- Lucy Charles-Barclay has a point to prove.
Injured whilst at the height of her powers and the #1 ranked athlete in the world, it's been a tough road to recovery for the British triathlete. Told by doctors that her injury may be a career changing injury, she was determined to return stronger than ever.
Fuelled by a snub from Team Europe's captains at the Collins Cup, Charles-Barclay made her comeback at the World Triathlon Long Distance Championships and claimed victory in convincing style.
Now she's heading to Dallas to take on those that have revelled in her absence, looking to prove she is back stronger.

How long will the PTO last. They are spending an absolute fortune putting on these Open and Collins Cup events and paying the athletes, but so far they are generating minimal if any income. How sustainable is it? Sadly, I give it 3 years from beginning to end.
Our only true Hope on the American potential is Ben Kanute and Taylor Knibb, the rest of our American contingent are too weak unfortunately. GG! Go Taylor Go Ben! It's all you Taylor K and LCB for the win, all other ladies are racing for 3rd! GG!
Why so much attention on Sam Laidlow?? Let’s be hones, at this stage he’s just a lippy also ran. Focus on the top guys PTO, not the ones who are all talk and little performance/results.
