3:38 Maybe the DE wouldn't've come way upfield if he hadn't seen the OG coming at him! I know, he was probably coached to box, but he might've slanted more inside if he didn't see the guard coming.
I have your book and cards and would like to get anything more recent than 2015 that you have. I ran the Evashevski version of the Wing T (two TE) in high school in 1958. Nice work!
Thank you Richard! Anything more recent is on my web site. As I'm not coaching these days there haven't been as many updates. Feel free to email me if any specific questions come up.
Coach what is your installation period throughout the summer if your state does that? Week 1: Buckseries: Trap, Sweep, Counter, & waggle Week 2: Jet series: sweep, Trap, XX, and boot Week 3: Belly and down series? You do anything like that that’d you share?
That's a good plan. I have some articles about this: wingt-coach.com/installing-the-wing-t-week-1/ wingt-coach.com/start-with-the-belly-series/ Summary of my practice planning articles: wingt-coach.com/blog/#practice-planning
Buck series can be tough to do well. Trap and Sweep require strong guard play, and consistent and precise backfield footwork. Don't move on until you've mastered it. Might take two weeks.
The rules work against any front, and the examples I give in the books focus on a generic odd front (3-5-3 / 3-3 stack etc.) and a four man even front. I know first hand that adjustments are required depending on specifics of what you are facing, but even a 5-3-2-1 can look different depending on the defensive specifics, personnel, etc.

great video coach. i look forward to diving into your material a ton in September. Keep up the good work!!
Thanks and have a great season!
I would also like to see your blocking schemes against a true 5-3-2-1.

Against those (unsound) defensive alignments I see in the videos a 5 year old team could run down with success.
In what world would the Strong Side DE play an 6i technique?
What world? Youth football world!
