I noticed that we were passing by Casa Buonarroti...a museum of Michelangelo's works. Notice that the bldg is very unassuming. The bldg was owned by Michelangelo but a great nephew later converted it into a museum. My daughter (the artist) was quite heartbroken that it slipped by us, but I'm determined to return to Florence...and Casa Buonarroti is on my 'must visit' list.

Medici is one of the greatest TV series I've ever seen, the music, screenplay, the cinematography everything are in so much sync with each other. The music is so beautiful that it literally makes you feel as if you are living in that moment.
Although I know the events are really historically inaccurate, this series made me hyped about being italian.
I spend so much time feeling disappointed about so many things in Italy, that I sometimes forget how great our history has been, how much art and beauty we bought to the world, how many beautiful minds and artists we had ♥
And the immense beauty and greatness of out territory and architecture.
Also, I saw a lot of incredibly talented italian actors playing in this movie, it's been a beautiful collaboration, I loved it ♥♥♥

Yeah I mean countries like the USA barely have more than 200 years off history while Italy and most of Europe has 20,000 years of history or more.
You could mention the greatness of music. You know every piece of text on a score is in italian language: andante, adagio, crescendo, .... everywhere in the world: germany, japan, ... Also, I consider, the italian operas of Puccini, Verdi and others as absolute heights of the occidental music. Be proud !

His name is Paul Goodwine. What an awesome name.
I'm proud of the fact that people in the United States are learning about my ancestors because of this TV show. I'm blood related to Lorenzo The Magnificent and the royal Medici family on my Great Great Grandfather' mother's side of the family. The Medici family lost their power because there was not enough males in the family to take over in the 1700's most of the family at that time were mostly female. After that those who are related to the Medici are no longer using the last name Medici any more because the last of the women in the Medici family back in the 1700's got married off to the DiLorenzo family which is my family.

@@1404mm you’re welcome. If you want to go just a little after Lorenzo’s death but before Catherine you can watch the borgias but it doesn’t really cover the medici family much. It is good.

I feel this music running thru my blood enriching my heart and soul. Bringing me back to a time i would have loved to have lived. Was in Florence last month and this is all i could hear in my head when visiting all museums, streets and piazzas. Love Florence for what it does to my spirit. Will come back for more!❣️🇮🇹⚜️
This series is incredibly well done and so utterly captivating. The richness of this soundtrack just adds to its appeal even more. Amazing soundtrack that has all the feels!! Draws you in and leaves you gutted.

I agree that despite the inaccuracies - which is a pity in that so much history could just be told as it is, not needing embellishments - the series are superbly acted (the scenes of the Pazzi attack, Giuliano's death, Lorenzo's lament before the vacillating crowd ..so moving). It's compelling direction and in transmitting the flavour of the period, the series have re awakened interest in so much that the Renaissance gave us. I hope there will be series 4.. The story is not finished. Death in Florence by Paul Strathern is a good read

I was in Pienza, Italy while they were filming Medici and the square and Medici home were right next door. I was able to go into the Piccolomini Palace (the Medici home) and to Mass in the church. I love this series, even though some of the events are not totally accurate historically, it is a lush, gorgeous depiction of Renaissance Italy and the Medici. Of course, the music is so powerful and moving, it enhances the production to perfection. I just wish there was a CD Soundtrack made because I would love to have that rather than downloading.
It is a very inspiring serial, and acted very well by the main characters Lorenzo and earlier Cosimo.All the rivalries and handled very cleverly by Medicine family,and the unity of brothers .Just lovely.The music further enhances it all

Beautiful, beautiful series. Absolutely stunning. Florence is a testament to human ingenuity and creativity. Truly one of the great cities of the world. I echo what others have said about the factual inaccuracies - but it's a visual masterpiece. Some of the frames are like old master paintings. And the music is exquisite.

The background noise, filled in with this music is one of the reasons why this is one of my favorite playlist of all time. This was such a great series. They should have been more popular.
