he wasnt turned evil... he was evil... even in mk9 when kano rebuilds him, he mentions that the balck dragon arent the same without him... this past kabal (mk11) is the one that was still with the black dragon
He turns good while he’s in the police force though. And in mk9 he’s mostly reluctant to join the black dragon/help Kano
The question is how did he became evil after his skin was burnt.
@@Johsther If I remember correctly, after he died in MK 3, Havik resurrected him. He felt leaving the Black Dragon is what caused his death and swore he would rebuild the organization.

Okay if we used MK9 to MK11 story. Kabal was a Black Dragon but he left and became a cop. Where he ended reforming and becoming partners/friends with Stryker. However the day Outworld invaded he was burned by Kintoro. He was eventually saved and revived by Kano technology. Plus the added magic of Shang-Tsung magic. However while still veing reformed Kano eventually joined thr good guys. Where he would die due to Sindel being powered by Shang-Tsung magic and soul. Fast-Forward Kronika brought past Kabal who didn't joined the police force yet to the present. Kabal then feed him lies of Sonya torturing, burning, and killing him. However past Kabal somehow has current Kabal superspeed. Which I feel was giving to him by Kronika.

Totally loved the unmasked look in MK11. The one thing that doesn't add up is that in MK9 they imply that he got his super speed alongside the mechanical parts in Shang Tsung's pit (after defeating Noob & Mileena he's surprised at his own speed), but then MK11 shows "human" Kabal already has super speed (and in cutscenes, so it's not just gameplay).
I guess we can consider this a retcon revealing that his powers were only enhanced in MK9, but were already there.
KrossoverGod well the story of mk11 is that everyone from the past was brought into the future. My guess is since the future Kano already gave Kabal super speed he decided to offer it to the past Kabal while also filling him in on the information about what’s going to happen to him
Elder Kano (25 years has past since Mk9) with the current technology probably fixed Young Kabal, before their assault in Special Forces.
@@peabraingamer6424 Mhh that could be a good explainantion... I'm not sure it works perfectly, because I don't think Kano had access to what gave him powers, but yeah if you like it better I'm not gonna argue.
Personally, I read these powers of young Kabal more like the creators letting us know that every version of Kabal they'll ever show will have super speed regardless of backstory, so I find t easier to justify his confusion in MK9 rather than his powers in MK11.
I guess like every plot hole we each have to fill it our own way.
@@Caporai Special Forces doesn't have anything to do with Kabal being disfigured and it happened way before the events of this game, since it happened before the first tournament... if it happened at all. The story was originally going to be a prequel to MK1, but the project stopped and rather than throw their work away the creators released what they had... so basically what we got is a demo, the few levels that they had ready with a hastily made up connection between them through written cutscenes.
Sure, it was referenced when they included Tremor in MK9 for PSVita and in MKX, but I believe the events of "released" MKSF are not canon while the events of the unreleased MKSF as originally written by the creators are.
Fun fact not many people know: Kabal actually makes a cameo in Special Forces. He was originally meant to have a large role in the story, but in the released version of the game they just used his model for one single thug. So he doesn't have any powers nor relevance, but being a unique enemy we can assume that to actually be him.

The inconsistency here is that this past Kabal in MK11 has super speed as a human, which he shouldn't have as he got his powers after getting disfigured and patched up by Kano & ShangTsung. He was a normal human before his injury.
Still love the fact that Trevor Goddard got so much love for his portrayal of Kano that the game character was subsequently changed to look and sound more like him. I like to imagine if he were still alive I would have returned alongside Carey Hiroyuki Tagawa to reprise his role .

@@Kracken1134 just a bit lore on Kabal is all I know that isn't right, didn't get his powers until after the burn happened, as i'm sure you saw in the video kabal was a member of the police after leaving the black dragon, however kabal didn't have his powers until kano and either quan chi or shang tsung patched him up, this kabal doesn't seem to have ever joined the police meaning he was the kabal before joining the police and that he never experienced the events that lead to his future selfs super speed, that's the only mistake I know of, then again the devs could just say he was pulled from a timeline where he had super speed to begin with, but that in itself would create another logic hiccup on the devs end

The young Kabal in MK11 is his MK2 era when he still was in Black Dragon Clan before his defection. He later joined as a cop in MK3 and got burned later by Kintaro.
Elder Kano gave Younger Kabal equipment from the current technology, giving him speed and those buzzsaw. Since Time collided by Kronika, Elder Kano had the opportunity to fix his Black Dragon Clan, before their assault on the Special Forces, kidnapping young Sonya and Johnny Cage.

Past Kabal (the one in MK11 still working with the Black Dragon) was evil.
Present Kabal never was evil.
He was just killed and later resurrected as a revenant/wraith.
Revenants/wraiths are what makes him evil.
In his ending for Arcade Mode, he defeats Kronika, and “gets a job that has no pay and a shift that lasts forever.”
And marries Sareena before getting a rich mansion and 2 sons.
And his mansion is guarded by the military, too.
The only thing that kinda makes him evil is when he becomes a revenant/wraith, he immediately forgets about Stryker.

So in Mortal Kombat 11 he has three -main- different skins
He’s un-burnt skin is of young Kabal. He’s aligned with Kano and the Black-Dragon clan during this time. He sports a ponytail and Black-Dragon tattoo on his right arm.
His burnt skin is still of younger Kabal, just months after his departure from the Black-Dragon and recently after being a officer. He has to wear a breathing apparatus, crafted by Kano, and posses super human speed from the magic Shang Tsung healed him with. His hair is much longer, and his tattoo has been burnt off. It’s at this time that he serves Raiden for the greater good of Earth.
His revenant skin is of a much older Kabal (almost 30 years from his younger Black-Dargon slef), and serves the Emperor and Empress of the Netherrealm to further their rule. He still sports the breathing apparatus and super human speed, but for some reason his powers are weakened, possibly from being undead and or unlinked to his resurrecter, Quan Chi. His skin is a ashy gray, and his wounds and eyes glow a faded pink. He fights with the other fallen warriors to seek revenge on Raiden, who is responsible for orchestrating all their deaths.
This video still doesn't explain how Kabal "turned evil" in Mortal Kombat 11. He was just told a lie from Kano in which Kabal gullibly believed which was all that was shown. Mortal Kombat 11 still failed to explain how Kabal even became a part of the Black Dragon, and missed a great opportunity to redeem him from not being a complete generic lackey for Kano. More or less I would have loved to see his past self to the point when he leaves the black dragon where he becomes a force of good, or at least a vigilante that betrays the black dragon for other reasons whether it would be a question of morality or something else.
I gotta say Mortal Kombat 11 was written more like a shitty fanfic than an actual well developed story. So many fan favorites that had potential did not have their chance to shine or get any character development whatsoever.

I'd like to see a video on how Ermac went from evil to good and back to evil in the new timeline. I dislike how they make so much changes to the timelines and how they alter them. It's coming to a point where I don't even want to keep ( edit ) up anymore with the series.
Either way, respect to Kabal. If I had it my way, I would make a crew and storyline out of Ermac, Kabal and Scorpion ! Three guys who went from evil to good at one point. I can relate at this point of my life with these characters.

I don’t know, I always just assumed Kano had implants in Past Kabal because he remembered how good present Kabal was with the speed.
Nexus Prime42 no black dragon wouldn’t do that look at his teleport wave it looks like Shang Tsungs beam when he is taking souls but Kabals is purple
