    Can you put together a 30 minute workout for older women who have never worked out 😬 Or point me to one of yours that fits this need?

      What you need if you've never trained before may vary based on your even your previous injury history. Honestly, even starting up by walking can be AMAZING as you then move into bodyweight routines and do that mobility work. I have an app with workout routines to help different goals, training schedules, even based on equipment you have access to and I implement these tips. But you may also find my free FB group helpful if you're just starting out - strongateveryage.com/fb-group?sl=youtubecomment

      If you haven’t purchased the app you won’t be able to create an account if you did there is an email with instructions to get it set up. If you don’t see it make sure to check your spam folder!

    1000%! I started doing cardio a year ago when i turned 49, didn't see much of a change for several months until i added weight training. This summer i turned 50. Over the last year ive dropped 20 lbs and seen huge changes in my physique and metabolism. The amount of food i eat in a typical day at work is crazy. Dont know how many guys at work have asked how i possibly eat as much as i do. The only answer i can give is the increase in metabolism that weights and cardio have made. One or the other is good and will make you feel better. But doing them both is like jet fuel. I do a 3 day cycle. Cardio, lower body, upper body, then start again with cardio. I see so many guys at the gym that just want to lose weight so they only do cardio on The machines, or want to gain muscle so they only do weights (lol so many skipped leg days 🙄). You got to do both. It takes a bit (few months for me) for your body to start changing and adapting, but it will, and when it starts the change, youll see happen. Massive motivation boost. I eat like im in my 20s. I feel like my body is what it looked like then too. Its been about a year and i have no interest in stopping. I actually look forward to cardio days and having my shirt soaked through when im done. Even when your not doing anything, your extra muscle and increased metabolism just munch through calories. You just have to get through the first few months untill you start to see the change, when you do you wont want to stop.

      Thank you for your comment, you have inspired me. I’m always so lazy to do strength training and I love to run, but have not had success with losing weight and I know it’s because I have not done strength training as often as I should. You, and Cori with this video gave me the inspiration I needed 😊

    No exercise 50 days🦁 and my muscles are improving 🤔 other than that,
    I understood 30 second bursts with 90 second slow down was good, and 25 reps for stamina and 3 reps for bulk but obviously if the load is to high you may cause damage, and it is always a good idea to keep good form.

    Thanks for very substantial information. I am ,however, not personally convinced that this would be the right thing for me. 1) It does not seem fun or enjoyable at all. 2) I am a satisficer, not an optimizer. Good enough is enough. 3) Why would I want to do all those elaborate exercises in a gym? If I can't do it at home or in the open air, it is a no go for me. But if your knowledge could be applied for persons like me, I would be highly interested.

    Cori, do you have a patreon we could give to?
    Also, i am really confused about the whole muscles need to rebuild, after lifting weights makes the micro-tears-in-the-muscle thing.
    I do intense weights Sun, Wed then Sat with fast treadmill for 20 minutes at the end of each session.....I would also like to do lunges, clam shells, bridges, dead bugs, sumo plies and regular plies every single day of the week.
    Does this screw up the recovery of the muscles from the weight lifting? And if I do step aerobics for 30 minutes as well, 3 days a week, does this also screw up the muscle re-build because I am not fully resting between weight lift days?
    Sorry if this is ignorant....just don't want to end up injured and any progress thrown out the window.
    Thank you!! I am in my late 50s....no estrogen/full hystectomy 10 years ago.

    • @tbauer2521
      @tbauer2521 ปีที่แล้ว

      20 to 30 minutes. The Super Squats program of 3 sets bench, 2 sets rows, 1 set of maximum squats 3x a week works brilliantly. Starting at 2x a week would be a good start. 4x a week I wouldn't recommend, unless of course you're loaded with annabolics. If you're doing multiple exercises per muscle group ( which will not work as well for most) then once a week. You must consume enough protein for muscle growth. I started with .75g per pound of body weight and ended up at 1.5g. Of course extreme body compositions will make a difference. Amino acid supplements are very beneficial. Once you feel like you've gained enough from that program you can focus on specifics. I'm not an expert, but was fairly accomplished and know what worked for me. Long post, I had a moment, Good Luck

    Great tips. Just turned 34 a couple days ago and my metabolism is still high. I do a lot of HIIT and strength training. Also kickboxing and tabata too. I use a short cooldown, a quick indoor sprint, yoga, or pilates as a finisher as a final workout paired with my main workout/s 😊
    I especially always do full body workouts for convenience and better overall results 😊 And I am a male myself too

      I’m 42 year old female in good shape and I do full body workouts rather than “splits” etc as I feel it’s the best way to keep me in shape. Metabolism still good so far and I eat well. I do let me hair down but am always back on it the next day. That’s where most people mess up and blame age for th with weight. I prob have menopause round the corner but will try my best to feel my best 😊
