    The amount of power you can make from HCI ls1 is insane for a 20 year old motor

      Yeah the only bummer is that the 6.0 has so much more potential that it's hard to justify 5k+ on parts (if you do the labor) when any 6.0 with LS3 heads and a cam will obliterate an expensive cathedral port setup. But its nice having options. I think the best value is a low 230s duration cam, ported 243s, ported fast.

    Bought a btr stage 2 cam for my ws6 but your setup is leading me more towards a stage 3 now. How is it on city driving? Main reason I got the stage 2 was for its daily drivability.

    • @6spdinc
      @6spdinc  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’d stick w the 2 man. My last cam was a stage 2 from TSP. Was better mannered and still had a hard chop. I def am glad I did not go bigger. Sometimes in parking lots on hot summer days it wants to die or falls on its face when backing into a spot. I have a decent tune as well, no homemade nonsense. The 3 is fine in traffic, It’s fairly well mannered but as mentioned has it’s moments.. mainly on hot summer muggy days and nights. I know guys on Tech and other places will tell you they daily the stage 3 zero issues but it depends on how you drive and the environment. In the city and gridlocked w the stage 3 it would get old lol. That’s why I’d go stage 2 like you have. Hope that helps.

    • @6spdinc
      @6spdinc  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Much more aggressive. Def a bigger powerband on the top end. But the heads help as well. The car still has decent street manners. I’m glad I didn’t go w the stage 4. I had TSPs stage 2 turbo cam initially in hopes of boost but I realized the LS1 really isn’t meant to handle it. I wanted to keep some reliability w low maintenance so plans changed to a HCI build haha. Good thing is all the parts can swap over to a forged motor down the road. 👍🏻

    • @LsxZ33
      @LsxZ33 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@6spdinc yeah I was planning to boost mine but I’m leaning towards doing a better na set up and possible spray to keep it more reliable and less maintenance from a turbo set up.
