Looks like a nice route. I might have to fly over from Germany next year to participate. I lived in Virginia for 3 years and really miss it. Its been 20 years since I was last there

Loudoun gravel never disapoints, and neither do the views. Next year for this one, for sure!

Nice ride. Happy to see you take time to help the Eastern box turtle cross the road.

Special event in a special place. I participated in it a few years ago and rode some of these roads on Sunday.

Those are some really great paths… so peaceful man. Even better when you got Italian company.

Kudos to those land owners but enjoy it while it lasts. Loudoun Cty still has about 250 miles of *public* gravel roads but there's significant pressure to pave them over. In central Maryland there's no gravel left and in southern Pennsylvania it is also disappearing fast. You may ride Strava segments with gravel in their name only to find new tarmac. Progress I guess...

This event should have been free given the land owners get VERY generous tax breaks for the conservation easement. The people who own the land shown in the video really don't need tax breaks. No wonder the rich keep getting richer. They get tax breaks and then to add insult to injury we have to pay to ride on their conservation easements.
I boycotted this ride. I hope others do as well.

I suppose you would rather see data centers littering the countryside stop being so jealous and envious and just enjoy the ride. One life my friend don’t spend it bitter

I loved the ride, I hope the area never changes and is shielded from development. I first rode in the area around 2010, it is a true gem and so close to DC.

No jealousy. Just tired of getting scammed by politicians. Why are we giving tax breaks to people who don't need it?

@@GravelCyclist Don't you think taxpayers should get a return on their investment like opening up conservation easements to the public? Neither you or I can claim a conservation easement tax credit. Somebody has to make up the difference in taxes not paid either by tax evasion or tax loopholes. Lastly, would you or your fellow Aussies be OK paying more in taxes so the rich pay less? By the way, can you please take Ruport Murdoch back! I'm in favor of revoking Murdoch's citizenship and banishing him to Australia. I mean, Australia used to be a penal colony. A perfect place for Murdoch and Trump. Making America great again.

@@roadracer1158 Thanks for your comments, I encourage discussion in a positive manner, sans any political BS. I think you'll find no Aussie desires to have Rupert Murdoch returned, he revoked his citizenship many years ago, that pissed off many of the locals.
