They don't invoke all those silly assumptions when they want to know how anything else works. Sure it might be fun for some to go down rabbit holes like that but in the end, the phrase "God is necessary to have knowledge, I have knowledge therefore God" is the same to me as "Fairies are necessary to think, I think therefore Fairies." despite the fact that we know from the medical point of view that biologically, jumping from 10 story high building and walking away is impossible. not only that, but u'll most likely die,or best case scenario u'll have multiple fractures and barely survive and be sure that u'll be paralyzed from waist down and never use those legs again😵‍💫😵
yet, u're telling me that u can believe such a thing on faith??? lmfao😂😂😂
the whole bible is similar to the analogy i made. it was written by stupid ppl,who didnt know how the universe around them works and they assumed stuff based on their feelings and intuition and went on believing it on faith. thats why everything in the bible is wrong,bc science is the best method to find out how the universe around us and reality works. in science, there is no faith and we make conclusions based on results that evidences provide, even if we dont like it, instead based on feelings and intuition.
this is why science works and faith is not a good way to find out the truth about a phenomena🙂

I've been an atheist since about 13, my husband was raised a Christian but is an agnostic. We got married in City Hall 19 years ago and we work very well as partners in the marriage. We seek each other's opinions and advice and we understand some decisions require both of our input while others don't. All the divorced people I know personally (family and friends) were married in a church and some had traditional roles.
I don't need a religion to tell me to treat my husband with respect. 🙄

Yes, my eldest brother when he first had kids he bought a book on how to be a good parent.
Now I'm not against acquiring knowledge, but lets just say he went through being a Christain (basically angry) stage in his teens, and didn't reflect the empathetic type at all.
Anyway, after his multiple wives and multiple kids (all my nieces and nephews) well lets just say he left ALL of them!
I did have some time with them up to about age 5 or 6 area, but soon after in every relationship with multiple children, he left them ALL. Zero empathy in my view. (they are all grown now, one in prison I heard, but we all missed out on them forever really).
I honestly feel churches tend to attract people who lack basic reasoning skills, empathy, that type of thing.
I have noticed a general theme with Pastors; Priests etc. They all seem to be lying arrogant abusive pri@ks!
Now I suppose there must be many loving kind reasoning (not too sure on that one) healthy minded parent Christains out there, but it may just be me (personal observations) but they all believe their children are God's children, and as far as I can see the children seem to luckily grow up to adults! Since they are constantly placed in the worst environment, for instance church!

It's not about religion don't you atheist get it. It's about loving God selflessly. Not living for the material things in life. I feel I have to tell you these things because I want you to be saved when Jesus comes. Just give it some thought please

@@johnbrown9802 So not the Hindu Gods then? Or Scientologist God, or the Prophet Muhammad's words?
Not the 10,000 other claimed Gods, you say its the Jesus God about loving?
Does he love women equal to men? What about gays who of course act like gays? Does he love me an atheist? Here's a quote friom the Bible: (Its a red line Jesus character quote).
Bring the unbelievers to me and slay them in front of me.
Is that loving? You know how the Jesus character of the Bible comes with a sword in public? Is that a loving action? What weopon would he choose today I wonder? A machine gun? A bomb? I don't think that's loving at all.
Did you know that Christainity is known as the most discriminatory religion of them all? The OT even said get your slaves from the nations around you! Is that loving?
Is it loving to die for others crimes (sins, but we threw sins out of civilized nations of course) BUT if the victim is not Christain they get punished, and the abuser goes to claimed Heaven if his sins are repented? That's not loving isn't it? That's why we threw out all claimed Jesus sins and replaced them with the far greater secular laws method.
Do you know ALL religious people not of Christainity and non religous and all the people before the claimed Jesus era still loved each other? Did you think no one else loves? I wouldn't want Christain love, as its horrible.
Do women serrve MAN as man serves God? Is that a command?
So... men do nothing (as no God commands coming at all, and women do everything? That's not loving! Shouldn't love be equally expressed between loving parters? I don't think you understand, Christainity is definitely NOT loving. If I chose words to describe it, it would be irrational fears and love of morbid death!
But no concern, as not a shred of evidence to believe in this outdated nonsense. None.

@@kimsland999My go to two words to describe Christianity is Fear and Misery. I am so much less miserable now than I was as a Christian, and I am so much less fearful. By the way, you forgot the part about rapist paying their victim's father a fine and the victim being forced to marry her attacker. I've come to this realization recently that Christians tend to either ignore and gloss over, willfully or otherwise, the bad things in the Bible. When I came to this realization, it came with the companion realization that I did the same as a Christian. I do not blame them, indoctrination is a powerful tool.

Not obeing the bible is so mean and dangerous for a society, it lead to divorce and women allowed to not only not obey them master superior in thinking and others stuffs but even can take their own decision about themselves, like quit the one they marry. That's just bad for society and i'm now alone but got that book full of how i should live my life and threat others... We even can verify that because science said womens have hormons and we ALL knows hormons make people insane and only women had hormons.".
No such love than the one in the bible:
Love is worshipping. Obey or you'll have eternal torment. The most your life has to be miserable and full of suffering the most you'll have a big reward in the end. Oh and sorry if you're a woman you're only on this earth to make childs and to do what men told you.
Make perfect sense, Nicol a true Xtian at heart.
I'm wondering why with this logic women are even allowed to refuse a relationship because men are so those who knows and does better all important things but women are better to household chores where the greater male found just that boring.
disclaimer: there could be some sarcasm in my comment. I don't think man is superior to woman by nature. If i think to it women are really better to stuff like making offspring when the role of a man is quite limited on that. Difference (as in biology) is not superiority and it's pointless most of the time to even think who's superior; lead to essentialism who is root of so bad in the world. A couple by definition is made of two, a leader of that is just denying that there's 2 ppl... Oh and male who don't think/want to take care of their own child(s) it's called a jerk i guess.

      @ericb9804 ปีที่แล้ว

I suspect you don't understand his argument. He might ask you, "Is 'truth' independent of human experience?"
If yes, which is the standard reply, then you make a "theist-style" assumption, namely that your knowledge "depends" on something external to humanity - not just that there IS an external reality, but that there is some "intermediary force" regulating the relationship between you and reality. He would tell you this "dependence," this "intermediary force," is evidence for god. You are free to deny this, as JMike does, but you are still left with a "dependence" that you can't explain, left with a notion of "truth" that requires metaphysical assumptions that you may call "axioms."
If not, then you are forced to give an account of "truth" that only references your experience and does not "depend" on anything external to humanity. If you tried to do this, he would accuse you of "relativism."
There is no god, obviously, but Kevin makes a good philosophical point. Atheism demands pragmatism.

    • @Julian0101
      @Julian0101 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@ericb9804 Not really, kevin would just be kicking the can there, because whatever "intermediary force" that regulates the relationship between me and reality, in itself would "depend" from another "intermediary force" - not just that there is an external god, to reality and myself, but that there is some "intermediary force" that regulates the relationship between this god, reality and myself. And on and on it goes the infinite regress (which is an actual good philosophical point, but it doesnt help kevin's).
And as usual, if kevin can special plea that his god doesnt need this "intermediary force", then anyone else can claim reality doesnt need this "intermediary force" aswell.
I mean, it is a good point, but it fails in the same way most other arguments for god does.
