    Taking the PLUNGE!!
Dave you continue to reinforce my assessment that you are the hardest working and now the toughest bonsai hobbyist on YT.
Thanks for the entertaining show and best of luck to your son with his new channel!! 🎉

I prefer the hot plunge....Like watching this video in the spa while it snows on my head.
Getting out is the hard part. 😋

Oh man that cold plunge must have been FREEZING! I’ve always wanted to try one of those cold tubs … I’m thinking of doing a polar plunge this year in one of my local rivers! So true about “ugly trees” … ugly trees make beautiful trees! Nice prunes!

To cold for me -but thumbs up to you. Great to see you talk through the ugly trees we all have in 'our' collections. It is rare for me to give up on anything so I still have loads or work to do :)

@@DavesBonsai I actually skipped the big party. Infact, it was held at the farm in the barn right next to your original Bonsai Acres. Two of us on the same day, but my daughter and John attended. I stayed home where it is quiet, and watched bonsai videos.

That big hub on the hibiscus, I bet you can make it look better by doing a lightning strike on it some way. Like the top was hit by lightning. I wonder if there is a way you could simulate that, burn and all. Now that would make a great video for you.

Dave, love your support of Toby’s channel, but the plunge would be too much for me. I can find something hard to do in the morning that doesn’t turn my extremities blue. 😂 Ugly tree syndrome is a transitional stage. Sometime you have to make your tree a little ugly in the hope of beautifying it in the future. Happy New Year!

For me there is no ugly bonsai.., just not perfected. Can’t believe you took the plunge it looked upsetting! The only way I could do it is with a Black label IV 😂 Happy New year Dave! All the Best to he’s plunging endeavors.

    Love a good ugly tree
They can be disheartening if they don’t respond “correctly”. But they usually show me more than i think I know.
As for polar plunges, sometimes I turn the hot water down a little when I’m showering. Does that count?
