The motor underneath lets off a slight smell and it's a little loud th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCKuMxLnvr6fJd_M4SE-n7trcGj3zEUHq but considering it's size and how hard it works to do the job, it's sort of expected. I assume the smell will go away over time. Overall, I love this cute little blender. The extra cups and lids are great too!
I always use the pulse just for chopping and prevent from becoming a blended paste.

Hola! Me pasaba lo mismo y lo acabo de resolver, resulto que el palito de la base estaba atorado. Lo que yo hice fue armar el procesador, colocarlo sobre la base y con mucho cuidado, en el nivel más bajo (y sin la tapa pues no cabe) prendí el procesador por como 5 segundos. Claro que sin la tapa las aspas no giran, pero así ya fue como se destrabó el palito de la base! Espero que le sirva
I thought it was me. The top fits when it's off the base. I cannot put it on the base without the top coming off.
Someone said you can ensamble the processor and turn it on for 5 seconds that will unblock the center metal poster and you'll be able to fit the top.

Re., Oster Pro 1200 Plus food processor: Can this be used to make small serving of hollendaise sauce via slowly adding melted butter, etc., while blending 2 or 3 egg yokes, for eggs benedict? And would the blender actually be the better of the two items for that - or the food processsor? Any tips or advice would be appreciated. Total newbie here, LOL :)

My oster food chopper is not working..why?
The food chopper is not a snug fit into the blender base. It wobbles when it gets up to speed. Is this right? It seems like a poor design.
