  • Defense against triangle strangle is a often seen situation. In this video you’ll learn how to defend.
    Obviously the best defense is not to get caught. But what to do if you actually do get caught? My advice is to keep shoulders shrugged and elbows close to you in order not to get caught. And if you get caught prop opponent’s knee against the mat and slide forward. Watch the video, subscribe and share if you found it useful

    Sambo is a versatile sport because it has large amount of techniques in standing position as well as on the ground. Why can't you throw an opponent who's equal or stronger opponent? There are two main reasons. First - you're setting up and doing the throw wrong, and the second you're predictable and everyone knows your moves. In both cases your technique is flawed and something has to be changed. All progressive MMA fighters are incorporating sambo submissions. It's easily explainable due to limited time on the ground ( 2-5 seconds to catch and another minute to complete ). Sambists research the fastest and most effective ways to finish for years. Why does everyone want to finish fast? It's an opportunity to finish in style and preserve your energy. I know the taste of quick finishes like no other. 25 years in sambo, 13 World Championships in which i earned 2 golds, 4 silvers, 1 bronze and most importantly 90% of my victories happened before regulation time expired. I spent 20000 hours

    Very beautiful and technical. Thank you. There's a special grace to Eastern European practitioners that I cannot explain.

    Simple and to the point. Thanks for the technique. Usually when I roll, 50% of the time I got Mounted Triangle, but will try to push with legs more.

      I tried it this technique and it worked...... in fact one of my students was caught in a triangle during training and I coached him through it with having been taught it and he escaped, so very functional 👍

    How about when the triangle is tight? It didn't look very tight here.

  • @derekbaker4942
    @derekbaker4942 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I tried this and got stuck. 🤣... I didn't slam down hard enough or have my foot up. 3 minutes later I got out of the triangle when he went for an arm bar which I hitch hikered out from. 🤣 🤣 🤣 I survived.
