For my grandma who died the day before Thanksgiving. This will be the first mothers day without you.

@AliSakurai I’m sorry that you lost your grandmother. I lost my grandmother on Christmas Day in 2019. She died from cancer. When my dad was alive, he told me “you should probably be prepared to know that your grandmother is going to become an angel soon”, and that’s when I knew that she was going to pass away and that the cancer had gotten worse. When I saw her alive one last time (when she was home from the hospital), I had trouble looking at her, so I just went downstairs and went to be with my younger cousins. My grandmother did not look well at all. Before I left, I gave her a drawing of her dressed as an angel and gave her one last hug and kiss. That was the last time I saw her. Christmas Day came a few days later, and I found out afterwards (when the fun was over) from my mom that she had passed away. I was only 20 years old, going on 21. I did not take that well because she was my step grandmother who helped planned all the nights I got to spend with her and my cousins, as well as daytime events. I think about her sometimes, especially on Christmas Day. I miss her with all my heart and soul, and I wish she was still alive and didn’t have cancer.

The thing is Homer Simpson and Chuckie Finster grew up the same, both without a mother's love (However, Homer's mother was still alive, just on the run, though she died later on).
My mom committed suicide a few days ago. I didnt see her alot because we were very estranged. I was put through alot of trauma because of her. And knowing I could have helped her before she did what she did I didnt say goodbye. I forgive her for everything. Everything. Mom I hope theres a heaven and that you're in it. I hope you know I love you.

My mother didn't want the family life and had chosen drugs over a child. In the end, she got sick, and it caught up with her, and I couldn't bring myself to see her in her deteriorating state. I had to learn everything on my own and never had the married parents and non druggie career focused perfect mom who's supposed to love her child and want to see them and not tell you it's a bother to have you around. So every mothers Day, I just focus on getting through it and understanding things are better now, and at least she's not suffering anymore.
It does not matter how old I get, this song will never not make me cry. I’m a total momma’s kid, that woman means the world to me.

My grandmother died from lung cancer back in 2020 in March. I miss her so much.

My dad (who was separated from my mom, due to specific reasons) had warned me ahead of time that she was going to pass away and become an angel. Hearing that broke my heart because I loved my step-grandmother very much and I didn’t wanna lose her. Christmas Day 2019, I find out from my mother that she had passed away. I was very upset that she died, but I didn’t wanna show my physical emotions to my mother because I was worried about her reaction (crying, hitting or throwing something across the room, etc.).

Everytime I listen to this song, I can feel my kind and gentle but loving golden heart open up to feel rhe angelic arms of my favorite family members that passed on to heaven giving me their fighting spirit to carve my path in the world and feel them comfort me when I feel sad and alone but then I feel God telling me I'm never alone.
