She did a live version of this song for the Nobel ceremony. Sounds just as clean as the recorded version and you can see how much she gets into the performance.

"A Boy in the Grass"/Mahogany Session by Aurora is a moving video. She sings about a boy she knew who died in the Utøya (an island off of Norway) massacre in 2011, at a youth camp. A single domestic terrorist carried out the attack killing 77 people,most under the age of 18.
Fun fact: The shots with the 'crippled' pine tree in the near background where filmed directly in the backyard of her parents house in Drange and the other shots where filmed on locations less than a mile away.

Very cool reaction. Aurora is amazing Artist full of great music and sounds. Very expressive. emotional and unique. For sure she is worth to check more as she has so many great ones.
To be honest, I personally no longer watch her music videos or listen to her studio recordings. The reason is that her live performances are so emotionally powerful, that I just only watch them.
Many of her music videos are artworks in themselves, but that would be another story, I think.
She uses a lot of metaphores in her music and in the videos, so it will be a bit difficult to watch her music video. Some people focus on the metaphores in the video, and lose the lyrics or vice versa.
Wen you see her live, you maybe also will experied that the whole girl is art.

It happened quiet Live at the Current is one of my favourite performances of hers. Also, Warrior at Haik. Aurora is mesmerizing. Live she's magical.

One advice: Nidarosdomen. A concert held in a Norwegian cathedral. The orchestra shimmers, the choir erupts from the shadows and Aurora is like an alien, feeling akward and astranged, but is floating around in her own magical art and sound, perfectly. Goosebumbs from the first till the very last note. And that last note happens to be the one from Bowie's Life On Mars.
Aurora is one of those rare artists who's live performances outshine her studio versions a thousand times over. In future reactions I'd go for live versions. Welcome to the "Queendom".

"Murder 54321" live at the noble peace prize, one thing you will see if you watch her live is she can't stop moving her body mostly her arms and hands. She said that the first time she saw herself live it was frightening to her because she was not aware of how it looked but she said she can't stop it. Personally I like it and I think most people do.
Just choose any song of hers, they are all beautiful 😍 my personal favourite is "the river". Also, her version of David Bowie's "life on mars" is great.

The live performances are the pinnacle, Nobel Peace Prize concert 2015 (particularly "Murder Song"), Nidarosdomen (Trondheim Cathedral) 2017 (especially "Through The Eyes Of A Child"), HAIK 2019, filmed in the forest where Aurora played in her childhood ( the standouts are "The River", "The Seed" and "Daydreamer") and any of the clips from her more intimate concert performances from around the world. The face in the sand and in the painting were just an illusion, what she saw while climbing a tree was waiting patiently, and she was running far away and perhaps off the world someday. I'm thinking that the home where she belongs is not of this material world. This world can be a very hard place sometimes and Aurora is running for a soft place to fall.

Brad...i look forward to your journey into all of the wonderful music and performances that she has created for us. So very many good performances, many with lyrics that have multiple layers...i would suggest "The Seed" performed live at HAIK. This is another great introduction to the power of her performances. Other favorites " Murder Song 5, 4, 3, 2, 1" which on one level deals with the tough issues around Euthenasia (perhaps), "It Happened Quiet", her cover of David Bowie's "Life on Mars", the stripped down VEVO version of "Through the Eyes of a Child"...all will get you pointed to more and more absolute gems from this singer-songwriter, activist, performer prodigy.
You really should check her out live. Anything from the Nidarosdomen concert is truely beatiful. If you want to listen to something more up-beat "Soft universe" is great. If you really want to FEEL though my suggestions are "It happened quiet" or "Lucky"

I'm so glad you started this journey! I would strongly advise though, that in the future you choose live performances! She really is something else live, very expressive with her body language and basically nothing is lost when it comes to her voice. Live performances are a wini-win! Agree that she is best live, but as an introduction to her, this video is fine! Actually some of her videos are mini-masterpieces (The Seed, The River, Winterbird, Running with the Wolves) and worth watching after seeing the live versions.

Aurora is the total package - singer, songwriter, musician, dancer, producer/arranger, choreographer, and an absolutely lovely human being (and she’s just 24 years old!). She will often perform her songs quite differently - sometimes with her band, other times stripped down to just her and one instrument, a cappella, with full orchestra, etc. - so it is definitely worth listening to different versions of the same song. Also, some of her videos are mini-masterpieces as well.

Subscribed for Aurora. Aurora owns live performances and luckily there are a lot of good ones out there with great sound. For me the song Lucky, any live performance, Murder 5 4 3 2 1 at the Noble Peace Prize. Be prepared for her performance. She uses her entire body as an instrument. Yes she is not wearing shoes at the Noble Peace Price. She doesn’t like them. Also take the time to check out her interviews. They are entertaining enough to be reacted to and have been. I could write all day about her but many of my fellow Weirdos and Warriors are doing an awesome job as always. We tend to travel together in our search for people discovering our Queen of the North.
