The fact that the audio isn't the best makes it really seem like it's an old voice box letting out a song with a few static-y bits and odd cut offs. Very cool and clever, although not your fault. Sometimes poor audio quality can be detrimental, other times, like here, it can make the scene... pop in a weird way. At least for me it does. (ADD is a weird thing)
