This was very helpful cause I suck at playing defense. They way you you explained hard flats, hooks routes was very helpful cause honestly I didn't know what that was. Now I know hook will cover the sidelines, underneath mans the middle of the field, base align that's still new to me, but just gotta practice in the lab an test this out now. Been playing a couple months, I think I'm just terrible tbh, I throw in different adjustments 24/7 and my Defense most of the time doesn't get stops, It's hard when everyone just switches formations all the time, I think i haven't been paying attention to what routes most likely come out of alot spot of formations on the given WR, Like posts etc. It's alot to take in, And cover especially when they run double drags, out routes and a inside slant all in one play Seriously this madden shit is hard asf.

My only problem is trying to adjust my coverage b4 the snap of tbe ball. How do you get into the right coverage in a timely manner ie.b4 the snap lol..
You just have to practice it. The more you play the faster you will get. You just gotta force yourself to do it every play until you get faster at it.

Hey eric. Could you do a video on the new degensive "hot routes/zones". In recent years every player had the same adjustment buttons: ex. left stick up for deep blue. Now some people go into seam flats. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say

Purple: X, right on the left stick
Light Blue: X, left on the left stick
You can't put safties in light blue zones, so you have to first put them in Purple, and press Triangle, down on the right stick to have them play underneath.

A lot of times I lab on game. It's the best way really. See what works vs real people in real time.

People were using this in NCAA 14, this is an old tactic,nothing new here...
He's not claiming it to be a new tactic. The fact is this year Man coverage is playing better than zone coverage for whatever reason. But it's still man coverage so it can get exploited. Seems weird for a new madden to come out and zones play worse, but maybe there will be a tuning update to change it.
