My favorite line was when he told one of the guest that security was there to protect them, not him!! Heck yes!!!!!
Years ago I had a husband, who decided to completely ignore his 15 month old, birth son for over 8 hours, while I was at work. No food was given, no change of diapers, and ignored blood curling screams from his son in his crib. I happened to come home early, I swore I heard his cries from down the street. I called the cops and explained what I was hearing, I got home, slammed the door open, picked up my son, handed him to my mom who was with me. Dragged my ex out of bed, kicked him through the bedroom door. He ran outside; where 4 cops surrounded him, and I beat the shit out of him with a miniature wooden bat. There was two cops that were very much like Steve, and would not rescue my ex from me. Instead, whenever I dropped the mini bat, one of them would quickly pick it up, and hand it back to me, to continue the beating. They absolutely refused to defend my ex. I let my ex punch me once. Strictly to give me a reason for defending myself. I didn’t know until the court case for him came up, but those two cops explained throughly the drug abuse I found with him, and excessive force and intimidation previously used on me, the neglect of our 15 month baby boy. They explained in the report that after a domestic incident I fought back, pushing him into the yard where my ex “scraped his face on the concrete, causing the facial swelling and abrasions” it’s been well over 20 years today. One of the cops is now DEA and the other a Sergeant. I still send a card with a Dunkin’ Donuts gift card, every year in a forever Thank You. It’s a rough world, but there are cops out there like Steve who tolerate zero BS from others, I’m extremely lucky to have met two like him here in rural Tampa, Florida.

A friend of my brothers had a Wilcos grade shout out with another guy and died of a heart attack before he could throw the first punch. Steve's gotta slow it down in his middle age so he can be there to write a book or something when he's 85.
