I'm kinda indifferent on the jacket situation. If they hit a homer after being down 12-1, putting on a jacket isn't necessary. But I also think there's nothing wrong with these guys having fun while playing, it's a long season.

I just found the whole jacket celebration killed the mood and moment of a home run. Let’s wait outside the dugout, fiddle around with the jacket and then come in. I like the flow of a real time celebration and the emotions that come with that. Shouldn’t be a procedure
The jacket year exposed the Jays as being more fun loving than being competitive. The number of brain dead plays and errors that lead to loses hijacked their playoff run. Having fun is essential but it must be accompanied by focus and a fierce competitive spirit. This is the year to win it all, but it won’t happen without discipline.

How about paying more attention and stop making defensive and base running mistakes..In the good old days men acted like men when they hit a homer, maybe a fist pump and thats it. First time watching Vlad Jr. speak in an interview. He speaks pretty good English. For me it's interesting because his dad never spoke English in interviews with English speaking media. Vlad Sr. would usually use an interpreter. Here Vlad Jr. doesnt need an interpreter. As for the jacket, I say no to the jacket. Not worth it. Honestly they shouldn't have to use clothes as an incentives for Home Runs.
Apparently, someone in the Montreal media laughed at Vlad Sr.'s accent while he attempted to speak English, and he decided not to speak English from that day forth.
Vladdys got enough rituals for a HR, he does like 6 things. Pointing at various points in the sky, shuffle stepping every base. He even has rituals for base hits. He needs to grow up is what he needs, he'll be just fine without any jacket
This is exactly why the Blue Jays don’t win. As long as the team is centred around Guerrero they will be stuck in neutral. It’s cool to have fun playing but he seems to be focused on the wrong things. His 2023 Postseason performance was embarrassing.
