Thank you for including this interview!
A clip-on mic for interviewees would fix the volume problem.

I remember the frustration and disgust of being an overseas bystander, watching the news, and the inaction of the surrounding countries, the UN, and the world. The Hutus got away with it and think they’re “good Hutus,” what’s to stop it happening again. I’m glad Consolee is in the US and has written a book.

Consolee´s father said: ´´God is going to ask me what I have done to every child and person who came to me (as a school teacher) and not what people have done to me.´´ This was also the attitude in my family, and as a grandchild of people who were locked up in various concentration and Siberian labour camps I always cherished this attitude.

I feel so much sadness for this family and all others. It is so appealing how humans can change into monsters.

I felt so bad for my lovely young lady. She is such a brave and courageous woman. But Just to remind you that still these horrors happen all over the world and the UN and the world are just watching and always too late to make any actions. Like the situation of women in Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. The situation in Yaman is another example. An Holocaust survivor once said that there is a Hitler in all of us , and her story is a proof of that.

I haven't finished listening to this testimony, but there is so much horror and sadness. It is heart wrenching. This beautiful woman is so brave to share her story. I just can't imagine living through such horror. I pray she finds healing, peace and a happy future.

please save and treasure this wonderful necessary foundation. For the time being, and for a while now, please refrain from the old script making everyone spell and detail names and dates of family members. Things got weird again. ..internet happened..please censor out names and dates being the incredibly wonderful foundation that you are..we still need to hear every story possible but not by putting speakers in danger of internet bad people ♡

The interviewer is so annoying... She's so rude! These things are very difficult to talk about. This woman is a national treasure! Thank you for sharing such tragic and intimate information so that we can learn, so that we can honor those who died, and so that this may never ever happen again!

They took up their lives in the same area where their family members were murdered? They looked into the faces of people every day who refused to help them? Unthinkable, to me. How did they ever recover.

All genocide is senseless. God Bless all those souls who were murdered. May they skip any purgatory and go straight to the Holy Family. God Bless Consolee. May she have her own family.
