hedy…thanks to your wonderful Easter Bread recipe, my family again enjoys the tradition we shared with my Nonna as kids. After she passed, the family recipes were not able to be found so we lost so many replays of nostalgic meals. Thanks again for sharing your gift. It is so welcomed and appreciated. Happy Easter to you and your family!

I love watching her Arthur! The food is very similar to the food my mom and grandma made. When I got her cookbook, I felt I was looking at my family’s photo album and reading about us! Give us more videos and another cookbook Hedy!

This is how my beloved Sicilian grandma would make Easter bread every year! Thank you for bringing back such joyful memories. The only thing she did differently is she sometimes also added fennel seeds. Maybe those were years when she was low on the anise.😉

I like your style 😀 My family hails from Palermo, Sicily. My mom would make this for Easter and she recently passed away, but I’m certainly going to make this for Easter, as she did on occasion. Definitely adding anise to mine, as is tradition 😊

Thank you so much Rhonda. It wouldn't be Easter without Easter Bread, Pizza Rustica and Pastiera. My grandfather was from Palermo. If you watch the opening credits, he is the one on the dock with the hat holding my mother.

I lost my oldest cousin in 2014 and I really miss Roe, especially around the holidays! She was like my sister! I always called her for cooking questions. I feel like I found a family member watching your videos! I love your cooking and your style! ! I love to cook (and eat of course) and recently started a hand made pasta home business. Plus why so dark ? It would be nice to see you in some color....maybe even a hair bandana......other than that I'm going to give this recipe a try.
