      @@AarjavDuapeople shouldn't get offended if you're not offending and also it's a choice to be offended. The only thing that erks me are the people who are often criticizing others but can't handle it back themselves..

      @@Jon-ly6xe You should meet more people, and know that not all people react the same. It depends on their level of self esteem. You can not say anything to them and they still can get offended. It's not they who are in control, it's their past trauma which they are ignorant of. And it's not your responsibility to make them know that and help them, until and unless it's someone you really care about.

    I like to dress slightly crazy and go into public places like Walmart. It helps expand my comfort zone. I've dressed like a Disco astronaut and gone to bars alone on new Year's and had a blast with strangers. Started as a timid boy 42 years ago.

    i remember this one time i felt like no matter what i did, people just didn’t notice me. i tried everything-confidence boosters, social tips, you name it-but nothing seemed to work. then i found this book, Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki, and it completely shifted how i saw myself. it’s not just about being noticed; it’s about understanding the energy you project. honestly, this book made all the difference for me. if you’ve ever felt invisible, you need to read it.

    Even just the free content that you and Owen have been putting out since the RSD days has changed my life. I think I might have some sort of undiagnosed autism and grew up always feeling like an alien. Talking was my worst nightmare and it ate me alive daily. It took some time, but I started applying a lot of the things you guys taught and eventually got to where I felt above average at communication.
    Now, I will say that supplementing certain key things helped on a biochemical level in addition, but I can say confidently that you guys helped heal my social “disease”.
    Thank you, brother.
    God bless you 🙏

    I have this really loud, obnoxious side to me as well as a super quiet, reserved, anxious version. The louder, more out-there version feels most authentic but being in public settings pushes me towards the ultra-shy version. I wish this weren’t the case.

    • @tristenn292

      this was my exact issue for a long time. What really helped me was juliens videos on authenticity vs relatability. combining that with reading the room and im much more calm. A lot of my excessive talking was trying to entertain others, fitting in, or simply feeling like i need to. but alternatively, i found i don’t really like being the entertainer type but i also like being me. So i made the choice to simply be me while not feeling pressured to talk, whether thats by myself, my feelings or by other people.

    What's weird for me is that I'm not super shy or anything, but I put IMMENSE pressure on myself to be entertaining, cool, and engaging in conversations. I constantly worry that i'll run out of things to say. Otherwise people won't like me. I'm actually outgoing partially because I want people to like me, because a shy person isn't as likeable. This makes me wonder what I would look like without the mask.

    When i'm in school i get really anxious there. I would even say it's the most hardest for me to act obnoxious or just happy or sad in class. Thinking about acting anything that isnt shy makes it look like i'm "weird" that i look "weird" and people will be like oohh whats merita doingg, but geez, i've always been shy in elementarly school, so its now an issue to not be that all of sudden. Biggest takeaway everything you say Julien

    i also have this problem of getting social validation. Suppose if i approached a girl and then i didnt get the response that pleases my ego what i do was try to talk about my past encounters like ohh well it doesnt matter bcoz many beautiful girls than her got attracted to me and gave me eye contacts, ohh my ex was way prettier than her. That kind of things i said to myself and trust me its hard to live like this.

I have always been childlike, not childish, just to make the definition, and always engaged with imagination. Going by personality typology i am an infp and coupled with ways to understand emotions better has helped me understand me better, as i am an emotional person. 😊

    Final thing I'm curious about.
    Say I want to speak to someone but they're late for their train. How do I not attach my self worth to someone saying no, even if it's a legit reason.
    Sometimes I see that they're busy and I hate myself.

    • @aCarolinaGal
      @aCarolinaGal วันที่ผ่านมา

      You - imperfections and all! - have self worth simply because you exist, not because of anything you've done or not done, and definitely not because of what someone else does or doesn't do or does or doesn't want. Not every thing is for every one at all times. Always be yourself and those who are meant to be in your life (whether in a big or small way or short or long term) *will* find you ... and the greater your self perception/worth is, the greater theirs will be of you. Much Love, my friend 🙏🏻💕

    Hey Julien, good evening, why my anxiety only comes when I know the person and not in strangers? Like when I have a new costumer, I don't stifle and having a great conversation but when they come back again and they seek me to fix their car, (I'm a fresh graduate mechanic) then I'll get anxious and can't perform flawlessly and then they'll never talk to me because I know they sense that I'm anxious.

    • @LetishaMalakootiTV
      @LetishaMalakootiTV 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      Perhaps because you care what people around you think, those who are closer to you rather than strangers.
      Or Perhaps this is when the need
      For intimacy kicks in, and that’s when you get anxiety, because you need to be one on one with these individuals and be more bare.

    Take a hard look at who you enjoy spending time with. Some people you WILL put on a mask for, even if you feel kinda comfortable around them. But around whom in your life do you completely let your guard down? For me it's my sister and brother-in-law. Best people ever, why? Because my sister told me that my brother-in-law really enjoyed spending time with me because I'm just being silly around them. Just being care free and that I speak my mind, even if I sound rude or inconsiderate, they know me well enough to not take it personally.
    So think about who in your life you feel most comfortable in your skin when you're around them. People you don't mind saying no to, if you don't want to hang out. And the people you can just be your silly, goofy SELF. Now remember that person, embody that person, BELIEVE that is the only version of you that TRULY exists.
    You have just forgotten that person, but he/she is in there somewhere. Just bring that person out into the light
