JR always tells you that just because it didn’t look good to him doesn’t mean it won’t look good for you. You have to look at reviews with an open mind and not as a tell all. I always look at the reviews just to see what is said but I don’t use it as a decision maker. I threw this ball in a demo over the weekend and it responded very well for me. I was able to move 5-7 boards left to right and was able to hit the pocket and carry. I for one like the honest reviews.
My phaze AI rolls exactly like yours. It gets really forward. But when I took a little shine off it rolled ALOT better. It was way more continuous. Love your vids.
Thanks for the review. It's a beautiful bowling ball with a great reaction. definitely will be a good complement to the Phaze 2 and or be a ball for transitions. I pre ordered the Power Edge from bowlerx, can't wait to try it out.
JR Slap a little polish on your Phase 2 and try it again ❤🎉😊 I'm having good results using Nu polish they sell at Walmart In the orange container The Car polish by Hand is Fabulous haven't tried it on a ball spinner yet!!❤🎉😊
You’re the first person I’ve seen throw this ball where it wasn’t hooking a ton on the end. I have one on order and this worries me a little. I am more of a lower rev guy and wonder if I might not have enough turn to make this ball work. I’ve had problems with other Storm balls in the past such as the Hyroad which wouldn’t do anything for me. Would taking a bit of the shine off with a 4000 pad possibly help so it picks up a touch earlier?
I’m in the same boat, have one on order but similar to you (I’m guessing) I’m more up the back without a lot of tilt. Think prob just touching the shell will hopefully help but not sure this is going to be the ball to open up the lanes after watching this.
There is an old saying, you need to watch several people roll this ball before any of you get worried about how it may roll for you. Use JR's look to adjust possibly. 12 Bagger, Charles throws it amazingly, and SOMETIMES JR has a good look and Charles doesn't. Sometimes the layout plays a roll, and sometimes the lanes play a roll in the look. I drilled a summit at 5 inch and it was the wrong look for me. I'm gonna drill mine around that 4 1/4 or so
Very condition specific, controls the pocket but carry is questionable at times, meaning the ball tends to stands up a bit early resulting in flat 10 or worse yet pocket 7-10…I’m a lower tilt player so I think there are better options out there. I’m going to take mine down to 4-5k to try to get it to store a little more, if that helps I’ll update.
Any ball review you should take with a grain of salt. Depending on the lanes you bowl on (wood type), oil pattern, rev rate, tilt, and people who are bowling on your pair greatly affects the ball motion. I got my phase ai 2 weeks ago, drilled the pin just above and to the right of my ring finger (hoping to keep the flare tighter to retain energy as the lane breaks down) and it rolls amazing. Great angle once the lanes break down which is what I got it for. On the fresh it doesn’t look great, especially since the house shot I bowl on has OB right of 5 (thanks bowlero). So for any new bowlers watching you tube to try and figure out if a ball will be good for you, talk to the pro shop owner, and hopefully he cares enough to watch you throw a ball and figure out a layout that’s appropriate for you.
Fresh out of the box, my friend Mike Peters shot 300-277-287 for an 864 with it in a tournament. The next day at another tournament he had back to back 279’s and a 268. He seems to LOVE it!!! Lol. 😬
That first shot, you had a bunch of 6 lb balls back there and sounded like the lane shaker wasn’t on , like a belt was off. I definitely don’t like that reaction it has for you on that pattern. It’s almost stopping before the head pin. Might need a trick layout for you like the 5 inch one you were using not to long ago.
Drilled 1 tonight. Very good ball. Clean. Hooks. Hits.
Thanks for the good honest ball reviews all time JR.. Appreciate it bro!!

Love the fact that your eye can see the ball as it goes through progression
That first ball you threw. Watched with headphones and you can definitely hear the sound 😂

What grit did you hit it with?
@ light scratching with a 2000 abralon pad.
@@shanehelm1570 thanks!

Ball makes me think of the old Storm Punch out as far as the designs on it
Cool video talk tech bowling ball Jr Raymond
Thanks JR

I’m lovin this ball my area is med dry perfect for me
JR, any chance you could have a clinic at Missey’s bowling center in San Diego?

Hook/Stop. …. What lane surface are you bowling on? I’d love to see it up against the Zen.
How does this compare to the Phaze III?

I have one coming Monday, can’t wait to get it!
I just got it and after I hit it with 4000 the ball really started to roll for me. Don't hesitate to hit right out of the box.
Is this ball equivalent to the raptor rush?
If I have a VEBO, do I need the Phaze Ai? Besides the Ai being symmetrical, the numbers are almost the same so what would be the difference?
Vebo more violent, no need for ai
Look similar to Exotic Gem when it came out
How would this compare to the Summit Peak?

I see there are bumpers up a couple lanes over is that for old guys. Lol

This looks like the cell for me
This ball did not look good. It was too high maintenance. Thanks for the honest review.

I shot a 300 on the 5th time out of the box average about a 225 the others. Not sure where you get the high maintenance, but it's a good ball.
You Preach surface adjustment, why don't you knock the shine off and give this ball another chance?

What will the old-timers say about this? lol
Pull your pants up and put your thumb in the ball😠😠
Not something that would go in my bag
Here we go again really? What kind of excuse you're gonna blame on this now? What kind of lies you gonna tell us about
Why are you so salty? Don't watch or comment if you don't like the channel. Try and contribute something to society instead of complaining!
Damn Glenda it’s call scroll paste the video if you don’t like his opinion on the balls he reviewed smfh
