The thing about Ateez is that almost all their songs, and albums, and music videos, plus special cinematic trailers are connected in a giant fictional storyline. Each album is labeled with a chapter name and an episode name and number. This song is from The World episode 2:Outlaw. The story is long but let me give you the important points. Ateez are a crew of pirates that can travel through time and across dimensions with the help of a magic hourglass. In their last album before this one (The World episode 1:Movement) they crossed into a dystopian parallel universe where emotions are brainwashed out of all the people with special ear pieces, so the government can control them more easily. Ateez starts an underground rebellion to restore people’s emotions (you can watch the music videos for Guerrilla and Halazia to see that story develop.) in this music video Ateez infiltrates the hot pepper black market. Because if you if you are completely numb to emotions eating very spicy peppers would be a way that you would still be able to feel something. But then we discover that they have smuggled a weapon inside the chilies, and Hongjoong (their captain) uses it to blow up a government building. After the video Mingi sees wanted posters for all of the Ateez members posted around the city. And the story is to be continued…

The song at the end isn't called Outlaw, it's a teaser for another song but we don't know what it's called yet or when it'll come out (they once teased a song at the beginning and end of one of their music videos and then released the teased song two years later so who knows when we'll hear this one lol). The World ep.2: Outlaw is the name for their new album (Bouncy is on it), where they do have a song called Outlaw! The whole album is amazing, truly 10/10. I recommend listening to it. Sometimes people say it's like 80's but it's not (at least in the US) --ATEEZ has a strong t and equal accenting. I suggest Guerrilla next, it goes hard and the choreo is so tough they didn't issue a tictoc dance challenge because they would feel bad asking anyone to learn it. Heads up. ATEEZ has a storyline and Guerrilla is before Bouncy in the story.

They have only been in the industry almost five years and have changed the game. There's 8 members and ALL are incredible dancers. They are called the "Standard of Performance in K-pop". There's only 1 English Speaker(he's still Korean), but the members try to learn English. The oldest- On the motorbike, rapping, is Seonghwa ( pronounced Song wha), he's a vocalist, performer and kinda like a care taker to the group (we love him 😭) Hongjoon- the Captain, he's the one with blue hair, leadind the dance many times (Ateez and Atiny don't call him Leader). He writes, produces for Ateez and leads the group. (Short and Intense) Yunho (the cop)- Lead Dancer, Performer and Vocalist (he's our big puppy and the tallest at 6 feet). Yeosang- (the other biker) Visual, (Deep and soothing) Vocalist, Performer (stares into your soul and is so stunning) Mingi- Rapper (gunslinger and deep rapper voice) Writes with Hongjoon and Performer. San- (the kickboxer) Vocalist, Dancer, Performer and Part of the Demon Line. Woo young (pronounced oo young)- (the coach of the kickboxer) Dancer, Performer, Vocalist. (Rebellious but loyal) Jongho(the 2nd cop with the parrot)- Vocalist, Performer and youngest (he's the one belting out vocals) Our fandom is call Atiny, which is a combination of Ateez and Destiny. Thank you for the reaction. K-pop is known for lots of beat switching and lots of pleasing visuals but Ateez didn't rely on that, especially when they first debuted. Hope you like the song and check out their albums or past songs. I would recommend Hala Hala and Halazia if you'd like.
