The reason why soldiers wear watches backwards has nothing to do with light discipline. Literally nothing. No idea why your crappy copy writers wrote that. We do it because, in a tough environment, things worn on the outsides of the wrist get broken easily. The place people put a watch is the first thing that gets hit by stuff.

As someone who has done some crazy things in my life, the timeline is accurate. It’s one of the things that feels real about this series. Things spiral out of control, and it’s rare that it really takes a whole lot of time. Instead, you are running on adrenaline for a few days, maybe a couple of weeks. You hope you can find a way out of the mess you’re in before fatigue gets you killed. By the time it’s all over all you want to do is sleep.

The only time I ever felt something like that is when I tried to break up a fight between a pitbull great dane mix and a pitbull. They suddenly got into it and I was so exhausted from trying to separate them, and getting a couple of accidental bites, I was never so fatigued in my life! I had never felt that before, ever, just being so unbelievably tired, but not giving up! It was such an unreal, dreamlike feeling. I didn't even feel pain, just terrible, dragging exhaustion...luckily, everything turned out ok, but I learned a lot about stress and resilience! We can seriously do more than we believe! I had never tried very hard in my life, being really good at avoiding, since I never thought I could succeed at anything, i always just refused to compete, until I started running after a health scare. Trying to do better every day was such a new concept that I became interested in seeing what I could do. Since I'm old now, I'm not going to be an Olympian or anything, but I'm living proof that you can be the scrawniest, oldest person and still surprise yourself and others with what can be done!

the thing with the watch is that it not only is warn like that to keep light from reflecting off it, but also to look at the watch at a glance when holding something in your hands in front of you, like say tools at a mechanic shop, or a pistol. i know because my father was a marine and mechanic, whenever he put on a watch he would wear it like this when i was a kid.

Makes my historical name (descended from David's brother John) rather mundane by comparison.

Donnie Yen as assigned assassin was started as a worrier character. As the story goes deeper, the brother bonds chemistry is started to shine. I was worry the standard Hollywood writing just invited Donnie for a short appearance. Didn’t expected the character writing is one of the rare sincerity for Asian superstars in Hollywood action movie. Even though the blind man seems ridiculously smart but Donnie Yen had carefully designed the character so cool. He respected John and loves his daughter but he can’t refused the Top orders directly. Smart put in every levels.
The villain leader was really shines this time in Chapter 4. Hiroyuki Sanada is another outstanding casting amongst the three brothers bonding in the storyline.
Only bounty hunter with a trained dog appeared is not that appealing to me. Thought we already have dogs as side-kick in chapter 3. I like the idea which he have the wits to pump up the market price in hunting John wick. But the overall aura from the character is lacking in many ways. All the scenes, he looks so desperation for money and being the one least enjoying in the Killing journey. This makes him badly like an average joe as the rest of the street gangsters.
Anyway, third chapter is still my favo. Honestly Chapter 4 is a standard ending to retire John Wick for the honourable cinematic action figure already. The environment setup for every action scenes is very beautiful designed than every previous chapter. Ironically, this should be Matrix 4 by all means with those cyberpunk lighting vibes in Berlin.

Well, in case of his background and history, in Chapter 3 during his visit in the theatre he talks to a woman that used to raise him. During his visit we are shown/told that his real name is Jardani Jovanovich, he's Belarussian and judo/wrestling prowess comes from the fact, that in the group of children raised by this woman girls are trained in ballet and gymnastics, and boys are trained in wrestling. I'm fairly sure the "I'll be seeing you" is a variation of "I'll see you in hell" trope amongst characters in the action genera. Wick's responses more in line with how he thinks of the person he's responding to. Others, he's had more respect for. Zero, he views more of as a delusional fanboy. It's Wick's way of saying "you're not worthy".

I was reminded of Boondock Saints 2 ending "I´ll see you in a minute" says a dying man before shooting his enemy. They both will go to hell for what they did, I think John Wick agreed, that he and Viggo are bad people and will end accordingly. The rest...maybe John starts to get out of his depression over the movies and regains his will to live, especially when the people who utilize him and other killers are worse than the actual killers in his eyes. Or at least, he comes to that conclusion till the end of the third movie.

If true, I think it would interesting to see a love story where John meets Helen during a visit to the NYC Continental, she gets involved in a job or is targeted to get at Winston and John saves her, leading to them falling in love and John having to pull off the seemingly impossible job that put Tarasov into power so he can retire and be with Helen.

Usually it was a small copper or bronze coin.

FYI. The watch is not only for not showing glimt, it’s also so you can se it when holding a rifle in high / low ready, then you don’t need to take your hand of the rifle.
When i where in the Army, we used to have our watch on the right hand, and our wrist GPS on the left hand (and the other way arround for lefties).

I’ve been to Italy before, the jet lag kept me down the whole first day. Can’t imagine Him jest-setting back an forth and
Doing all he does and still be able to move

john wicks dog daisy and the fact he is going on a killing spree because she was killed is actually a reference to the video game doom.

I’ve noticed that not every time John hangs up the phone on a person doesn’t necessarily mean the person he’s conversing with on the phone is going to die.

I think you guys got the mark dacascos reference wrong. It's a homage to sonny chiba who played the sushi chef in kill Bill.

Ya know, I've always found the things that break people's otherwise normal mental functions to be fascinating. Like pronunciations, for example. In this video, we hear that the narrator can pronounce the place known as "Acheron" with no problem. Yet sees the name "Charon," and suddenly forgets how they pronounced "Acheron." Humans are weird.
