Her friends basically dared her to walk up to him, sitting at a bar in Los Angeles and he bought her a couple of cocktails and talked. Fun pod (again) but I guess I thought you'd mention the passing of Kelvin Kiptum on this episode. I had been preparing myself to commiserate on this incredible loss to the running community with you both.
I love it when you both go full track nerd! As a semi-informed casual fan, I have a hard time following all the qualifying rules for the various events. It definitely does take some of the fun out of the live events. I know it's complicated and multi-layered, but I would think the broadcast networks like NBC would want to maximize viewership for something like Olympic Qualifying Trials for the marathon. Seems to me knowing ahead of time that the top-three finishers go to Paris no matter what would make for a more compelling race and viewing. Great job breaking all of this down and sharing your unfiltered thoughts!!
As a former USATF Certified Official Apprentice, it will be interesting to see how the officials will be measuring the mark. With current rules, the official has their eyes focused on the board to help see if there is a foul. If there is a range, I'm not sure how an official will be able to focus on the new range to see where the jump starts. There will be more room for disputes from the athlete or coach depending on the details of the new rules.
I LOVE the sports bra conversation! All accurate points. Can I just say, I hate that they make them with cups/padding? What's the purpose, I assure you I do not need extra fabric nor do I need extra padding. Is there a point to it?
I was a huge UNC fan growing up. Laughed at the slip woth Grant Hill. I also noticed the absence of the Olipop mention for the top 5. Looking for a new sponsor?
I couldn't agree more with how woman have a more to deal with. For me, it is white water kayaking with long hair. It takes so long for my hair to dry and when it is cold outside I get cold, Men's hair dries really fast.
