His weapon is not a must per the analysis I gave so feel free to use other 5 star weapons with double elemental damage bonus to make up for heavy atk dmg since they are additive. For his Sequences, Go for S1. The rest are Overkill. I also might have refered to him as a sub dps one time in the video so sorry for that😅. Hope this helps.
As a jiyan main, get his weapon. Just get his weapon. As a calamba laguna main, if you have lustrous razor or Waning redshift (black shore 4 star weapon), dont bother pulling for verdant summit (Even tho it looks cool). Pull for yinlin or you can wait for age of harvest rerun (jinhsi weapon).
Adding what I discussed with you before and a bit more for further clarification: 1) If you were like me in 1.0 and simply lib -> press attack 7 times for lolz, it is no surprise you would think his kit is a but boring (I did so too). However, that was not the case which people saying his damage still rivals Jinhsi. To make his number matches or even surpass Jinhsi in proper setup, check Senpai's own guide on how to animation cancel his Qingloong attacks. Instead of at most 7, you can almost dish out twice the amount of attacks. Yes, the very attack that did at least 120k each with minimum proper setup. Times that by at least 8. You get the picture. 2) Said animation cancel is also why S1 is good, contradict to my early belief, due to the fact that instead of you able to use it atmost 2 times per ultimate, now you can do it atmost 4 times. It enables you to instead of dodge cancel, you can use skill to cancel the Qingloong's animation. Why does it matter? Well, thia simple spear thrust hits hard, harder than you might expected. It has 424% multiplier at lvl10 already, which is around half the multiplier of liberations of many nuking 4 stars (Yangyang, Sanhua). Do that 2 more times per Qingloong rotation not only allows more Qingloong uses, but also add two 424% damage button more to him. That amount, with crit and elemental dmg bonus, is easily in the ten thousands territory, and adds up to his already insane overall damage. 3) Do mind the fact that his lib, skill, and many of his attacks are 1 small multiplier times 8 (or other number of hits). It does not mean several individual hits that calculate crits independently. Therefore, if one string of Qingloong doesn't crit, that entire string will have lower number. Although you don't need to prioritise crit rate as much as Jinhsi, at least 70% is still preferred to keep his damage consistent.
Oh, I forgot to add. You pull this banner for a chance at Jiyan, I pull for a chance to get at least S3 Youhu for my ultimate Yinlin/Rover team, and would be okay to also get S1 Jiyan. We are not the same 😂.

Unfortunately all the characters I've pulled so far I've only got them with the guaranteed pull, as I lost all my 50/50s. So after spending around 140 pulls to get Shorekeeper I'm very low on astrites now and saving up for Yinlin's signature weapon. But Jiyan could be really great for my account, I wish I could pull for him.

If you want to actually maximize Jiyan's damage, use his signature weapon with double aero 3 cost. his signature weapon is +10% stronger than jinhsi's which is just + 7% stronger than the standard lustrous razor. Going for an attack 3 cost over double aero leads to a 5% damage loss.

yes I went for s3 jiyan, no regrats so thats why my ER + Aero 3 cost isnt far off with 2x Aero 3 cost with his signature weapon, oh well, i dont do lots of maths on combat based games lol and yes my ER 3 cost has better substats
I was trying to build up pity for Yinlin weapon and get a copy of the Variation, and I ended up with no Variation and 2 copies of Jiyan's, waisting 60 pulls 😢 I don't even have Jiyan 😭

Senpai I have a question. I have Jiyan, chalcaro and jinshi all of them have decent build but I only have standard 5* broadblade so should I pull for jiya s signature or wait for jinhsi's rerun to make her even powerfull or just screw all of them and get camellya's weapon 😂
His weapon is only viable on character that have crit rate on their skill tree. That limits the potential character you can use with so go for Jinshi’s weapon as a safer option. Camellya’s weapon will be good for characters that scales of basic attack and yangyang and havoc rover are the only ones that come to mind. But if the substat is crit rate, you can go for it. Essentially what you’re trying to do is to get a weapon of each class that has at least crit rate substat for versatility and help make building characters easier
The standard weapon lustrous razor is pretty good too for Calculus and have similar performance with the limited one, sure you lost some crit and atribute dmg% but you get energy regen, a lot of atk% and some liberation dmg bonus, prydwen even have it as the best weapon for him.

Is there any actual proof of this or has anyone actually tried it out to see what the dmg difference is? If your double aero has good substats, you can use them. I’ll make a dedicated video soon showcasing the damage difference. But just know that running double Aero will lead to an overcap if you have a signature weapon. I’m trying to get good echo sets with identical substats to help prove it.

A skip for me. I'm fully f2p and I've got Jhinsi already. Jiyan's playstyle kinda feels similar to Jhinsi. So at the moment I'm eyeing Chameleon cos her playstyle is unique and seems kinda fun.
With proper 2 intro switch (1st from sup, and 2nd from Mortefi. While also using Felial echo during 1st switch), around 115-119 is the minimum. At 120-125 you have a smoother transition. Mine's at 119, so after switch in, I sometimes need to land from intro and attack 1 more second to get the energy, but you can also solve this by prolonging Mortefi shooting a little bit more. If your Jiyan has S1+, you are fine with 115-119, since you have double usage of skill Windqueller during liberation and normal combo. (This, in return, also means your Jiyan generates more concerto for outro, too)
More like: can you already beat the Overdrive Zone with custom conditions that are just for him If yes, don't waste resources on the first limited before 2.0's powercreep
