I heard that you cannot score points from taking a shot from the knee, such as taking a single leg or a double leg is that true? That’s kind of upsetting to me if it is because the reason why I am so interested in the sport is because it appears as close as you can get to folk style wrestling, which I did all of my life, it’s unfortunate because most wrestling is done from the knee such as a sprawl situation or driving from a shot
It's like saying not allowing strikes in jiu jitsu does not make sense because its not MMA or its like saying kneeing opponent while hes down does not make sense.
Thank you for this video. As always very informative. Upload more videos. Your channel is best Sambo channel. 👍👍
I never understood why choke holds are illegal.
Sambo wrestling is probably the most useful wrestling style for MMA and real fighting. As realistic as it gets.
Thanks for comment
Great rules! Thanks guys you are doing a Top job. Awesome channel.
Outstanding video. Keep them coming! :)
Very excellent explanation
Differences between Sambo and Combat Sambo??
Thank you for sharing this video
Grappling (sport sambo), mma (combat sambo)
I'd love to try Sambo out but unfortunately the closest gym is over 2 hours away. I train in bjj witch I love buy I think sambo would be fun too.
Yes I have to commute 70 minutes drive to the nearest Gym. I understand your frustration, especially as my van is currently off the road!😢

Very interesting!
What is the reasoning why throwing opponent while staying standing is given extra points?
Isn't that obvious? It reflects on a real life situation where you are much better off staying standing after a throw.
@@henrikg1388 interesting
trying to make it "judo like"?
dont need that sheet
I thought toe hold, heel hook, and chokes are legal.
In sambo ...no
Very clear! Thanks! ;)
Not allowing strangles is very bad, and it does not make much sense.
what sport do you do???

Strangles are allowed in combat sambo.
