www.pyramydair.... Crosman Vigilante is an upgrade of the well renowned Crosman 357 CO2 revolver, but it's a bit more than just a facelift. Watch the whole video to learn more!
I don't know what's wrong with the gun used in the test, Mine gives around 100 shots from one Co2 on target. For those looking for a revolver that will last, this one will. The internals apart from the indexing pawl are made of steel. The internals of the Dan Wesson and its derivatives are alloy and will wear out.
Excellent informative review. I have the older Crosman model 3576 .177 cal air revolver, and recently purchased it's updated version the 'Vigilante'. Both good buys for the money.
This was the first gun I ever purchased about 30 years ago. I wore the old one out and recently purchased the Vigilante. I still have the old 4", 6" and 8" ALL METAL barrels. The 8" came with a scope as well. It's an old classic and so much fun. Would really like to see a chrony with the 8" barrel.
I'm glad I just bought this gun after watching this review and the comments on it. I had never seen one before and it caught my eye in the store. I then saw that it shot pellets and didn't look like something from a sci-fi movie. The $44 price tag looked great, and it had a $5 mail in rebate with it. I snagged it up with a 25 pack of CO2 and some pellets.
Thank you for the information.... And greetings from Switzerland....I found the same one of mine first CO2 Grosman Revolver from the school time 1983 84. is this factory on work or is it history? I think that my gun needs a little service and pice to stop it to loose Co 2 ..
Only one point: the plastic front part isn't all that inseneitive. The "strap" thingy that actually keeps the gun locked can break or crack if you slam the thing close too many times.
I got this gun too, for the price, this is the TACTICAL crosman 357 with rails and stuff, but ya it is really bang for the bucks, shoots really hard too, good gun! I would not use BBs in this gun though, pellet is the way to go for accuracy!
Hi, im from Thailand and im going to buy the crosman vigilante, i really need to ask you a question , even the manual said that its possible to use BB steel i really afraid that will damage the barrel rifle.. do you think should avoid to use bbs and use just pellet to avoid any damage?
This might be the best pellet pistol repeater ever. I have one that I'm going to convert to .22 another that I just purchased in mint condition at a pawn shop for $25. Crosman thanks for the adjustable rear sights,I am hitting dime sized targets at 10m off the bench with ease. Dear crosman corp.please make this pistol in .22, if you build it they will sell Thanks for a great shooting airgun.
I just got a crossman vigilante pistol and tried two different pellets through it. Results: GAMO silent cat heavy weight .177cal 10.5gr Many would not fire out of the gun. They would get stuck in the clip/mag and I had to push them out using a small nail. Don't buy for this gun!! The next pellet I tried was the CROSSMAN premier hollow point .177cal 7.9gr I fired 140 pellets without any problems.
that can't be right, only 30 good shots per CO2 cartridge, you get that many out of a blow back gun, this gun should get upwards of 70 decent shots per cartridge....
Very good review, you don't waste 10 minutes telling us this is a trigger, etc. I'm convinced I want this pistol to teach my grandson about shooting. One question, what does using the BBs do that is so damaging to the gun? thanks
Have had the old model for years like 15. It finally broke the lever that turns the pellet wheel broke. So i bought this to replace it. This is lighter and the grip is bigger then the old gun. It will kill squirrels, rats, pigeons etc. Use pellets not bb the barrel will last way longer. Double action for fun single for pest control. For larger game i recommend the valiant in .22 cal nitro piston. Raccons, ground hogs, turkey. Thank you crosman i am a loyal customer for life.
Paul, Have you ever done a comparison between the vigilante 357 and the crosman sr357s shooting pellets in both pistols.I would be interested in speed and accuracy of both pistols. As always thanks in advance, Roger Karstofsky
Paul, I just want to let you know all crosman revolver systems shoot faster in DA then SA. Because the hammer goes backfarther in double than single. Although minimal.
The Crosman Vigilante is, to me, the absolute best CO2 revolver. It's around $50, has the all important top rail to accommodate a red/green dot sight, is accurate and easy to clean as the barrel comes out of the frame. I like the way it breaks open Schofield style. But, yeah, like was mentioned in the video, it looks like a real 357 Colt Python or Trooper... so not to freak out my neighbors, I like to paint my realistic looking air guns with an Orange muzzle,,, check out the pic. (My Vigilante with my Daisy 415 and Umarex Steel Force) drive.google.com/open?id=0B9FzxqzIBwcjSFZhaTNvWEpfeVU
If I between that and Dan Wesson 8", what pistol do you recommend? I can't really choose, both airpistols looks great, but which one is more reliable for example? I want a CO2 powered air pistol (revolver) which will serve me for years...
Vigilante is higher in fps, if only by 40 fps, it has a 10 pellet magazine thats easier to load and faster than the wesson, and it's cheaper. Vigilante for proformance, wesson for the looks.
It's interesting that the Vigilante and CR357 are exactly the same gun, but the Vigilante model seems to be more common now. The only difference is the name on the right side of the barrel. The clips and parts are all 100% interchangeable. My CR357 even came with a Vigilante owners manual.
Iskand Semi automatic means each time you pull the trigger, it fires once. This applies to rifles and pistols. Revolvers, on the other hand, are either single or double action. Single action means that the hammer must be pulled back and cocked after every shot. Double action means pulling the trigger cocks the hammer for you, effectively making the revolver a sort of semi auto. Disadvantages of using only double action include a longer and harder pull that may jolt a little bit, making you more innacurate
It's a red dot. There are several on our site that would work perfect on this pistol. You can see there here: www.pyramydair.com/controller?N=1000042+1000016+1316&Nrc=id+1000&Ntk=primary&Ntt=red+dot&Ntx=mode%2Bmatchallpartial&q=red+dot
This air pistol and all the other Crossman air guns I've used they all killed Squirrels/ Small birds/ Big birds and even Hires just take head or neck shots
Pro quality video and testing make this the best review.
I recommend to only use pellets if you want to prolong the life with this gun. You can use BBs, but it's not good for rifled barrels.
I'm getting one! Hello 2019 and the guys and gals of Pyramid air.
I don't know what's wrong with the gun used in the test, Mine gives around 100 shots from one Co2 on target.

Kevin Cudmore cool bruh I'm get this and I Know for a fact it's worth it . I had just got a 80 Ib crossbow self cocking and I need more for sum reason
@@enlightenmentweallneed9420 COOL story bruh!
Excellent informative review. I have the older Crosman model 3576 .177 cal air revolver, and recently purchased it's updated version the 'Vigilante'. Both good buys for the money.
Im hitting a 6inch pot at 30 yards away with pellets using ironsights hahahaa. I think i can hit 40 with a scope or reddot
I miss You ,Paul. Hope You are doing well and still enjoying the sport .

a guy I kno caught one to the forehead from this gun pellet was stuck in, had to go to ER
Just returned to this video. Really enjoy your review of this gun.
Have you since discovered a better plinking pistol? Thanks, Steve
you will ruin a rifleg barrel if you shoot bb's with it
Yes. The BBs are steel, running tightly in a steel barrel with precision grooves, which will wear quickly.
I'm glad I just bought this gun after watching this review and the comments on it. I had never seen one before and it caught my eye in the store. Do you have to pull the hammer back every time you shoot
No it has single and double action

u have a review?
Vincent Han Not done a review of this gun yet, but maybe I should!
Just got this gun. It is AWESOME.

culio pistillo yes, avoid bbs if you want the best accuracy with pellets. Bbs will smooth the rifling quicker than lead pellets.
This might be the best pellet pistol repeater ever. I have one that I'm going to convert to .22 another that I just purchased in mint condition at a pawn shop for $25. i have this and the 10 round pellet clip also can hold bbs
steel bb's will wear the rifling down, unless you can find lead bb's.
that can't be right, only 30 good shots per CO2 cartridge, you get that many out of a blow back gun, this gun should get upwards of 70 decent shots per cartridge....

16 feet is too close for an accuracy test of such a gun. 5y-1' is only 6.4 steps away. Thanks, tho, for showing it and telling the specs.
Paul,

damn. now I gotta slightly alter my order i made with uou guys.😄🗽🌅☀️
Which red dot sight did you use when reviewing Crosman Vigilante, and would that be what you would recommend. Thanks in advance for your answer.
Do youbsuggest it for home defense? We are not allowed to have guns in my country
I worn out two over the last 30 years, and I am working on the third. Love em.
Feels extremly awkward shooting a revolver with no kick lmaoo.
Taka celność???? Chyba na 2 metry!! Strzelalem z tego rewolwera,to masakra.

I have an 8 inch metal 357 Crosman barrel will it fit the vigilante?
For someone who dislikes Copperheads, you sure shoot a lot of Copperheads LOL

i could paint the thread protector on my Kel-Tec PLR-22 orange, then people would think it was a toy.
What airgun websites do you reccomend?

enjoyed video co2 revolver great co2 I have one thank you for video.
Not really then how do you explain the crosman 2100 it can shoot bbs through a rifled barrel and it is reccomended
Excellent. Really appreciated the chrono info!
where can i find that scope ? and how much is it? thanks in advance
too much plastic!!!
Man what a crear video!
Thank you!
Great review, fast and concise. Thanks!
Hi Paul. With my shooting buddies, I'm waiting for the airforce condor SS PART 2
great video! im waiting for mine :)
It's interesting that the Vigilante and CR357 are exactly the same gun, but the Vigilante model seems to be more common now. The only difference is the name on the right side of the barrel. The clips and parts are all 100% interchangeable.
My CR357 even came with a Vigilante owners manual.
This pistol is in my list now but it said it is semi auto ? Why do you reload sfter a shot? Or is it really not semi auto just 1 shot per reload
it's a revolver, you moron! it's single or double action. 10 rounds per magazine in pellet, 6 in BB.
oh my god, you'll herniate your trigger finger! call an ambulance! don't try a .357 magnum, those have REAL RECOIL!
Hi Paul, im waitingr the airforce condor SS PART 2
This introduction is awesome
16ft? Needs to be 30ft
Can some one teach me about airsoft pistol with the semi auto, single/ double action
this isn't airsoft, it shoots steel BB's and lead pellets.
Iskand Semi automatic means each time you pull the trigger, it fires once. This applies to rifles and pistols. Revolvers, on the other hand, are either single or double action. It looks like a really good one but... 30 shots ? Isn't it a bit on the short side ?
That surprised me too, I usually get 70+ shots out of one ASG co2 with my Crosman Vigilante.
+Stéphane Grenier He said that after about 30 shots, the fps dropped... not empty co2. This is normal for pistols pushing in the 450 fps range.
Great review :-)
short range chipmunk hunting?
Eggsr2bcrushed Yea for sure, this could easily take out a chipmunks
Looks nice!
What is the scope you have on that gun?
It's a red dot. There are several on our site that would work perfect on this pistol. You can see there here: www.pyramydair.com/controller?N=1000042+1000016+1316&Nrc=id+1000&Ntk=primary&Ntt=red+dot&Ntx=mode%2Bmatchallpartial&q=red+dot
pyramydair v
Would it kill a squirrel or a bird?
Iv killed birds with it before no problem. I would think a squirrel would die if you shot it in the head with the pointed pellets.
This air pistol and all the other Crossman air guns I've used they all killed Squirrels/ Small birds/ Big birds and even Hires just take head or neck shots
Can I plz have the 357 front piece
is this a break barrel?
Nope, CO2.
Hey, I was wondering if the RWS Superpoint pellets Caliber 0.177" (4.5mm) 8.2gr would work with, and if so, fine with the Vigilante Revolver
