Très joli voyage aérien du vendredi soir Cher Marc. Un bel avion avec un aménagement élégant et confortable "à la française".. La trousse amenities est superbe, j'adore ! le catering est correct et joliment présenté. Le clou du reportage étant évidemment le nouvel avion, le voyage était un peu lent et monotone sauf l'orage très impresionnant!! J'ai vu qu'Air France prend une route "du sud". J'aurais aimé la route polaire avec des paysages souvent exceptionnel, mais peut-être ce sont les scandinaves et les allemands qui les emprentent. Air France survole l'Arctique dans le send Japon-France en raison des vents favorables comme la plupart des autres compagnies. À l'occasion, elle peut prendre la route du sud si les conditions météorologiques ne le permettent pas. Dans le sens Paris- Tokyo, toutes les compagnies européennes et japonaises prennent la route du Sud pour les mêmes raisons. L'Idéal, évidemment, serait de pouvoir à nouveau survoler la Russie pour raccourcir de quelques heures le temps de voyage.
Well by experience it's much more spread at Frankfurt in Europe or of course the world leader in this categroy would be the Infamous Doha Hamad airport where you are almost sure to board by bus
Thank you for the trip review. I was a bit disoriented by the title: AIR FRANCE Brand New BOEING 777-300ER. There is nothing new about this product - neither an aircraft neither the best class seats (old cathay style heringbone seats). Boarding via the stairs is fun for aviation geeks, but the lack of separate bus for premium passengers is a feature of quietly poor airlines. Catering is always top notch on Air France, however the product overall is sub par to Japan Airlines/ANA and competing with one stop brilliant Qatar/Emirates. I hope the the price reflects that

What about Lufthansa, Finnair, British Airways, Iberia or LOT who also fly to Japan? How do their product compare to Japanese and Middle-Eastern airlines?
Not much point in scanning the menu/wine list so fast and at such a distance, nothing can be read. The cocktail service always comes with a small box of French-style cheese crisps. What happened to the first course ? You started with the main course. I have traveled AF in J many times and it is always excellent. Not much point in looking out of the window on to a night sky. This could have been a LOT better.
Why is it bad? CDG is a very busy airport. Not all planes can get a jet bridge, especially in the peak season. The same happens regularly in Heathrow with BA and many other other European airports. I will certainly not complain as it gives me another opportunity to see the aircraft.
Much better Lufthansa, British, or Swis Air. They are the best in crew ...that are quite unfriendly (sometimes rude and unpleasant). They manners are so curt...
Food service complete failure- how can they serve nuts in a plastic bag? Asian people hate cous cous - me included. Instant noodles for snack for business class?? And you - can u pls at least add a few subtitles to tell us what the foods are? Did they serve champagne?

British are the best from career you mention. I would prefer to fly to Japan from Europe via Dubai or Doha with Emirates or Qatar

CDG is one of the busiest airports in Europe, so that’s not surprising to have to go to a mobile stand.
