"Hello" was released in 2010 -- 2 years after their debut. SHINee's look in this MV is totally the boyfriend look. The whole aesthetic of the MV is supposed to give them a cute, approachable boyfriend image.The story is how they are trying to work up the courage to say hello to the girl they like and to ask her to be their girlfriend. :D Jonghyun is sitting on the step waiting for the girl to come home and he has a gift in a box, Key has a couple ring (not a ring for a marriage proposal -- a ring you give the girl you are dating symbolizing that, to borrow from an old fashion term, you're "going steady"), Onew has flowers, Taemin -- because he is only 17 in this MV -- has that plushy that he is decorating for the girl he likes and Minho has a giant teddy bear in the passenger seat of his car. LOL yep, it's a pretty simple story about just being brave enough to say hello and confess your feelings.
This was SHINee's follow up comeback after their release of "Lucifer." Usually when SHINee has a comeback if their first release was a darker theme like "Lucifer" then their repackage comeback release will be a brighter happy song like you see with "Hello," and vice versa.
Fun fact: We don't need to know who is on the other side of the door because Shawols are supposed to imagine it's us who they are coming to see. Shawols are SHINee's girlfriends and they are trying to work up the courage to say hello to us. LOL
So in this MV, Onew and Jonghyun were 20, Key was 19, Minho was 18 and Taemin was 17.
Jonghyun with that little girl is so precious. If you want to see more of SHINee with little kids, if you haven't already, you should check out the reality show SHINee did called "Hello Baby." It was a show where the members of SHINee spent several weeks raising a little 3 year old boy and they were supposed to be his surrogate "Appas" (fathers). It's extremely cute and you can find episodes of the show with English subs on TH-cam. All the members of SHINee are actually really great dad material and they all have a soft spot for little kids -- although little children kind of make Onew nervous sometimes, LOL. You should also see Minho when he spends time with little kids, it will make your heart melt. SHINee are going to be such great dads someday -- their kids are going to be so lucky.

This is such a sweet vibe from them, pure feel-good, and yes they can do everything. :-)
It continues to blow my mind that SM picked these five to become Shinee ‐ I think fate and/or magic must've played a role in that decision. They were born to perform together as well as to be solo artists.

This song is so feel good, always puts a smile on my face. And yes! Onew will have a comeback soon, his first full album! Then we have Taemin coming back in April and then shinee comeback in May! So much to look forward to.

My suggestion is to better watch SHINee live performances first than the MVs. If you do have throwback sessions, it's best to dive into SHINee MVs as reference of their journey to Kpop and music industry which started from the 2nd generation. As fans including myself, I'm more than eager and excited to watch reaction of live performances, it brings me chill whenever.. there are tons of clips from their live concerts. thank you for reacting to our boys SHINee.
