Fatty, your videos have got me so stoked bud!! My bro and I played and collected these cards obsessively back in the late 90s. I ramped up hard on collecting when I heard disney bought Lucas' soul. Discovered your videos today, I didn't realize there is what appears to be a active community, always thought it just fizzled out as far as player base. Listening to you examine cards in practical detail is bringing me back to my teen years! Would love to play again someday!
My favorite card will always be Boba Fett from Cloud City. I had been chasing him in Dagobah, not realizing that he wasn’t even in the set until I got my second Executor (which was going for some serious money back in 97) and then I looked up the card list. I obviously continued the chase when Cloud City came out with little luck for quite a while. Then one day, me and my best friend found out about the tournament sealed decks and we were like “fuck yeah, let’s get ‘em”. It was summer vacation and our parents were at work and we didn’t have a car or a learners permit, so we decided to ride our bikes 10 miles (one way) mostly uphill on a dangerous main highway, no helmets of course, to our local card shop. I bought the Tournament Sealed deck and four boosters of Cloud City and popped them in my backpack and we were off back home. The way back was a little easier as we were going mostly downhill, but at one point I was almost run off the road by a tractor trailer that was way too close to the shoulder. Finally arrived home and cracked open my haul, and the first Cloud City pack had Slave I, errr Firespray Class starship, and I my heart was pounding out of my chest. The last pack, there he was; my Boba Fett. I ran outside onto the porch and let out the loudest “WOOOOOOOOOOOO!” I’d ever done at that point. I’ll never forget it. Anyway, love the videos, and I’m glad you’re making them consistently. Any plans to do any deck strategy videos? I’m always looking for different ways to build decks. Thanks again!
haha nice love the story, not knowing what was in the set was a big problem 25 years ago... Yea I will probably do some strategy videos in the future, I actually filmed one about 5 weeks ago, it was very boring I thought, need to retool it!
One of my favorite cards was just the good old standard Star Destroyer. Even thought it was uncommon it felt like getting an extra rare in a pack. A lot of times that was much better than a rare (*cough* seekers….) Same with corvettes and Victorys too. I loved the ships and really before DSII there were not a lot out there!
Finally got around to watching this one! That Grimtaash story… oof. Also had a blast hearing about the Reflections 3 rants (ALL of them). Such a great watch. Keep these coming!
I remember I was glued to the Decipher message boards when the Cloud City set was posted on the site. They would post the card list along with images of the cards. Without having seen any spoilers, I quickly clicked on Boba Fett. As it slooooowly downloaded the image line by line, the 28.8k modem running AOL was really struggling and it stalled about halfway down the card image- not far enough to see the power, ability etc. It was so agonizing, and I'll never forget seeing that card when it finally loaded. He had armor! Cloud City was the magic time of SWCCG for me- I was a junior in HS and though I had friends who played through Jabba's Palace, it would never be the same. Nothing could replace that feeling of pulling a Captain Han Solo, Boba Fett or Princess Leia. By the time Endor was out I was in college and swccg became something I would play over Christmas break. I kept buying packs for another year or so, but unfortunately stopped after Tatooine and never bought much of today's $$ sets. My 2020-2022 self would really regret that as now it is costing me thousands to complete these sets! Great channel and amazing content!
I have a soft spot for most of the DSII cards (esp. the starter cards since those were my first decks when I started playing - finding them both in an old shoebox in my closet a few years ago is what reintroduced me to the game). I love all of the art on the spaceships and Admiral's Orders cards. If I had to pick a single card from the set it'd probably be Flagship Executor even though I never really run it and use the O.G. version most of the time. The art on the card just looks so cool, especially in foil.
Mantellian Savrip was the only red card I understood how to use when I was a kid, and DANG did I use it! matching pilots, luke, obi, and mantellian savrip was a heck of a deck back in the day! 🙂
One of my faves is Grand Moff Tarkin as he was my first rare character I got when I got into SWCCG when it came out. I was always a dark side collector/player while my bro was always light side. Such amazing memories. Thanks for putting out these videos. Hope to rekindle some memories maybe by playing online with my bro who is out of state. Now I have been out of the game for many, many years and I have to figure out how to build decks again. Any recommendations?
Great picks! I was always a big fan of some of the early Xwing pilots and ships. Always tried to get Wedge and Red Leader in my decks when I first started playing
A New Hope Chewbacca will always have a special place in my heart as it was the first main character I ever pulled. I tried to play the A New Hope Wedge in every deck. That big forfeit made him perfect for the Bacta Tank.
making chewy a R2 in ANH was smart after pulling mains in premiere was so damn hard!! wedge was/still is best card I think you can pull from ANH! oh yea great for bacta tank, and mantilian savrip
@@fatty777 Yeah, the R2 Chewbacca and R2-D2, plus the Death Star, Trench, Attack Run, CPI, etc. made for ANH packs to be some of my favorite to open. Prior to SE, my other favorites were Hoth and Cloud City. Premiere was boring pulls most of the time, Dagobah was weird and mostly useless on light side, and Jabba's Palace was very meh. SE, Endor, and DS2 were my favorite regular packs to buy, but when Reflections and then Reflections II came out, I went nuts! Reflections was great because you usually got a rare or two in addition to the foil, and many of the foils were way easier to pull than in the original set. Reflections II was awesome with all of the premium cards, the foil, and still getting a couple more rares!
Great video as always! Wow, where to begin with favorite cards. Gold 6 from Special Edition looks great, love the all Bounty hunters for some reason. I agree with you about the over powered Reflections cards for playing. But they are some cool cards to have. Can't wait for the next video!
Love the videos, my son and I just started playing togeter. He rescued my cards from my mom, and forced me to teach him to play. My favorite card was vader with a lightsaber, It just the coolest picture of vader, and when I was a poor kid it was cool being able to buy a main character and a bunch of packs!
Great video! My favorite card is You May Start Your Landing. First of all, the picture is badass. Second, when this card came out, it literally made a deck. No fancy Objective needed, just put walkers on Hoth and you're good to go. Walkers on Hoth was something that always should have existed, and thanks to this card, it does.
I always got a kick out of the easter eggs and the humor you could find in the flavor text for the cards. So Gravel Storm comes to mind because this card rocks or the Tonnika Sisters because of the 2s everywhere on the card and doubling up the alien eyes icon.
Agree with a previous post about Premiere ISDs, only have 2 and felt they were rarer than their U1 status. My favourite combo (to look at) is to line up from left to right from Cloud City is Lando Calrissian - Liea of Alderaan - Captain Han Solo, seems to capture a movie moment. Most memorable opening is getting Obi-Wan from Premiere in a store and having people all look over it as it was early days and the first one many had seen. Love seeing all the unique starfighters and capital starships cards too, especially in a game.
#8 was always just "KFC" 🙂 Favs: Chewbacca - This was my first main...and it took a couple of years to realize it. I once won a raffle for a pack of everything in a store. I only cared about the football cards. A couple years later I was just getting into SWCCG and while cleaning out my closet found the Chewbacca I didn't know I had. It was the coolest thing. 2-1B - We had a thing where everyone collected as many copies of a rare card as they could. This was mine. Mara Jade - It was really hype to get this EU character everyone loved turned into a really good main character card and they made it into a big thing with having the model at conventions to sign your card. Just a lot of fun. Blizzard 2 - I liked having a versatile AT-AT you could play without playing a walker deck. Just a nice stat line and a way to avoid lightsabers and permanent weapons. Plus a great image. Scum and Villainy - It was such a fun card to build a deck around. I liked that it had so many choices for the engine - you could play it in Court, MKOS, ISB, CCT, even SYCFA Least Favs: All maintenance cards - you said all that needed to be said. At the time they were released, my entire playing community just ceased to exist since the only explanation to releasing them was they were losing the license and didn't have to clean up the mess. Defensive Shields - I liked putting two or three effects in your deck that countered stuff you wanted to counter and being exposed to what you chose to be exposed to. Give me bans and set rotations over carrying around a big sideboard of hate cards. Watto's Box / I Did It! - Podracing could have been ok if they didn't make these so busted. Then they had to resort to the above lame thing (shields) to end the scourge.
Great comment! how many 2-1bs you stacking? what were some of the other cards your friends stacked??? couldnt agree more with your least favs. - defensive shields you are right on point
Tough to narrow it down to just a few, but I'll do my best. In no particular order. 1. Corellian Corvette/Imperial-Class Star Destroyer. My buddy and I had precious few of the heavy hitters when we played, so cards like this were our workhorses. Corvettes ruled the skies while it was just a slew of TIE Fighters on the opposing side...until the big, bad ISD hit the table. Then it was all about the chase. 2. Echo Base Operations. Super fun deck to build; hide behind those Shields while trying to overwhelm the Dark Side in space with a boatload of X-Wings. 3. Blizzard Scout 1. What a beater. More power than deploy, sweet destiny number...really annoying to have roaming on the other side of the table. 4. Asteroid Sanctuary. Asteroids turned into my go-to strategy; zipping around in Asteroid Fields as TIEs and Star Destroyers got smashed up on lucky destiny draws made for some harrowing gameplay. Honorable Mention - Darth Vader. Never had one until I started collecting again. This guy is absolutely my Black Lotus. So powerful, with such an imposing picture.
Yep agree! Specially back when you didnt have any cards, I remember my 2 non-unique Star destroyers where the glue of my deck, had more corvettes in my LS deck like 7, but thats cause they were U2, not U! EOB so fun to play, and watch them slowly walking in towards your guys at the sites Lets hope DV goes to the Value of Black lotus lol, but i think there are something like 50k darth vader black bordered out there, and 50-75k white, and 20k total lotuses
two of my favs: Talz. The 1 deploy cost, 4 forf and ability to sac was epic. He was awesome fodder, and held down a lot of locations with mains. Wedge The 2 deploy, 6 forf and 4 destiny, with the standard 2/2/adds 3 was a staple, and extra hunky card
Great video! My favorite card is probably Officer Evax. He's kinda a bad version of wedge, with the high forfeit value, but not as good as a pilot and lower destiny. But he's an ISB agent!
great assortment of picks! i would have to go black border Executor over white, my favorite pull as a kid and card of all time. do you approve of the DS-61-3 foil?
Commander Luke Skywalker is my all time favorite. Still remember getting in trouble in 6th grade English because I was writing down a new Hoth deck instead of my assignment.
such a sexy card! i remember that too, all my grade 7-grade 12 notebooks are just deck ideas, I was lucky we had consistent weekly tournies where I lived for about 6 years
Admiral Motti was the first card I REALLY KNEW was rare and has been my favorite since. the high of opening a quasi-main kept me in the game for the next several years
I distinctly remember pulling a TIE Assault Squadron from a pack of ANH back in the late 90's. Don't remember what the rare was in that pack. For some reason it was such a thrill. Obviously I know better now.... ;-)
Djas Puhr. I was always trying to make a go at building a Nightfall conditions deck just because of him. And even without that, that 4 ability plus being a warrior, and getting a power boost off of dark side icons! And immunity to attrition! And a bounty hunter to boot?! Little pocket Vader. Too, I just loved the ability 4 characters. Throw him and Brangus Glee down and have them swinging Dark Jedi Lightsabers! So fun. So expensively fun. (In Force usage.) But if they're sitting at the Cantina, and it's night outside, and Kithaba is hanging around to make the light side pay for sending Jedi in to take down my little dark force user cabal...? Just great.
I love this video so much. Reasons: -TIE Pilots are the coolest non mains in the movie and TIE/LNs are the coolest starships. I've always wanted to be a TIE pilot if I had to live in the SW Universe. To have you fawn over them just warmed my little Imperial heart. -Your fantasy cards were so scathingly on point, OMG!!!11 -Your list of favorite cards was great - they aren't mine, but you made a good case for them. -Your list of least favorite cards was amazing. I didn't expect to to agree with them, but you made very good cases for them all. Artoo in Red 5 is stupid, but luckily it doesn't get played much. I don't play formats that use Maintenance cards for good reason, but you are absolutely right about Blizzard 4. What a ridiculously stupid card. Inserts, no fun and backfired their intended purpose. I especially hate Anger Fear Aggression. I actually thought I liked Monnok and Grimtaash as far as being good for the game (and in some sense they are), but you make a very good case for why they are not. I think the Lost function should be much more expensive. My favorite card, by the way, 100% based on aesthetics, and is highly underrated since it didn't even make the card image voting bracket the PC held a little while back, is Saber 1. The rest of my top ten in no order are: EBO, Dark Deal, Blizzard 1, TTO, Flagship Ops, Close Air Support, Planetary Subjugation, Attack Run, and Executor.
100% TIES are just the coolest, esp LNs and interceptors. Who wouldnt want to be a tie pilot, I think I played the DOS game Tie FIghter 2130912390 times when I was young. Yea artoo in red 5 doesnt get played much, people are running super luke, plus other power creep have equaled it out, lol sadly same here, i convinced myself Monnok was a good card, because I won a few games off it, but mostly i have to think "hmm that strat wont work because what if I get monnoked early" or You have to waste your starting int on well gaurded, which is shit too. or before JP was even worse nice nice top 10 list, love close air support, completely forgot that one
I was working in a donut shop next to a hobby store when SCCG came out. I remember the day i was working and one of the hobby store employees came over, he walks up to me and says "I know you like Star Wars, i just bought a pack of SW cards and pulled this" and hands me my first rare for the game. Thats how i got my original Falcon, I was hooked before i knew the game existed. sent him back with $30 for more cards and pulled crap from those packs/starter. (a trend that mostly continued until DS2) My favorites cards... I agree with alloverrr, reactor terminal/traffic control were, and to me still are, essential tech in every deck i build. i was never great at tracking, so those cards allowed me an easier way of seeing where my cards were. HUGE fan of the Jar Jar sneak attack. i remember people rolling their eyes when they saw him, because its jar jar. But he earned quite the reputation as a bounty hunter exterminator for me. and its always fun to make gungan sounds when you play him. for some reason, tho, my all time favorite card is one you actually kinda talked down on, and it hurt me, man... it hurt... LOL i kid, of course, but seriously... Artoo, from Jabbas Palace. i was just fascinated by the hero of 1000 devices juggling machine. Pair it up with some mains w/toys, a few destiny adders, just wait for the right moment to drop him. he loses a few devices, the mains laugh as DS wipes their side of the field... I can kinda relate, with the brother thing. the guy i mostly played cards with had insane luck, so my decks were always 3 steps behind. He is the reason i HATE Dark Deal so much. HATE IT!!! lol almost as much as i hate the defensive shields. the game was already suffering so much because of the ep 1 switch, most tournaments in my area were ep 1 only cards. Other than Maul and the jedi, i didnt want much, but i liked plying in tourneys, so i picked up enough to build half assed combat decks. Ironically, thats the best ive ever done in a tournament, won a foil maul with lightsaber. Im building a deck to blow up the Jek Star. there will be pork(ins) for everyone in15 parsecs!! these videos have been great, man! if you ever post any of you playing any of those beautiful guitars in the background, let me know!
Wow great comment I love it. So huge when you pull your first big card. and we both hate defensive shields! hahahah going be a big mess if you blow up porkins, he just ate at an all you can eat buffet and yea as for music I might have to sometime, play mostly banjo and dobro in bluegrass band, what do you play???
Boshek. For the longest time he and ANH Chewbacca were my only LS characters of any quality so I built my deck around him. Love the Hutt Space fan expansion that gave him his own ship. My friends and I used to play "boshek only no mains" decks purely in annoyance at the cost of the mains.
I have a soft spot for avenger since it was the first Star destroyer I ever pulled. I also really liked the purple event cards since they seemed so thematic (attack run, commence primary ignition, epic duel)
I always loved cards like Hindsight or Through The Force Things You Will See that fiddles with the Normal format of the cards. I'd say as a result of that, and being a huge starship fan ... my absolute favorites have to be Executor and Flagship Executor. Those sideways starships? Heck yes. Least favorite? Hmmm. Probably the hecking seekers. What a waste of rare slots, lol. That was always just a crushingly disappointing pack, lol. I love your list though. Most of yours land toward the top for me too. Great stuff. 🙂
My picks, all nostalgia: Son of Skywalker - first main I ever pulled in a pack. Shivers down my spine memory from childhood. The reason I still love these cards and leisurely collect to this day Lt Blount - first rare I pulled in a DS2 pack as a kid. No recollection of this dude in the movie but I could tell he was a badass. Flew a Headhunter. So cool. Gotta get him in the Rebel Hunks bracket Hobbie-my favorite Rebel pilot I had. He asked the big questions the other pilots were too scared to ask. Mad respect Red Squadron 4-Hobbie’s x wing, at last! Best looking X wing picture in my opinion. Such a good look. DS2 cards are so pretty Captain Piett-my main imperial dude when I pulled his WB version in a Reflections pack. All the unique biker scouts. All of them. They are so dang cool. Finally completed my collection of them last year. Now I daydream of the ultimate biker scout deck to pit against and decimate an Ewok deck
Love the list! all super cool card. Hobbie is a great charater in the movie too and I agree, thats what made Endor such a fun set. so many good rares/uncommons, heck even commons
My personal favorite card would have to be from premiere: M’iiyoom Onith. Hand peeking is huge, plus she can destroy any unique male rebels and/or aliens. OP under certain circumstances.
Love/hate that card, you can make a deck based just around her and activating a lot of force... that is if its a tourny where it doesnt go up to CC, because shocking information, and later on UH-oh
I wish this game continued the EU legends stuff. If I was in charge, I would create sets for the Han Solo adventures, pre-rebellion (corporate sector cards, Nar Shadda, Bria Tharen, etc.) and a set for the Kyl Katarn video game series. The objectives would be great!
I enjoy decks built from premiere and new hope. I love Hoth but for the life of me can't get enough force locations out fast enough for the light side. But I do like the snowspeeders from the Hoth 2 player box. He's a main, but Darth Vader is my favorite card. I look at him and he's staring back at me and I can hear him saying, "You have failed me for the last time!"
Can any rebels compete with Biggs’ mustache? My favorite card might be Trample, if only because of a pair of games where I was 0/3 in Trampling an Ewok after which my friend managed to Trample my EPP Obi-Wan with a lucky 7. Or maybe It’s Worse, because I managed to blow out another friend’s It Could Be Worse twice, ten years apart (I am overdue for a third, but I think he’s learned not to ICBW against me).
I have waited so many times with black 2 or 3 with tarkin in it, with no force... just waiting for them to attack! "oh they dont get a destiny", only to deploy vader in black 4, - hasnt happened yet. and will probably get sensed ;)
Fatty you're right Stalker is awesome as a card and among all Star Destroyers as for the picture itself, mine top favourite are as follows: both Executors, Stalker and Conquest :)
I'm assuming you're joking and know that pkmn stands for Pokemon, as Jigglypuff is a Pokemon. But just in case you never got into Pokemon, that's what it stands for.
Traffic Control/Reactor Terminal are the most important cards in the pre-virtuals era. To be able to draw most, if not all of your deck and replenish those cards back into your deck let’s you have your cake and eat it too. I haven’t played with virtual cards and I don’t even understand how the virtual versions of these cards actually had anything to do with the originals.
The original printing of Shot in the Dark has to be the worst card ever printed. It was basically Star Wars version of Necropotence. Favorite card: Gravel Storm: This card rocks!
@@mopbrothers Actually I disagree! but we can still be buddies AT-ATs yes are way strong if people dont have access to all cards. Like we did when we were kids and maybe had ONE main if lucky, and AT-ATs were uncommon, so six-7 of those in a darkside deck was pretty much unstoppable In the Premiere-Hoth tournament i crushed AT-ATs with grappling hook and One More Pass, The AT-AT "Crash" so they are power = 0, so you basically have huge damage. And then throw down icestorm, so they have to fight in vehicles, but they cant because you grapple hook them! Hoth is really strong for the rebels if you have the generators in, then the darkside can only deploy to the 4th marker or higher. So it lets you force drain on 3rd and 2nd easily. Think this is why they made AT-AT so strong, but only 1 movement speed. Light side can really pile on if they move to 3rd or 2nd marker, Deploying reinforcements, while the DS has to deploy, THEN move Then maybe move again As for walkers on other sites, LS wouldnt fight them without mains, or stick to sites like Cantina for big force drain, even bigger with a lightsaber or 2, who cares if the Walkers outside are draining for 1 a turn. you are draining for 4 inside
@@fatty777 I was never able to get a power harpoon off and crash an AT-AT. You need so many cards for that to work. Rogue 2 with Zev with One more Pass with a Power Harpoon. That’s like 4 cards. Maybe I was inexperienced using Snowspeeders or just poor as a kid, but I got destroyed everytime I faced AT-ATs. What I should’ve done is got Luke Skywalker and Chewbacca and Han or Leia and used Rug Hug or something powerful. But then I just get Sensed and the whole plan fails. Or he uses Takeel and messes you up. Getting indoor Hoth sites could be a pain. Basically Hoth decks were easy for the Dark Side to be strong and hard for the Light Side to even have a chance unless you were rich.
How dare you slander Artoo in Red 5 like that!. Artoo in Red 5 + Farmboy Luke + Darklighter Spin = Deploy 4, Power 8, Maneuver 8 + BD of 8? Thats 16 power and 8 attrition for 4 force. Best space combo in the game, I will die on this hill.

admirals orders have some of the coolest art, sadly some of my least favorite gametext ha
My favorite was always Redemption because as a kid I loved that model. Always thought it looked so cool.
it iS COOL love the redemption!

they are really cool cards, and costly!! thanks for the support !
Love the videos, my son and I just started playing togeter. He rescued my cards from my mom, and forced me to teach him to play. My favorite card was vader with a lightsaber, It just the coolest picture of vader, and when I was a poor kid it was cool being able to buy a main character and a bunch of packs!
Thanks for the support! yep love the vader with lightsaber, esp. the picture!
Captain Han Solo and Premiere Darth Vader are easily on of my favorites.
Love the intro. 😂. Fav card has gotta be General Veers. He’s always been one of my fav characters from the original trilogy.
I just got Yoda for Xmas. Didn’t realize he generated an extra force! Yoda (v) can deploy anywhere, so once I get it a printer, it’s on!
OHHH THE EXTRA FOrce, so funny how many rules you dont know until you play with other people.. I learned a lot by going to my first tourny
@@fatty777 A little gemp, some kitchen table play and A LOT of question on cards and the AR on Discord and I'm getting the hang of it.
Love these videos!!!!
thanks!
Great video! My favorite card is You May Start Your Landing. First of all, the picture is badass. Second, when this card came out, it literally made a deck. No fancy Objective needed, just put walkers on Hoth and you're good to go. Walkers on Hoth was something that always should have existed, and thanks to this card, it does.
yea loved that card when it came out! albeit a few years too late :)
I always got a kick out of the easter eggs and the humor you could find in the flavor text for the cards. So Gravel Storm comes to mind because this card rocks or the Tonnika Sisters because of the 2s everywhere on the card and doubling up the alien eyes icon.
yep so many easter egg cards!
Loved the Tonnika Sisters!
Love seeing all the unique starfighters and capital starships cards too, especially in a game.
good picks! love Captain han, and Lando, Cloud city has some cool cards
#8 was always just "KFC" 🙂
Favs:
Chewbacca - This was my first main...and it took a couple of years to realize it.
I liked that it had so many choices for the engine - you could play it in Court, MKOS, ISB, CCT, even SYCFA
Least Favs:
All maintenance cards - you said all that needed to be said.
EOB so fun to play, and watch them slowly walking in towards your guys at the sites
Lets hope DV goes to the Value of Black lotus lol, but i think there are something like 50k darth vader black bordered out there, and 50-75k white, and 20k total lotuses
I liked “they must never again leave this city” that allows you to deploy Executor for free.
I stopped playing before that card came out unfortunately
two of my favs:
Talz.
The 1 deploy cost, 4 forf and ability to sac was epic.
He was awesome fodder, and held down a lot of locations with mains.
Wedge
The 2 deploy, 6 forf and 4 destiny, with the standard 2/2/adds 3 was a staple, and extra hunky card
Talz and Wedge, both have high forfeit, and super versatile
Great video! My favorite card is probably Officer Evax. He's kinda a bad version of wedge, with the high forfeit value, but not as good as a pilot and lower destiny. But he's an ISB agent!
Cant beat EVAX!
great assortment of picks! i would have to go black border Executor over white, my favorite pull as a kid and card of all time. do you approve of the DS-61-3 foil?
Both are very cool in my opinion
Im not a fan of most foils...
Commander Luke Skywalker is my all time favorite. Still remember getting in trouble in 6th grade English because I was writing down a new Hoth deck instead of my assignment.
such a sexy card! i remember that too, all my grade 7-grade 12 notebooks are just deck ideas, I was lucky we had consistent weekly tournies where I lived for about 6 years
Admiral Motti was the first card I REALLY KNEW was rare and has been my favorite since. the high of opening a quasi-main kept me in the game for the next several years
LOVE THE MOTTI, You won the starter deck!! email me at fatttty@protonmail.com
@@fatty777 woooo hoooo! A chance at another Motti! Email incoming
What is the X for Armor 4+X in Jar Jar Enraged?
lol oops, me being a sloppy MS painter and forgetting to remove it from the Chewie card
@@fatty777 I think the mystery adds to it
X=number of Jar Jars in your deck
I distinctly remember pulling a TIE Assault Squadron from a pack of ANH back in the late 90's. Don't remember what the rare was in that pack. For some reason it was such a thrill. Obviously I know better now.... ;-)
hahah its a cool card for sure, I too remember getting confused about what is the rare
(In Force usage.)
But if they're sitting at the Cantina, and it's night outside, and Kithaba is hanging around to make the light side pay for sending Jedi in to take down my little dark force user cabal...?
Just great.
I love this video so much. Reasons:
-TIE Pilots are the coolest non mains in the movie and TIE/LNs are the coolest starships. I've always wanted to be a TIE pilot if I had to live in the SW Universe. To have you fawn over them just warmed my little Imperial heart.
-Your fantasy cards were so scathingly on point, OMG!!!11
-Your list of favorite cards was great - they aren't mine, but you made a good case for them.
100%
TIES are just the coolest, esp LNs and interceptors. Who wouldnt want to be a tie pilot, I think I played the DOS game Tie FIghter 2130912390 times when I was young.
Yea artoo in red 5 doesnt get played much, people are running super luke, plus other power creep have equaled it out, lol sadly
same here, i convinced myself Monnok was a good card, because I won a few games off it, but mostly i have to think "hmm that strat wont work because what if I get monnoked early" or You have to waste your starting int on well gaurded, which is shit too. or before JP was even worse
nice nice top 10 list, love close air support, completely forgot that one
I was working in a donut shop next to a hobby store when SCCG came out. I remember the day i was working and one of the hobby store employees came over, he walks up to me and says "I know you like Star Wars, i just bought a pack of SW cards and pulled this" and hands me my first rare for the game. Thats how i got my original Falcon, I was hooked before i knew the game existed. sent him back with $30 for more cards and pulled crap from those packs/starter. (a trend that mostly continued until DS2)
My favorites cards...
So huge when you pull your first big card. and we both hate defensive shields!
hahahah going be a big mess if you blow up porkins, he just ate at an all you can eat buffet
and yea as for music I might have to sometime, play mostly banjo and dobro in bluegrass band, what do you play???
@@fatty777 ive been known to strum an acoustic guitar from time to time, used to play piano, but its been ages.
These videos are sick, wicked, nasty, awesome
Thank you!
Talz and Surprise/Counter Assault!
Boshek. For the longest time he and ANH Chewbacca were my only LS characters of any quality so I built my deck around him. Love the Hutt Space fan expansion that gave him his own ship. My friends and I used to play "boshek only no mains" decks purely in annoyance at the cost of the mains.
love the boshek, alwasy tried to fit him in
so would the decks just be droppin down boshek and drawing battle destiny then redeploying next turn??
I’ve never laughed so hard as pausing video to fully analyze these into cards’ text
I have a soft spot for avenger since it was the first Star destroyer I ever pulled. I also really liked the purple event cards since they seemed so thematic (attack run, commence primary ignition, epic duel)
love the avenger,!!
My favorite card was the Obi-wan I pulled from a Premiere pack. It felt so good!
Never pulled an Obi-!!!! still want to, cant beat that feeling
It's a tough choice but I think Planet Defender Ion Cannon is up there for favourite card. Mostly for nostalgia reasons. Same goes for Nightfall.
They are really cool looking cards, hard to make useful sadly.. check out next video talk about nightfall a bit
Sideway cards so cool. Haha so many seekers.. and they are R2... and there are like 6 of them so you pull them so often
My picks, all nostalgia:
Son of Skywalker - first main I ever pulled in a pack. Shivers down my spine memory from childhood. The reason I still love these cards and leisurely collect to this day
Lt Blount - first rare I pulled in a DS2 pack as a kid. No recollection of this dude in the movie but I could tell he was a badass. Flew a Headhunter. So cool. Gotta get him in the Rebel Hunks bracket
Hobbie-my favorite Rebel pilot I had. He asked the big questions the other pilots were too scared to ask. Mad respect
Red Squadron 4-Hobbie’s x wing, at last! Best looking X wing picture in my opinion. Such a good look. DS2 cards are so pretty
Captain Piett-my main imperial dude when I pulled his WB version in a Reflections pack.
All the unique biker scouts. All of them. They are so dang cool. Finally completed my collection of them last year. Now I daydream of the ultimate biker scout deck to pit against and decimate an Ewok deck
Love the list! all super cool card. Hobbie is a great charater in the movie too
and I agree, thats what made Endor such a fun set. so many good rares/uncommons, heck even commons
I believe you pronounce it "Cal-Fall-en Sind-ross" but that is just my best guess based on the english language.
My favorite card is Blizzard 4. Gotta have something ridiculous to make an at-at deck viable
hahaha so ridiculous but I can respect your choice!
My favourite card ever was sense, control, alter. I loved the wizard battles I had with my friends before we realized how to abuse them
I bet you play blue in magic :D
100%. This was when we were all kids and we didn’t know how to abuse broken cards. I just liked negating cards like a Jedi wizard
Im just a sucker for the obvious. My favorite card is Vader from premiere limited. It's just such a cool pic.
great choice, and sort of is my no. 1, but would have been so obvious!
@@fatty777 agreed on all counts. It could also be super expensive if you don’t have hand reduction rules/cards in effect. But I still love it.
My favorite two cards of all time would still have to be the classics Darth Vader and Obiwan. They were just so strong early in the game!
Cant beat them!
I wish this game continued the EU legends stuff. If I was in charge, I would create sets for the Han Solo adventures, pre-rebellion (corporate sector cards, Nar Shadda, Bria Tharen, etc.) and a set for the Kyl Katarn video game series. The objectives would be great!
that was def be a awesome way to take the game direction in. there is so much you could do with it!
We always said Kal Fani Cindros, was probably butchering it thought
I enjoy decks built from premiere and new hope. I love Hoth but for the life of me can't get enough force locations out fast enough for the light side. But I do like the snowspeeders from the Hoth 2 player box. He's a main, but Darth Vader is my favorite card. I look at him and he's staring back at me and I can hear him saying, "You have failed me for the last time!"
I LOVE DECKS FROM PREMIERE - ANH, check out the next video
Darth Vader might be best card ever ;) hard to pick it though would have been too obvious !
Can any rebels compete with Biggs’ mustache?
My favorite card might be Trample, if only because of a pair of games where I was 0/3 in Trampling an Ewok after which my friend managed to Trample my EPP Obi-Wan with a lucky 7. Or maybe It’s Worse, because I managed to blow out another friend’s It Could Be Worse twice, ten years apart (I am overdue for a third, but I think he’s learned not to ICBW against me).
haha biggs has a commanding mustache!
Dude love the trample!
nice
5:58 “once you got him off…”
If anyone should be the mayor of the Star Wars CCG, it should be you.
Black 2 is very good because it allows Black 4 to deploy for free with a pilot for free (including Vader).
I have waited so many times with black 2 or 3 with tarkin in it, with no force... just waiting for them to attack! "oh they dont get a destiny", only to deploy vader in black 4, - hasnt happened yet. and will probably get sensed ;)
@@fatty777 There are ways to guarantee winning a SAC war.
Mara Jade is my top card, also Love Daughter of Skywalker
great cards!
Fatty you're right Stalker is awesome as a card and among all Star Destroyers as for the picture itself, mine top favourite are as follows: both Executors, Stalker and Conquest :)
I didn’t realize there were people who preferred white-bordered cards over black-bordered!
select few cards !
Ok.. You want obscure favorite cards? .. Sy Snootles! Also premeire Vader ...not so obscure
hahah Sy is a solid choice!
I'm assuming you're joking and know that pkmn stands for Pokemon, as Jigglypuff is a Pokemon. But just in case you never got into Pokemon, that's what it stands for.
haha yea
legs = KFC
*Darth Binks* 😈 (Jar-Jar is the key to all this 👴🏻)
Traffic Control/Reactor Terminal are the most important cards in the pre-virtuals era. To be able to draw most, if not all of your deck and replenish those cards back into your deck let’s you have your cake and eat it too. I haven’t played with virtual cards and I don’t even understand how the virtual versions of these cards actually had anything to do with the originals.
so important, still include them in decks!
The original printing of Shot in the Dark has to be the worst card ever printed. It was basically Star Wars version of Necropotence.
Favorite card: Gravel Storm: This card rocks!
I always hated the interrupt card“Takeel”from the original premier set. Very deadly and bullshit card.
yea that was a monster! too bad as the game went on every battle had 2 or more destiny. power creep
@@fatty777I also think AT-ATs were WAY too powerful! 6 power, 7 armor, immune to attrition
@@mopbrothers Actually I disagree! but we can still be buddies
AT-ATs yes are way strong if people dont have access to all cards. Like we did when we were kids and maybe had ONE main if lucky, and AT-ATs were uncommon, so six-7 of those in a darkside deck was pretty much unstoppable
In the Premiere-Hoth tournament i crushed AT-ATs with grappling hook and One More Pass, The AT-AT "Crash" so they are power = 0, so you basically have huge damage.
Light side can really pile on if they move to 3rd or 2nd marker, Deploying reinforcements, while the DS has to deploy, THEN move Then maybe move again
As for walkers on other sites, LS wouldnt fight them without mains, or stick to sites like Cantina for big force drain, even bigger with a lightsaber or 2, who cares if the Walkers outside are draining for 1 a turn. you are draining for 4 inside
PKMN stands for PAC-MAN 🤨
How dare you slander Artoo in Red 5 like that!. Artoo in Red 5 + Farmboy Luke + Darklighter Spin = Deploy 4, Power 8, Maneuver 8 + BD of 8? Thats 16 power and 8 attrition for 4 force. Best space combo in the game, I will die on this hill.
omg so strong! not that I don't love it, just so OP - 4 DEPLOY!?!?
Best card is arcona
