- The Indiana Pacers wins their third game in a row as they defeat the New York Knicks, 140-126, and improve to 17-14. Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with 22 points and a career-high 23 assists. The 23 assists tie the most in a game in franchise history (Jamaal Tinsley, 11.22.01 v WAS). The Knicks move to 17-15.
Tyrese Haliburton becomes the third player in NBA history to record back-to-back 20-point and 20-assist games, joining:
John Stockton: Mar. 1, 1990 - Mar. 3, 1990
Magic Johnson: Dec. 18, 1984 - Dec. 19, 1984
Haliburton has the most assists and least turnovers of the three in the two-game span:
Johnson: 40 assists and 8 turnovers
Stockton: 41 assists and 6 turnovers
Haliburton: 43 assists and 2 turnovers
Tyrese Haliburton now has two 20-assist games for the Pacers, which is the most in franchise history.
Haliburton joins Russell Westbrook as the only active players to have multiple 20-point and 20-assist games.

Averaging 24, 4 and 12, 50% from the field, 42% from deep on 8 over attempts per game AND leading one of the best if not the best offense in the league... Tyrese is currently having one of the truly all time great seasons for a point guard.
@TheWiIIiamAftonSteph +CP3 combination but at 6'5. Give him a couple of all star teammates and Pacers should go deep in the playoffs.
Yeah that is crazy, what a player
Also very few TOs

13 assists to 3 point shoots 🤣🤣 you can have TO when all you do is pass the ball to someone next to you..
IF you got there in the NBA and make 20 passes to a guy who shoot from half court and makes everything your assist dont mean that you are a good passer but they guy that you are passing is a good shooter.
Bro you such a hater like it doesn’t matter , the right pass is the right pass , pacers are an amazing 3 point shooting team stop hating so much

Two consecutive 20-20 games is insane. I don't know the official stats but I can't imagine many players have ever pulled this off

Those jerseys, that court. So dope.
Love this new era of point guards. The kyrie and steph play style was great but it’s coming to an end. Guards like tyrece, luka, trae, sga, can score and pass at elite levels they are not limited to just scoring.
Agreed. The league is loaded at every position
SGA is not an elite passer lol like those other three lol
@@bsmoove2357 true but he is a better playmaker than kyrie, curry, lillard, kemba, d rose…. U see where I’m going with this?
It looks like a video game when this guy plays a game 😂😂😂. Seriously, it's just unbelievable. One of the best Point Guard of this generation is borning in front of us.
Bro had more assists than points with 22 points. I've seen enough Tyrese is the new age point gawd
I've seen him play once and that was against Memphis and I wasn't impressed but every time I look at this dude stats he's balling out of control 😳😳
This dude @ 3:53💯💯💯💯 I’m a soccer fan and the amount of times I’ve seen Messi dribble past 3-4 guys and not even look like he’s trying JUST like this! Not full speed no flashy tricks. Just dropping his shoulder, shifting his body weight and watching when his defenders are doing the same. It’s really great to watch.
I wouldn't be surprised if Haliburton ended up breaking the all time assist record held by Scott Skiles. (30)
Hes the best pg in the league. Makes his teammates better.

He gonna break the record soon. 30 assists is the record by Scott Skiles 1990 ( funny enough same day as today. December 30th)
Nah 😅 that game was pure luck, no offense to stiles, the leagues too good to let that happen again 😭🥹, but hopefully he'll get higher
@@BigBlackCantonese the pacers are at #1 averaging the highest points per game this year at 126ppg, and also #1 in both assists and field goal percentage in the league. The sheer point differential in the modern nba is way higher than any era. (More points = more assists) And the pacers are #1 in this era , they can totally break the record (not even considering if the game goes to overtime or 2ot)
^ addition to that , Halliburton (who’s #1 in assists this year) had 20 assists LITERALLY the last game before this… so it’s not “pure luck” like u said. I’m no where near a pacers fan at all, but u sound ignorant. Numbers don’t lie
@@TuchNGoh I was talking about skiles assist game, I literally said no offense to skiles smh
@@TuchNGoh point differential is mostly because of increased threes and easier fouling, neither which add to assists compared to the previous NBA. For example, 4 threes = 12 points vs 4 twos= 8 points but it's still 4 assists

My favorite Pacer court design of all time. Pacers cook with this hardwood.
all these possessions and they didnt learn that double teaming Haliburton doesnt work
They didn't get the memo he figured that shit out 3 games ago 😂
I can say he is modernized version of CP3 in this era
Reminds me of j kidd and magic. He makes the game look so fun and easy.
that's art
More assist than pts is crazy
Dude is an absolute bonafide Point God
Best Pure PG in the game and its not even close......
To think all the experts had the knicks picking Haliburton in the 2020 draft but they picked Toppin instead😂😂
Why are there more women refereeing, analyzing & sideline reporting NBA games compared to WNBA games? NBA "binder full of women" is needed at the WNBA, which needs all the help they can get.
3:22 great basketball right here.
Hali doing that thing all of us did playing MyPlayer in 2K games trying to break that 30 assists single game record.

These are people who have built up a pretty strong brotherhood. Which is why they're so connected on the floor. They are breaking all kinds of NBA records with the roster they have now. They have the exact same record as the Suns. A slapped together superteam. They fucked their team up making moves like you're suggesting
He's going to break the 30 assists in a game record it's just a matter of time
First time I've seen the threat of a pass cause defense to hesitate
Tyrese is what lonzo was supposed to be
Zo got hurt and he changed his shot COMPLETELY for the better before the injury. Plus he was a good defender so that’s kinda unfair to say.
Yea Zo naturally a better defender, I think Hali will get better at defending but obviously won’t be an elite defender
Haliburton M,V,P, he dishes out crackerjacks ,peanuts and sprinkle doughnuts Go PACERS, ,love this team,
It’s sad no one’s talking about this main stream wise 😔 this is so impressive
The OG Point Guard
back to back 20 assists, back to back career highs, tied franchise record. He only played half the 4th, he probably could have gotten 25-30 assists, i was watching the game.
He was the reason for 75pts this night
The boy is Mark Jackson and Reggie Miller as one freaking player man!!!!!!
He's gonna break the single game assist record one day. The record is 30 assists by Scott Skiles like 30+ years ago. I truly believe he's gonna break it and maybe this year. He's the new and true point god
This year lol it’s basically over
JAYLEN BROWN LEFT THE GROUP
The fact he has more assist than players are getting points consistently while still scoring more than then in points is crazy 😂
3:35 tough 🔥
ladies and gentlemen we finally found the new *POINT GOD*
One day, his teammates will shoot well enough, he'll play long enough, and, that day, this fella will hit 100 assists in a single game.
Not happening unless in OT 100 assists is crazy if what you said happens probably gonna be around 50 max
2:46 am I the only one shocked his step back fadeaway is a regular looking shot?
he shoots normal at midrange
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like this in 32. This generation is insane
No hate but his team just shoots very well and very much😊

The real NBA is faster than the gameplay in NBA 2k24 😂 we running in mud out here on this game
NBA RIGGING assits..NBA really trying to INFLATE stats for this generation...you got 2 assists here to players outside the 3 point line who didnt even show that they were shooting and dribbled the ball from the 3 point line to the rim and still got an assist.
13 assists to 3 point shoots
The Showtime Pacers
maybe this is what philly expected from MWC?

He's not overrated in 2k24 anymore I should say.
He's so dynamic and runs like a gazelle.
This man gonna break the assist record😮
got here coz i want to see how good is Tyrese as a member of team USA for the Paris Olympics!
what's w/ pacers turning around like this. amazing.
Love his passing game. But hey, why does Hield's bucket at end of 2nd quarter counts as an assist? Dude dribble twice before making the shot, how does that translate into an assist? (I really have a problem with how NBA records assist)
Now that's playmaking not what L-uka does aka give the ball when stucked after a long period of dribble dribble to a guy in the corner. Pace IS important
Guy goes 20+/23 to cap off the 2023 season. Dude is just something else. Man 🤦🏾♂️
His passing is not flashy but very effective like john stockton
Back to back 20 assists lol
But Celtics fans think Derrick White is an all star lo gimme a break
Dam the pacers was losing and he said nope he did it to the bulls and someone got mad me for calling him the next steph curry
We finished have someone that can get John Stockton numbers
I like hali, but some of these assists are questionable haha i feel like who ever tallies the score card has to be a pacers fan
I honestly can see him breaking scott skilies 30 assist record one day.
Back to back 20 assists for the “wannabe all star” 💀
Get some 3 and D wings and they're good.
Are you seriously telling me the play at 2:17 is an assist? Is that home cooking or what?
23 assist. How in the hell did that happen?

Myles turner, Aaron Nesmith, and Ben muthurin showed up too they all drop 20 plus
I mean, Scott Skiles had 30 assists back in the 90's.
