The argument Destiny makes is quite simple, I don't know why those clowns are so resistant to it. It goes "there's a potential treatment to reduce the incidence of child rape and it's worth exploring it, if research shows it works then it should be implemented, if research shows it doesn't work then it shouldn't". And their dumbass counterargument is "this potential solution is *a priori* uncomfortable and should be rejected before being studied, even though it may impede the creation of a program that might reduce child rape". It's an emotional argument and it's so fucking weak.
You could even twist it to say that by being so resistant to even entertaining the idea, or trying to make any positive inroads that prevents more children being raped in the future, they are implicitly advocating for the sexual abuse of children.

It goes "there's a potential treatment to reduce the incidence of child rape and it's worth exploring it, if research shows it works then it should be implemented, if research shows it doesn't work then it shouldn't". And their dumbass counterargument is "this potential solution is *a priori* uncomfortable and should be rejected before being studied, even though it may impede the creation of a program that might reduce child rape".
