  • Drone flying over Rawlins, Wyoming proved to be a little more windy than expected per wheather.com. I also measured the wind at ground level three times over a 5-minutes period like I normally do when flags are flying fast and I had a top reading of 14 MPH. I then plan for twice that about 150' which I never get close to in these conditions. Taking off was great and no issue was prevalent as maneuvered about 6' above me so I flew for a few seconds until a gust hit me on the ground. Still no issue for my drone at about 30'; however, I still started to descend and return home on a safe path. En route to landing you can see my hat blow off with the next gust so I landed sooner even though the drone displayed little impact to the wind. I ate lunch and tried again on the northside closer to the mountains. This time the top wind was 10 MPH on the ground so I felt all was great. At about 45' I felt a strong gust on my drone and canceled my flight. This is my first time having such strongs winds at that altitude without flying between mountains on in a ocean strait/bay entry. You may still find a few things to enjoy of what I filmed so I am posting it today.
I hope you enjoy and subscribe to this TH-cam drone channel while seeing my travels from an aerial view above nature, towns and cities in the UK, Ireland, Europe, Australia, US, Canada, and several islands @ / jamesbebop . Or please visit my photo website with photos of 49 countries/islands, all 50 states and all but one province in Canada that I could not drive through at www.JGlowacki.com . I love to drive throughout the world whether on the right or left with either left-hand steering or right-hand steering and of course I have become accustomed to using a stick-shift with both hands :) I truly enjoy the great food and discussions with locals where I have been blessed to travel. Included on this channel are some driving and snorkeling videos and even a couple bike rides I recorded.
You can also see my beginning drone videos looking at 2016 dates when I filmed in safe nature areas. I practiced how to crash safely, how to fly with three propellers and how to ground the drone and drive to it. I practiced in snow, rain and extreme cold to make sure I understood the drones limitations before I went to the big cities. I handle a drone like I do a gun and I truly hope others do the same.
Please share your thoughts with me; even if they are not easy to read, I need to know how I am meeting your expectations 😊
    Thank you,
    James
