Thanks Steve Potter & The Weekly Fly. I was just starting to tie flys and had already tyed muddlers and deer hair poppers when I read about Dalhberg's diver and his floating minnow in a magazine. I used materials I harvested from hunting so only natural colors were used. Both versions of the diver, hackled and rabbit are awesome. Wish TH-cam was around back then to see the techniques Steve demonstrates. I think the hardest part of this fly for me, once I got the feel of working the thread and hair, is knowing when to STOP TRIMMING! Before you know it your bug looks like a bad day at barber school 😱 Thanks again...

This guy makes me want to handle deer hair. I have always liked the effect but hated the mess it makes. These are great to tie outside. House keeping is difficult enough without dyed deer hair everywhere. All the best to you and thanks for sharing this pattern. Also thanks for the link to the other flies. When I see Steve's work I always want more. Sean

Thanks for the comment Sean, he is a master at it and makes it look easy, but still pretty messy.

No problem. A single view is better in my opinion. But was really thinking about those with that syndrome I can't recall the name of. Lol
