I know this isn’t related to the video but could you do either a ballet vocabulary video or another beginners class? I love your videos! They help me a lot. Thanks!
My granddaughters love your videos and I'm trying to be a supportive poppa by watching along with them . That said, I hope you're alright and Eric is alright. Please take care of yourself and let us know how you're doing. Prayers for you.
I used to do figure skating as a child and through my teens, and I did a little bit of ballet alongside it for technique. When I went to college, life got a little too busy and I quit both. Now it's been years and years and I miss it, and I decided I wanted to start up again. Your videos have been AMAZING for me, they are so easy to follow and you are really good at explaining and demonstrating the exercises! I also love the music...thank you SO MUCH Kathryn for your incredible videos. You are a very inspiring person and thank you so much for sharing all of your stories, experiences, tips, techniques, classes, and music. And most importantly thank you for helping me build the confidence to start dancing again!!!
I admire all of your hard work: your extraordinary experience as a dancer, the content you have created, managing to juggle so many aspects of life so well and according to your design, and how far your channel has come! I do ballet and rhythmic gymnastics, run two businesses, and I still cannot manage enough time to prep my own food let alone shoot any photos or videos to share. I always eat out even at farmer’s markets and watch other ppl’s channels. As long as I’m making progress with my priorities, I can live with it (although it annoys ppl who want to see what I’m up to). Well done!
Kathryn, nice video as always. I noticed how beautiful you look on here, so elegant and feminine (as usual, though). Even though I'm not a dancer I always wanted to do ballet but I never had any opportunity. With your videos you're inspiring this 23 year old to dance around the house and enjoying herself. I might never go on pointe, but I'm surely enjoying practicing with you in my free time, just for me. I just wanted to reach out and express my gratefulness, so keep up the good work and a lovely spirit you have ;)
Me too. I recently started following ballet and I'm 43. It's faaaar too late for me, but I love her videos. She's so sweet, kind and inspiring for me in life stuff, not just ballet. I also enjoy watching ballet in the theater and here on TH-cam. She helps me understand what's going on.
I cant believe that I got on pointe last week! The reason I got on pointe was becuase of the tips and tricks that Kathryn Morgan posted. Thank you for letting my dreams come true.
Kathryn, this is such a perfect tutorial for Mene'ges. Answered to many questions. You really took the stress out of doing Mene'ges. You are so kind and comforting with your instructions. Thank you.
Another tip I thought about when you mentioned thinking about a square instead of a circle is to divide the number of pique turns or whatever steps you are doing into 4. So like if you have 32 (random number) pique turns to do in 2 rounds, that means 16 piques per round, or 4 piques per side. Then you can say it out in your head “front 1,2; side 1,2,3,4; back 1,2,3,4; side 1,2,3,4; front 1,2” and so on. Might not work as well with a grand allegro manege but it could probably still be sort of divided up similarly
Katie could you please make a video about how to get on pointe faster or a once upon a pointe about your first time getting pointe shoes. I love your videos and have been trying to earn pointe shoes since the first ballet class I walked into.
This is so cool! I love that you are showing us what people usually do wrong. In this way we can learn how we should use the technique! It's very visual although you talk through this subject and give us great tips! Thank you!
hi Kathryn!! I was at your pointe shoe fitting after Emma today. I had such an awesome time. I am so happy I got to meet you! thank you so so much. my teacher loves my new shoes and so do I.
Love these! I would love a more in depth video specifically for grand allegro like indeed coupé jeté's en tournant, because with these I find it really difficult to keep thinking in lines as you come out of a turning jump and then the corners seem very sharp. Thank you for the tips! ❤
Im unable to take ballet classes at the moment which devastated me because I LOVE ballet. Ive been teaching myself as much as I can (not pointe work of course). Your videos have helped me so much and give me more hope that one day maybe i will dance on a stage ! Thank you ~ Syriah ♡
I love your videos...ssss.I have learnt so much from you. I like the Adagio video very much too. Extremely useful tips. Thank u so so much. You are beautiful too. Xx
I’m so excited to be going on pointe in a few months! Trying to strengthen my feet soooo much. Could you do a ballet shoe collection video? Me and my friends would love to see one!!!
Great video, super helpful! Can you maybe do a video on tips for grande allegro, I’ve been struggling with that since I had a knee injury and want to improve. Possible thanks in advance!
I'm starting ballet next week and making my dream come true after a very very long time almost 4 years of trying to convince my parents , I couldn't be happier
You are getting prettier prettier. Your figure is amazing! That means your health is good, and you are in good shape. I hope so! Great to see that! You give me a lot of strength that you can do what you want and be positive even in hard times! Thanks!
I should probably more present in all things cause in choreographed dances I am always thinking of what comes next it helps me in the long run cause I know what is next and I have time to thunk about it but when you are on stage there are so many thngs running through your mind
I do have problems in manege things to have a tendency to spot all over the place and get dizzy but the square trick really helps! p.s. could you do a video on either arabesque on pointe or fouette (not the turn but just the plain ones)
Hello Katie, lovely video as usual omggg I have a request for a future video though~ Could you please do a video on tips for how to improve the split that's commonly seen in the first act of Kitri? I don't know what it's called and I can't find any videos of it... Someone told me it was a pose temps leve in arabesque but I'm not so sure. Thank you!!
I'm not sure if this helps, but when I come to the part of the circle/square that I need to be changing at, I make sure that my first step (usually posé turns) goes a bit more diagonally. That way I have one turn to kind of start to move my spot. I usually need to push that turn a slight bit more, but for me it was really just a lot of practice!
Do you have any tips on assemble? I watched your glissade video and it was very helpful! But I'm trying to figure out the difference between glissade and assembly and how it to assemble properly. Since I've enrolled in an adult ballet class, I find myself struggling to get the footing and posture correct since the teacher does not make a lot of corrections in class. Anywho, I love all of your videos!
Hi Katie! You look beautiful in this video. I have always wanted to be able to jump and turn like male ballet dancers. Do you have any conditioning tips or tricks to get more strength in turns and air time in leaps and jumps? Thanks!
Could you do a video on free enchainment (my keyboard has no accents and stuff) it's basically a set of linking steps that you learn in an exam for vocational grades and I was wondering if you had tips for getting technique in even when you're thinking about what comes next
Hi Kathy. Was wondering if you are doing any classes online. In fairness I haven’t really checked. But was wondering if you still have a bit of time for those. Tx for all the videos. Great work as usual.
This is so helpful! Im doing Aurora variation from act 2 and Im having so much trouble saying on my feet during the manege before the ending. I always tend to fall behind when I try to change spots and my hands just get really messes. Any tips? xx
Do you have any advice for getting a deeper plie? I have been struggling with it and my teachers are asking me to go deeper in plies, and I don't know how.
Hey Katie, I recently got pointe shoes and they were fine in the store but now I put them on at home/class and the vamp is digging just above my toes and I feel they're too narrow, the shank twists a bit now I look at it. got any advice on what to do because I really can't afford new ones and you cant return them (duh).
Hi Katie. I have a video request. I have recently got take in to a professional company. I’m doing a lot of corps de ballet rehearsals and it is really hard for me to keep myself motivated for each rehearsal. I’m always dancing back of lines and i feel like I’m just doing steps and just try to stay in line... Do you have any tips how to motivate your self as a corps de ballet dancer? If You do,please make a video about it. I’m really interested to hear something like that from you.
I know I am not Katie but....remember you are doing what everyone dreams of doing being a professional! also you can't just start in a company as a soloist or a principal you have to work your way up and work hard any and all soloist/principals started out in the corp if you work hard you can make it! I hoped this helped continue working and you'll be amazing
Dance Girl thank you for your very kind comment. It means a lot to me. I know I’m not the only one going through this. It’s so nice to hear from other people what they feel about being corps dancer.
Jade Envy a teacher of mine always said “you cant go lower than the floor” and that surprisingly helped me? lol anyways, for me it was reorganizing my mindset that if I went up, I’d go down and hurt myself. hope my own experience helps
Can you make a video of how to get flexible quicker for ballet for beginners? I used to do gymnastics and I wanna get back my flexibility to start ballet ! I can stand on pointe and everything I just need my flexibility back ;(
Does anyone have any tips? In my pointe shoes, for certain things like pique turns and pirouettes from fourth, I literally cannot get on the box. I do LOTS of foot strengthening/stretching exercises at home but it hasn't gotten better, at all. I know I definitely do not have archy feet, but they aren't flat either so I should at least be able to get on the box whether it looks good or not. I wear Grishkos, do I just need new shoes? It really makes me upset because all the girls in my class have good feet and it looks good en pointe but mine look gross. Another thing, is that I feel like I can get on my box if I do it slower, but in class we always do things fast, and I want to be on the music.
I know this is really basic, but could you do a video about passe in general. Posture - How to hold it on point and even on half point. And I know you've already done videos about turns. My Problem isn't that I'm not getting around, basically I could bring up my leg/feet in the right posture that fast and i really have a problem to find it. I hope you understand what I mean, and my English isn't too bad.

Campbell Piette yes! I totally agree
Campbell Piette yes! I totally agree
Yes! Please ☺️
Campbell Piette I was thinking the same thing!
What a gifted teacher and communicator you are. Nothing like learning from someone who knows exactly what they are talking about.
My granddaughters love your videos and I'm trying to be a supportive poppa by watching along with them . That said, I hope you're alright and Eric is alright. Please take care of yourself and let us know how you're doing. Prayers for you.

I love how well you break things down and make it much more simpler. I think we all tend to complicate things, so this is really helpful!
Kathryn, this is such a perfect tutorial for Mene'ges. Answered to many questions. You really took the stress out of doing Mene'ges. You are so kind and comforting with your instructions. Thank you.
Right as I'm heading out for my first ballet class at my dream school! Thank you so much!

That's a great suggestion for #onceuponapointe ! Love the idea.
This is a great lesson for pre-pointe ballet. Thank you.
This is good advice for dancers that have a difficulty with space awareness. This really helps to see the spacing in a better way. Very good!
Can you please do a video on cabrioles (both front and back)?
This is so cool! I love that you are showing us what people usually do wrong. In this way we can learn how we should use the technique! It's very visual although you talk through this subject and give us great tips! Thank you!
Saving this to show to my students who are struggling. :)
Please do a video on the best daily exercises to do!
I am going on pointe next week so happy
Yay! Congratulations!
Congrats! my only tip is to not get ahead of yourself and trust when you are ready/not ready to do something trust is a big part:)
Get some toe tape handy so that you are ready to tape those problem toes before they get too sore! Enjoy it :)
Yay for you!
The Three Slime Unicorns wow! Mazal Tov!!

hi Kathryn!! I was at your pointe shoe fitting after Emma today. I had such an awesome time. I am so happy I got to meet you! thank you so so much. my teacher loves my new shoes and so do I.
Thinking of traveling in a square instead of a circle blew my mind! This was extremely helpful. Thank you!
This is my favorite step of ballet. I don't know if I mentioned it before but are there tips for how to properly bow and waltz in ballet?
Love these! I would love a more in depth video specifically for grand allegro like indeed coupé jeté's en tournant, because with these I find it really difficult to keep thinking in lines as you come out of a turning jump and then the corners seem very sharp. Thank you for the tips! ❤
Finally i found a manege video! 😭😍 I think its the only one on yt! 💛💛
Love this!! Could you do a video on double piques and double lame ducs? (I'm sure I spelled that wrong!!)
Im unable to take ballet classes at the moment which devastated me because I LOVE ballet. Ive been teaching myself as much as I can (not pointe work of course). Your videos have helped me so much and give me more hope that one day maybe i will dance on a stage ! Thank you ~ Syriah ♡

This is so fitting! We are going to work intensely on the manege in Coppelia Swanilda variation next week, which I'm really excited for!

Hi Kathryn, and a lovely video as usual. You promised us full Balanchine class :P. Are you still planning on doing it? it will be great if you do.
This is so helpful! Im doing Aurora variation from act 2 and Im having so much trouble saying on my feet during the manege before the ending. I always tend to fall behind when I try to change spots and my hands just get really messes. Any tips? xx

Hi Katie.
I have a video request.
I have recently got take in to a professional company. I’m doing a lot of corps de ballet rehearsals and it is really hard for me to keep myself motivated for each rehearsal. Can you teach the aurora act 3 variation?
I am a beginner at ballet but i know the basics. i want to be able do leaps but its like im scared to hit the ground. How do i get over this fear?😣
Jade Envy a teacher of mine always said “you cant go lower than the floor” and that surprisingly helped me? lol anyways, for me it was reorganizing my mindset that if I went up, I’d go down and hurt myself. hope my own experience helps

Please do a video helping with Bournoville sheates.
Another thing, is that I feel like I can get on my box if I do it slower, but in class we always do things fast, and I want to be on the music.
Please do more manege tutorial ❤
I know this is really basic, but could you do a video about passe in general. Posture - How to hold it on point and even on half point. And I know you've already done videos about turns. My Problem isn't that I'm not getting around, basically I could bring up my leg/feet in the right posture that fast and i really have a problem to find it. I hope you understand what I mean, and my English isn't too bad.
Excellent audio!
Always beautiful. 💗
Ik this really has nothing to do with this video but I thought it would be easier to see if it was on ur latest video, but I was wondering for Summer courses, are they all on pointe for 13 year olds? Also, getting into a summer course, does that mean that u have a chance to get into the school? Luv ur videos btw xxx
