One more thing. I ran across your channel searching for sertraline and anxiety, but you have a really cool channel with your other videos as well. Thanks again for your candor in sharing your personal anxiety story and helping bring awareness to the topic of anxiety. All the best!
It’s nice to hear a success story. 😊 I really appreciate your encouragement. There are too many negative videos about anti depressants & that’s what scares people. Also Sertraline is for depression too. It’s usually at higher doses. I was prescribed it for depression but haven’t taken them yet because of fear. I’m going to start tomorrow & hope for a good outcome.
I took it for 9 days and had to stop because of the nausea. Even at 25 mg it made me very sick. It’s a shame but I’m glad I tried because you never know until you do. My advice to all is still to try it. Thanks for checking!😁
@@realgirl2704 How are you now? Ther ultimate goal of those taking any ADS should be to reduce to only 1 tablet of the lowest mg per day to prevent side effects. To feel better reduce negative thoughts and overthinking. Avoid comparing with others, reduce negative social media and avoid constipation as it affects the mind instantly. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress-anxiety. To relax sit on a chair or lie down, neck straight, eyes closed and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. Never meditate with expectations but with awareness. Don’t fight your thoughts. With daily practice the mind will relax. No deep breathing needed. Observe your breath sensations before sleep, in college, at work, taking a walk, when reading, etc.etc. Like me, make this a lifetime daily habit to have a better life. Best wishes--Counsellor.
@@realgirl2704 thanks for the advice I might try it out , I’m praying I don’t have any bad side effects tho .. hoping you figure something that works for you :)
You just had to push through. So many people quit because of the initial side effects. But they don't last longer than a month. Hope you are doing better though @@realgirl2704
The problem comes when u try to stop, withdrawals with tough anxiety/depressive thoughts that they don’t tell you about when you start. Still I find myself taking this at the moment willing to try to live for awhile and I’ll pay with a week or so later. Right now the sexual side effect of not being able to finish makes me wonder if I can even makes this trade , Im not sure if girls get the same side effect but it’s almost a deal breaker for me right now

Hi, have you done a video on your first few weeks of side effects? Just wondering if you had any. I am into my second week and my anxiety is still pretty high and I am so jittery!! Like, I can't stay still or focus.
So glad it helped you out! I’m about to start myself due to ocd and severe anxiety which I have suffered with for 9 years 🥲 is it ok to drink tea , coffee or any other drink which contains caffeine during the day if you are taking Zoloft or will it cancel it’s effects ?

Why do you keep saying it’s not for depression. Who told you that? lol.. It’s for depression, social anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and also has many off label uses.
Yeah. Mostly depression. Also social anxiety. But generalised anxiety is just off label for it. Mealwhile it sounds like she mainly has generalised anxiety

It is made for depression, but you will usually need a higher dose like 50- 200mg.
true it can be used for depression but for me it's more for anxiety :)

I’ve heard that happen with men but for me I didn’t have that problem. Definitely talk to your doctor and see what they say
Thanks for sharing your story! I've been on it for 3 years and it has helped me so much with anxiety.
That’s great! And yes it helps soooo much. I am grateful that I went on the medication when I did :)
Thank you that was really helpful and encouraging ☀️
Please do you sweat a lot 😢
I have been on sertraline since January 2021 and I still get dizziness with them

hey are u still on meds? How is it going now?
Sertraline was actually intended for depression, but it helps with anxiety as well.
The more the better lol

Did you have start up increased anxiety when first starting Zoloft?
Good question. I found that I did not but at times my heartrate would increase as if I was going to have a panic attack but then did not.
Zoloft was the most commonly prescribed antidepressant in the USA in 2018 with over 38 million prescriptions.
