Excellent wine recommendations, John. I love that you picked wines from different world regions. Chappellet produces outstanding wines, and I recognize some of the stunning views! Looks like you had a magnificent experience in Tuscany. I’m definitely saving this video for future reference. By the way, I follow you from two different accounts. Thank you for your dedication to the wine community! Cheers!
Excellent video as always John. I am enjoying this series of videos of favourite wines in different price points. For $75 I find very difficult to find great Napa cabs as they usually start at $100 and to be honest the real deal starts at $150+. Some of my fav $75 wines are : Duo De Conseillante 2016, Chateau Le Prieuré, La Pelle Napa cab, Prado Enea, among a few others. Keep up the good work !!!
Yes, that is true but I think this Chappellet is very solid at that price! Thanks very much for these worthy additions! I agree with those wines as well. Glad that you enjoy the series! Cheers!
Thanks for this video, John! I've had the 2009 Saint Joseph from E. Guigal and enjoyed it with a lamb shank. All great suggestions. Definitely will try those wines. I greatly appreciate your expertise, John! Cheers!
Any other vintages you would single out? My favourite so far has been the 2008 and least favourite, but still good was 2011. Have some 2014 and 2019 but not tried any of them yet.
puy lacoste got so much better the recent years, few bottles bought from 2020 and 19, tastet de 1982 4 years ago and that was fantastic!, hope they can keep the level they are, love paulliac. greetings from the netherlands
John, have you tried Long Shadows Feather yet? It is a Washington State Cab made by Randy Dunn and retails for around $70. I would love your thoughts on this wine since you've highlighted Dunn Vineyards Napa and Howell several times. Thanks and cheers!
Hi David: I visited Long Shadows about 10-11 years ago and tried it then. I should probably revisit it again before providing any specific thoughts, but do recall that I enjoyed both that wine and the Syrah during my visit.
Thanks very much! I try to both include the written name and show a picture when I have one. I don’t have pics for all of them and Dm worried about copyright claims if I use pics from others. Very glad you enjoy the videos! Cheers! 👍🍷
Another brilliant video, Attorney Somme. First time I watched your video, I subbed immediately. I don’t to understand why people don’t hit that button. There is so much to learn here. Only wish I could sub twice. By the way, is that the OWC of Convento Seleccion Toro Albala, Pedro Ximenez, 1946?
Thanks very much! Truly appreciate the support! Good catch! Yes, that is a bottle I received as a birthday gift last year. I opened it recently and have been enjoying it. A special wine! Cheers!
@@andyw5906 Got it. I ran searches on line. Many of them I found at wine dot com or Total Wine. The Sancerre was available at my local wine club (Roots & Water) and I saw that one online as well. I try to pick wines with widespread distribution, so most of these should be readily available. Cheers!
Love the content! One tip coming from an editor. Leave the transitions between shots out of it, they are very distracting. A jump cut is in my opinion better! If you use two cameras from different angles, you don’t have that problem at all because you can cut between the two which looks very natural. If that is not an option, just jump cut! Keep up the good work
Thanks so much! The editing has been my biggest challenge. I’ll look into jump cuts. I have another couple in the queue with the transitions so please don’t think I’m disregarding if the next few still have transitions. Greatly appreciate it! Cheers!
@@VoltronSupremeCrypto I enjoy them but have some friends who don’t like them. And there are lots of wines I enjoy as much or more than Amarone. People’s taste varies. Nothing wrong with that in my view.

Great recs as usual. I’m searching now for the Château La Gaff. Interested in the ‘18. Keep up the good work!
Excellent! Thank you. I’m working on a video just for Bordeaux at $50 or less now. Should be out soon!

Great post John. Chappellet is a favorite for me in the list. Quite a credible list you got there. Cheers!🍷🍷
Thanks very much! Yes, the Chappellet is terrific! Cheers my friend!
Grand Puy Lacoste was the wine that gave me the Bordeaux bug. Fantastic stuff!
Completely agree with you! Such a fantastic producer! Cheers!

Great video! I bought a case of the '16 Chappellet Signature because it's such a great vintage 🙂
Thank you! A brilliant purchase! Cheers! 👍🍷

Thanks John, Great video and recommendations as always! I am familiar with a few, but picked up some great tips as well. Cheers 🍷🤩

Sir, it will help a lot if you show a picture of the bottle right after you mention it.
Keep it up! Subscribed

@@AttorneySomm Well done. Nice birthday present.
good stuff! would be great to have a full list in a description though…
Thanks very much for watching and the feedback. Greatly appreciated. 👍🍷
when you make these videos do you list them in descending order ranking?
No, they are not necessarily ranked. In fact I often save really good stuff for then end.
Can you please comment on where you collect wines?
Hi Andy: Just to clarify, do you mean where do I store my wine or where am I located geographically? Many thanks.
@@AttorneySomm thanks for reply. Just wonder if where you found all the wines. Just local store or there is online market you shop. Thx!

What do you think about caymus? It's 78$ from total wine.
It’s a little sweet for my taste, but that’s a great price. If you enjoy it that is a terrific buy.
Very nice pic super congratulations ❤🎉⭐✨ gift 🎁🧧
Thank you! Very much appreciated!
If your going to spend oved 50 dollars just go Amarone.
Lots of excellent Amarone for sure. But not everyone likes it.
@@AttorneySomm Bite your tongue, an Amarone is better than any Cheval Blanc or Mutton Rothschild ever made.
