The position of the Cadet Battery from The Citadel, which fired on the steamer, Star of the West on 9 January 1861, was just a little further up the beach from battery Wagner.
It was truly a surreal experience. I know a lot of folks can't get to it. I wanted to make the video as I couldn't find any footage of the island myself. 👍
