      @@TableTopReadyTH-cam Its a bit of a stylistic choice. Some people start with a bit of a purple, brown or blue base when painting Orks and then build up to green to help give the impression that there's blood pumping under the skin. Orks bleed red after all, right?
      My process is:
      1) Plaguebearer Flesh over a Corax White basecoat
      2) a medium coat of Biel-tan. I don't like letting it pool in the recesses too much
      3) recess shade with a 1:1 mix of Carroburg Crimson & Lahmium medium
      I really like the shade of Green it gives while still leaving a bit of brown/red/burgundy in the recesses.
      Its not for everyone though, but thats fine :)

    Your original Orks tutorials were the first 40K painting videos I ever watched, so this is a huge blast from the past for me. Awesome work!
    A year and a half later and I'm still not confident in making your Ork Skin mix - I really dislike paint pots, and don't know how to mix them well without wasting some excess Death Guard Green or just making a mess of the decanting process. Are there any alternative methods or colour-matched paints in bottles you could recommend?

    • @TableTopReadyYouTube
      @TableTopReadyYouTube  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you, the only thing I can sugest is to have a look around, you may find a good match in a different paint range? you could even chose a colour that you like, you don't need to mix and the steps will still be the same. you'll get there, keep practing and trying things out :)

    • @TableTopReadyYouTube
      @TableTopReadyYouTube  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you. I'm not a fan of drpper bottles. they alot messier than the pots and you end up using too much paint and to decant the paint you have to thin it down with flow imporver which actually ruins the paint. Theres a reason no one talks about dropper bottles anymore. just saying :P worse decision I ever made

      @@TableTopReadyTH-cam Interesting. I just started the hobby a few months ago and transfered all my paints to dropper bottles because the paint kept leaking out of the back of the lid every time I tried using the citadel pot.
