I went to London for the first time in Dec 2022, and the Christmas Burger at Honest honestly changed my mind on how burgers can be defined. I would go back every year just for that.
It’s amazing isn’t it, depending on where you live? Honest Burgers are about to head outside London finally, central Birmingham is due to open later this year 🍔 🥳 OPM ( Original Patty Men ) a Birmingham independent is absolutely outstanding also, be ready to queue though especially at weekends…
I went there a few years ago before moving to the US. The burgers were good, but those rosemary fries stole the damn show! As for the burger, Annie's Burger Shack in Nottingham is far superior!
As an Londoner, Honest Burger and Burger and Beyond are both properly middle of the road compared to what else you can get here. They are fine, better than a 5 Guys or whatever, but "The best in London" is an absolutely ludicrous claim. There are dozens of bespoke, one location places that blow everything shown here out of the water.
@@ringosis that's amazing to hear! Could you please suggest a few of these family businesses, and I will make sure to visit them next time I am in London?

Because it's London, the up and coming chefs can't afford a restaurant, so all the best burgers I've had in London have been from pop-ups, street markets and guest chefs in pubs. For the Americans confused - in the U.K. exams are like exceptionally difficult on purpose. Lived in London for 4 months back in 2019. Burger and Beyond is THE best burger i've ever had. Although Bleecker is a close 2nd. I go to the Bleecker right by Victoria station at least twice every time i visit London.

There's one near me and tbh the burgers aren't great, but they do stuff like English breakfasts very well and stuff like fish and chips decently. Judging them as a burger place is harsh. Some very good dessert options too.
The thing I love about Burger & Beyond is it's just as good when you get it delivered. It's not cheap, but if you're having a bad day it'll pick you right up.

Loving this video and these two together. If Joe ever comes back, I'd love to see his reaction to the food at Camden Market. Or the salt beef sandwich at Borough Market.
For any Americans watching a car boot sale is kind of a second hand market. People go in early in their cars and park up in towns & then set up tables or mats and put out all the stuff they want to sell on them and in the boot/trunk of their car. Then an hour or two later customers can come and look around everyone’s stuff and hopefully buy it. It’s a way people can sell stuff they no longer want & stuff they have made.
Coming from a Londonite and self-described burger connoisseur, Honest Burger is far from the best. It’s a solid 7 out of 10, similar to GBK (Gourmet Burger Kitchen). They’re great, go to burger chains that are quality but affordable, hence why so many love them. But certainly there are better, independent joints that are superior. My current, personal favourite is The Truffle Burger restaurant. Highly recommend.
Appreciate the tip! I used to rave about GBK when they were a small chain but when they expanded they were nowhere near as good. My current favourite is Hache (3 branches) albeit based on a single visit 4 years ago
I love The Truffle Burger and Black Bear, but I have never tried Honest Burgers! I do find GBK, Byron’s and Five Guys underwhelming in comparison to the first two I mentioned. Another one on my try list is Shake Shack, don’t know if it should bother lol
@@JL-yh2nh Shake Shack doesn’t live up to Black Bear or Truffle, but arguably reigns at the top of the fast food burger list. Definitely recommend trying it though; the SmokeShack with the cherry peppers is my favourite. Also worth noting that Shake Shack is more on the expensive side like Five Guys for the portions you get.
Went to London, tried both Honest Burgers an Burger&Beyond. But Honest is the big winner for me! The burger at Beyond is something different and really good. But nothing beats a standard upgraded burger from Honest! Just super good! I had the smashed, double up with bacon! The best I’ve had

I actually caught myself taking a phantom bite when he bit into that second burger
Love seeing you both!! Hopefully we get a travel show with you both. Surprised you arent splitting the burgers so you both get to try each!
@@JL-yh2nh Five guys is nice, just not £12 nice
@@JL-yh2nh Shake Shack doesn’t live up to Black Bear or Truffle, but arguably reigns at the top of the fast food burger list. Definitely recommend trying it though; the SmokeShack with the cherry peppers is my favourite. Also worth noting that Shake Shack is more on the expensive side like Five Guys for the portions you get.
Is there a group for people like us 🥹❤️🍔
Great job guys, more of this needed.
Went to London, tried both Honest Burgers an Burger&Beyond. But Honest is the big winner for me! The burger at Beyond is something different and really good. But nothing beats a standard upgraded burger from Honest! Just super good! I had the smashed, double up with bacon! The best I’ve had
