Someone should sit down every person who marries into the royal family and say this speech. I'm not sure what they expect--some cushy cakewalk. When I listen to this piece of music, I always think of the scene, when Queen wrote that letter to the new queen and the part especially when she said “ The Crown must win, must always win”

I love how this was played in pivotal moments during all 3 seasons so far. I hope it's used in the remaining seasons too because this music is the heart and soul of this show. Personally I feel seasons 1 and 2 had better music than season 3.
I think S1 & 2 is about the start of Queen Elizabeth's reign and how she adapt to it so the music is more about the burden she receive and the growing emotion of her. Meanwhile the S3 & 4 The Queen is completely settled and the season itself is more about the new era, new "real" situation that was going on rather than personal feeling.
Season 3 has the amazing "Black Widow" soundtrack though

Elizabeth II will be remembered, I believe, as the last great monarch of Great Britain. She had her flaws and mistakes like any human being but she did her duty and she did it well.
I have watched this series 3 times already and still cannot get enough of it.
I imagine they’ll play this theme over the episode that has the news of Diana’s death breaking. It will fit those scenes very well.

In my opinion, as iconic as this theme is, the best version is yet to be released. I am referring to what I call the Suez Canal Company theme [08:23-10:11 of Season 2, Episode 1 "Misadventure"] beginning from when the cleaner was mopping the floor at the Suez Canal Company to when Elizabeth II's portrait was shown [end of Egyptian President Nasser's speech]. I hope Lorne Balfe will release it!!!

I hope they took the hiatus time as tribute to the Queen to come up with a section for the final episode paying tribute to Queen Elizabeth with this song. I can picture the final text saying: On September 8th, 2022, Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully at Balmoral Castle at the age of 96 surrounded by her eldest children Charles and Anne. She was Britain’s longest reigning monarch, reigning for 70 years. The final text saying “But the crown lives on!! As it always has!!”

Very much inspired by Time from Inception, even down to the climactic horn section. The major difference being that Time is in a major key (sounds more hopeful) while this is in a minor key (sounds more somber)
