Jsas! People don’t know how to read apparently! The tittle is: the first supersonic flight for “Boom XB-1”, meaning, the first supersonic flight for THIS specific aircraft, not out of all in history.
Was nothing wrong with Concorde. There was a design flaw but the fire was caused by debris left on the runway. A tire hit the debris and exploded and punctured the fuel tank. Had noting to do with The Concorde itself really. Yes it did have a flaw but ran for 22 years with zero issues. They could have fixed the flaw but it was too expensive to keep running due to maintenance and fuel. Used like 6,700 gallons per flight. Lol But it ran for 22 years with no issues
Man, I would love to talk to this guy, or anyone who can sit down, and design a supersonic jet from scratch. This is why Justine is "The Boss" !!! She makes Everything Tech, sound & look fantastic !!!
Jsas! People don’t know how to read apparently! The tittle is: the first supersonic flight for “Boom XB-1”, meaning, the first supersonic flight for THIS specific aircraft, not out of all in history.
BUT... Justine says 4 seconds in "...First Time Independently developed Jet has broken the sound barrier". Didn't sound right to me, so here I am in the comments looking for clarification. Another Video in the feed says "America's First Civilian Supersonic Plane..." Now I don't know what to think.
@@rbuschy the Boom XB-1 is the first privately developed jet to break the sound barrier, and the first to break the sound barrier over mainland US. It’s a prototype for the Overture, a future passenger plane for carrying 65-80 people across the Atlantic in just over 3 hours.
@@rbuschy Its not that hard. Lol. The Concorde was developed by British and French government. Not independent company. And it was in Europe based. We have not had one in based in the Us carry commercial passengers ever.
Don't forget that the Concorde flew daily across the Atlantic daily from 1976 to 2003 and at 60,000 feet carrying 109 passengers .... Catch up America. PS: The Concorde had a nose cone that lowered when landing to facilitate keeping full vision when landing.
Never knew Justine had a little avgeek in her! I originally found her channel reviewing apple products but it was so cool that she shares an interest in aviation like me! Love you Justine! ❤
save the trees, save water, save the WORLD what do celebs do: BOOM XB1 just to fly from NYC to Canada within 2 hours / what do ordinary people do: metal straws yaaaaay 🤷♂
Justine, i will share something with you today, hope you read it. My father was in the Air Force( He was a helicopter pilot and used to serve in different Flying units)grew up in different Air Force Stations seeing fighter jets flying everyday. In one of my father's posting our accomodation( Officer's accomodation) was situated right infront of the runway with a fence in between and a gate at the end of the row in which our house was located. Used to see SU-30s take off and land everyday. Night flying, day flying. I used to race with the fighter jets on my bicycle 😂😂( like the top gun scene). And i have flown the Simulators as well there, have seen the jets flying in formation and other air shows as well. And my fathers unit("Hovering A***els", cant use the Sqn no and name as its confidential)also used to fly in formation sometimes on special occasions. In our Officer's Mess- The Bar had real fighter ejection seats instead of the normal bar chairs. And many other things are there in those memories. I hope you read it.
Do you ever heard about the concorde ? It flew Mach 2(twice the speed of the XB-1 today) over the atlantic. EVERY day with passengers :D This XB-1 thing is a joke.
@tdrg_ The concorde was so far ahead of its time when you compare it to this little project. Concorde flew daily across the Atlantic with passengers from 1976 to its last flight 2003. It was something that the joint British and French design teams and public were proud of. The Concorde was taken out of service after one accident involving a tyre blow out caused an accident ... This American project is so far behind the times it is ridiculous, as the first fully functional Concorde took to the skies in 1969. Britain also had a long range supersonic bomber called the TSR2 that was as fast as the Concorde, but never saw service due to government spending cutbacks by the Labour government at the time .. That bomber preceded the American B2 bomber by many many years.
This thing will never be a commercial reality. The fact they are engaging with influencers must mean they need another round of investor funding to keep the gravy train going.
Whats with all the spam comments 😢 ps Concorde was the og the goat so good it cracked my bedroom window. I had a line throughout my pane of glass in my room 😅 we had to call the right people to investigate and replace the glass.
We are a failed society, relearning and redoing things that were done 50 to 60 years ago and bragging about it, including flying supersonic commercial aircraft and space flight.
Nobody is relearning anything. Supersonic aircrafts are loud, expensive and consume too much fuel. The public complained about the noise and for commercial purposes they were a money pit that made no profit.
using 6,700 gallons of fuel on a one way flight is not that innovative. This will be much more efficient and quieter and will be actually a bit faster. Did Apollo mission return the rocket for reuse at 1/10th of the cost? Seriously this is a garbage take. Says the guy typing on a computer that has more compute power than the Apollo mission. SMh.
The Concorde did it 36 years ago and was operational with British Airways and Air France for 27 years. This isn’t a big achievement, we just went backwards.
Jsas! People don’t know how to read apparently! The tittle is: the first supersonic flight for “Boom XB-1”, meaning, the first supersonic flight for THAT specific aircraft, not out of all in history.
@ i can read perfectly fine. The title makes this out to be a huge milestone event and it’s anything but. It’s like seeing a new car manufacturer beat high speed records, not the first. This is merely a prototype and not even a full size passenger aircraft, it’s really nothing amazing in my view. Go and see a Concorde in real life and see what proper history is
@@Horizon301. “go see what proper history is” and now you misread what I wrote! I didn’t write that this is making history or whatsoever. I wrote that the title of the video didn’t claim that this is the first supersonic flight in history, the tittle reads “the first supersonic flight for *whatever the name of that thing*”. There’s a lot of people commenting: the Concorde did it first, when nobody is saying it didn’t. I don’t think that this is anything special either. And also, I love the Concorde! Just take a minute to read what you’re gonna comment on, please.
@@henryarthon it’s a hyped title. You know it as much as I do. It’s making a big deal out of something pretty insignificant, your point is correct, it’s like “the first drive of (whatever car you would like to name)”
Yeah today was another great day for aviation in the United States - civilian passengers should be able to fly faster than the speed of sound within a handful of years. It was pretty awesome to think too that this same airspace is where the Bell X-1 and the X-15 (4,520 mph!) flew their experimental missions with high speed also being the goal - I believe with pilots Chuck Yeager and Neil Armstrong to name only a couple of the great ones. A lot of history in the air today.
I’m a little confused. Was this test a proof of concept that they can build a supersonic jet? Were they testing specific instruments that are going to be used on the future commercial craft? What’s specifically on a testing here?

This is hugely revolutionary and impressive. The fact that was done independently from any government 3-D printing CAD design. This is impressive.

AI gaming is trending, and Wexxo is leading the charge.
The Wexxo presale is a no-brainer for gaming enthusiasts.
Are the company a science fiction film fan? Because there a 1963 film called Ikarie XB-1 that was basically the inspiration for Star Trek!
A 1663 film? It had to wait a while for the tech to develop to show it?

Wexxo’s use of blockchain and AI is impressive-this project has legs.
Anytime I want to know about supersonic flight, I watch the lady with the large AT&T phone bill. Yep.
Yep
