For everyone with real Babys, please wash the clothes at least a few times before dressing up your Baby, fabrics do have chemicals on them from the factory and they do need to get washed a lot of times do get them out. Even better is to buy second Hand clothes.
Though you should still wash second hand clothes as they can pick up chemicals (such as detergents that the baby’s skin may react to)and germs depending upon where and how they were stored. But they only really need washing once.
Its until recently when i discovered the uncanny valley but ive always been freaked out by these dolls i actually used to put mine in the closet at night but i couldn't say i didn't want dolls bc i was a girl so people expected me to want one. However i appreciate the art and care it goes into making them and the comfort it brings to those grieving.
If my autonamaphobia wasn’t so bad, I might get one of these -I don’t want a real child (love my nieces but I just couldn’t be a mother) but having a baby in that stage eternally? Be interesting for sure 😅
I genuinely want to know what makes you want to collect these dolls . Is it a coping thing or just for fun thing ? I think they are very beautiful & cute !! But what is the purpose of collecting hyper realistic babies…do you take care of them like real babies ? 🩷 ( I really hope this doesnt come off as aggressive im genuinely curious & interested !! )
I am not sure but I’ve heard that some people get a doll like this to care for it as if it were a real baby, to cope with the loss of a baby or I think some dement old people get these as well if they think they have a baby (their child might be an adult for years already but they forgot and maybe look for their baby) and it makes them feel needed and that they have a purpose in life. In her case though, I think she just likes collecting these for fun.
I don’t understand and I’d like to genuinely understand the, reason why a adult would want a baby doll. I know they are produced for Movies …. I think they are beautiful and so well done … but I don’t ge the fascination … or is it just a form of employment to make and sell😊
They are good for occupying dementia patients (they tend to be really careful when given a baby to "take care of", but obviously don't have the ability to properly care for a real baby) and are also used for mothers who just lost their babies in order to cope while their post-pregnancy hormones are going crazy.
I don't understand the whole couldn't put this on a real baby my mom put s*** like that on me my brothers and now her grandchildren all the time. She has some of the most elaborate baby outfits I've ever seen yours pale in comparison to the amount of thought accessories and time my mother puts into these and she puts them on real babies. So maybe you can't see putting this on a real child but other people definitely do. Personally I would never put the any of that on a doll or a real baby because it's too much. The rompers cute though.
Mostly just comes down to safety. That many layers, ties and zips are hazards. So in most cases they are avoided. This isn't me saying you or your mum are wrong, you just said you didn't understand so sharing the reasoning.

90% of my baby's clothes are second hand ❤❤❤❤

Well considering she had the baby dressed in quite layered and tight zipping/tying around the neck, it’s a safety hazard for breathing in real babies.

Cute baby I wish I had one
Oh My goodness, adorable, ❤❤..I want a baby like that one..
Cursed. 💀 They just creep me out but good on you for doing what you love.
You shouldn’t handle the baby like that rough you’ll shaken baby it
Baby needs a diaper change I smell it from here 👀
Very nice❤❤😊
Why don't you get them a shower ? 🤔
Why would she?
Eso es un muñeco. No es un bebé.
