They now offer bags that just have the acorn without the nutsac branding. I have one of these and absolutely love it. It’s not perfect, but the build quality makes it worth the money.
Hi Nick, I'm late to this video, but I got the bag, bought a seam ripper, and took the branding patch off. I get it, but it wasn't appropriate for my work situation. The waxed canvas healed and it is even more minimal. Great bag.
@@Nomad-bi6su The bag is uniform, meaning the area where the patch was removed is indistinguishable from the rest of the bag. There is no color variation.
At that price point I would suggest a Timbuk2, the durability is outstanding (my old one is currently my toolbag and after 5 years of carrying tools still hasn't a single stitch out of place), well designed (with pen slots) and the most ergonomic that kind of bags could be. I usually carry a 50's decade Polish Army bread bag but that's because I love bags. And flashlights
I don’t understand why people choose shoulder bags over backpacks. The latter distributes weight evenly while the former stresses one side of the body, often leading to the need for chiropractic adjustments.
+Morte Sumus I guess. I finally settled on a compromise - a small Travel Mate Backpack from Ace Leather Goods. Perfect size for my wallet, key wallet, reading glasses, sunglasses, and other miscellaneous items. Works as a shoulder bag or backpack. I was able to purchase it at a street fair in unfinished leather which I really like. It has a more masculine look than the dyed versions.
Most people put the laptop or iPad in the back compartment of the bag and zip it up. Protecting it from getting scratched from other things inside the bag.
Can it hold whiskey, condoms and ammunition? Nice review as always nick ! Must have been reading my mind. Was looking at messenger bags over the weekend. Thanks for your review. Ok carry on pal
I wish there was something like this that held A3 paper. I need to carry lots of A3 around and I'm tired of carrying a satchel and a separate portfolio.
Yeah probably, I guess thats why they are uncommon. I already have to carry a portfolio that size and just want something with more pockets and utility so I don't have to carry a separate messenger bag or backpack.
Not to be repetitive.... but as I mentioned in your review of the smaller bag... check out the Vanquest Envoy 3.0... A little more "tactical" than this bag but I think it provides a little more bang for your buck and it too is made in the US with all US materials...
Don't really understand the animosity towards "manbags" or satchels, when did carrying around your laptop start having gay or metrosexual connotations? I'm a university student and no one at all would look twice at anyone with a satchel.
+Jimmy Grey Some people have a sense of masculinity so fragile and precarious that even the slightest hint of femininity is terrifying to them. Hence, the stigma. It’s hilarious, and sad.
Jimmy Grey I think it’s more of a look you have to pull off. If you carry a satchel you kind of have to have the style game locked down too. Imagine carrying this satchel in flops and a T-shirt and atheistic shorts. People would probably look at you. Now how about this satchel with chinos, maybe a sweater or dress shirt and good shoes?? Now you have the look. It’s more of a look IMO. A functional accessory.
Well funny you say that because I often do wear flip flops, a t-shirt and shorts to class with a satchel haha. I guess it really depends on the situational setting, this is essentially a briefcase with a strap, or a backpack with one less strap... So wearing it to work or study people shouldn't bat an eye at it. Now a briefcase with shorts and flip flops... I would get some odd looks.
Great review, sir. This is probably a silly question, but...is there any issue with the magnets in the flap in proximity to an automatic watch? I'm new to auto watches, being a quartz guy, and I've been told to stay away from magnets if wearing one. Again, please forgive my ignorance on so many levels.
Yes, with many watches. This is part of why I bought the Omega I did, it's hugely magnetism-resistant. But remember, it's not the end of the world, you can demagnetize a watch at home.
I carry this bag everyday. In my nutscac... Nintendo Switch in the back pocket, iPad Pro in the main pocket, external battery in one inside pocket and a point and shoot canon G7X in the other pocket. Front pocket contains keys, AirPods, flashlight. The bag has only gotten better and better with time. I swear by it
The acceptance of the brand name is for sure an east cost vs west coast thing. It's a west coast brand, that kind of thing is a lot more acceptable here. Just a difference in culture.
As a native Oregonian I have to disagree. I love the bag once I took the leather badge off of the outside. Great brand name for a college student, not a professional.
If it had a different name, i don't think its de-emasculating or embarrassing because of that reason (Nothing wrong with that), just the branding is really juvenile and unpleasant. Same reason i wouldnt use a bag that says "poo poo wee wee"
People are funny. Nice Every Day Carry carry and recommended, unless you're uncomfortable pairing practicality with masculinity or find the name too blue for your taste. I Sharpied out "Nutsac" on the Man Bag Dammit as a test before considering doing the same to my Satchel Pro. Results are nice and understated, but I might just remove the badge on the Satchel Pro as suggested by someone on your Instagram.
Meh, if you are carrying a laptop or Ipad in it, its a laptop bag. I'm not carrying tampons in mine so I'm not worried. No sense in carrying a larger bag for a smaller piece of equipment. Otherwise good review.
the nut sac never been a issue...somehow I can always get away from things like that...dirty jokes and things like that... I think is due to the fact that English is not my first language...people would not assume I know the dirty meaning behind all those words...they just think' well, he does not know better' Well, I do know better....
Two NutSacs in two days? That takes serious balls, Nick.
They now offer bags that just have the acorn without the nutsac branding. I have one of these and absolutely love it. It’s not perfect, but the build quality makes it worth the money.
man, that is absolutely massive compared to that quarter. How do you fit that in your pocket, Nick?
Just an update. They now offer a logo tag without the text as an option, if you don't want the joke. I like that they took the feedback.

blair satterfield how does the healed canvas look like? Does it have a deeper color now?

I just bought their rucksac model. I cannot freaking wait to bring it into work :)
Custom cut u a piece of foam and place in bottom of bag so the laptop rests on it. Better padding than what the maker would put in there
Finally someone answer my thoughts about if its possible to carry dokuments in this bag!!!! Thank you!!!!
I advise having a stiff plastic folder to put the papers in in order to prevent deformation of the corners of any documents being carried.
Nut Sac actually has a case for laptops that you purchase separately that offers more cushion for your laptop.
I don’t understand why people choose shoulder bags over backpacks. The latter distributes weight evenly while the former stresses one side of the body, often leading to the need for chiropractic adjustments.
LorenzoNW whole lot easier to get to.

Most people don't put 30 - 40 lbs of stuff in a messenger bag.
Some people think backpacks look silly, especially for a business person. Others like how they look. Individual taste
If you order this from their webside you can chose if you want the logo with or without the text.

I thought this was a terrific review. Great delivery and such smooth transitions as well
I wish there was something like this that held A3 paper. I need to carry lots of A3 around and I'm tired of carrying a satchel and a separate portfolio.
Unless you are the size of Andre the Giant isn't a satchel that can hold A3 flat going to be absolutely huge?

How the bag doing????
Great bags from Nutsac. Now available in black, as Nick has here, "Indiana Jones" which I have and also coal - a light grey colour.
Where do you store your knife in the bag ?
Thanks for the review.

Masculinity is inherently fragile, now imagine you've built your whole identity around it.

Nick Shabazz and I feel it's the exact opposite actually.

Nick Shabazz Thanks for the prompt reply!! I'll be getting one of these...I think I can rock a murse.
Didn't expect such negativity towards satchels in the comments. Good review as always
I wonder if he appreciates it very much..
Why can't you just pick the threads on the branding? And then put a morale patch on it?
Any easy fix for the branding badge is to use a seam ripper and take it off. I did it on mine and I am glad that I did.
Great objective and capacious review! 👍🏻👍🏻😜

I just ordered one. They now come with the acorn only with no text. Your choice.
Nice bag just bought great quality
I like this one better than the small one. However, the exchange rate between Australia and the US is pretty sad at the moment.

That's a lotta money for what you get
Someone who has used this in university?

Nice knife
Carry it with my Cold Steel Espada...
Your going to scratch you laptop with the pocket clips on the pens.
"...It's European!"
Who wants chowder
U gotta be a NY City boy
I’m glad this wasn’t... junk.
Magnets eh. Mechanical watches no no
Very good point to consider. Thanks
Real men wear fanny packs.
Find me a fanny pack I can carry my laptop in and I'll buy it and wear it.
Last time i was this early manbags were not cool
Lars Huijskens Nothing has changed
Not my thing i use a backpack or a briefcase. I leave the handbags for the wife.
