can u please make a video showing how you get the element on those ramps. i know is dumb but am having such a hard time, i feel like am just gonna go over
For extra confidence, you can get a 2x2 wood block cut to the width of the ramp and screw it in near the top of the ramp. This will give you a little extra bump stop until you get used to driving on the ramps. A spotter may also be helpful.
Easy Peasy! My element's aftermarket catalytic converter is breaking up currently, and at times the chunks are clogging exhaust. Until i get a new cat, is there a way to "dechunk" it? Thanks for everything Clint!
Looking back at your videos and all the things that broke on the Element, is the Honda Element perhaps the most unreliable car in the world? I’ve never seen any other car that had more issues than this Element.
Surely not, that would be my 1984 VW Rabbit that was total junk! This Element would be fine if it wasn't abused for 10 years as a work van hauling overweight loads, trailers and neglecting basic Maintenace. It's a $1900 thirty year old 300,000 mile car. It needs some help. Bad!
I have a similar Elemement: 2005, 300,000+ miles. I bought it from a TV station where it was used as a news car before being retired and then used as the engineering beater to haul crap around. By news vehicle, I mean it was driven by people that were barely out of college, and driven by people that had zero responsibility or financial obligation to it or its upkeep. It spent it's entire life un-garaged in the snow and salt of the midwest and maybe got a car wash every month or so if it looked really crusty. It was worth the $700 I paid for it. It had regular oil changes, but other than that, it was neglected...shocks, bushing, brakes, bubble gum man light, etc. Headlights were so worn that the parking lights put out more light. It has seen enough hail storms that the hood and roof look like the surface of the moon. I had the shop put on new tires, and have slowly replaced bushings, shocks, CV axels, brakes, and everything else that was original and NEVER designed to have a service life as long as it did. I don't know of any or many vehicles of that age with that mileage and service history that get up every day, start instantly and say "whatcha got for me today?' (except my small fleet of Priuses) Currently it is my sons daily driver to work, and as long as he keeps the oil changed and doesn't tag a huge deer, I have no doubt it will turn 400K miles or more with ease. I'd jump in it and drive it anywhere without a thought.
Love those ramps! Man everything just started becoming lower quality in the later 2010’s
These were cheapos back them. Seems they are all made of plastic these days.
Wow! Yours still running! Congratulation! Mine is still running as well, 305k Element 2003
I'm about to hit 300,000 and I'm super close to having all the dash light out!! GOALS!
Great advice! Excellent video bud!.. straight to the point. Thank you!
I'm trying to get back to some more straight forward videos on the Element. I hope this one helps people.

I will do that this week. It can be nerve racking for those who aren't used to using them.

A huge help is using them on grass.
I hated using them on concrete. They would slide around in front of me half the time.

I've thought about gutting mine since it's crapped out and not required where I live.
I have a P0420 bank one down stream code. The light comes on and off. I'm just going to replace the front 02 sensor see if it goes away
Did that fix it?
