No its a womans choice hijab is mentioned 8 x in quran and means modesty covering the opening parts also it was for womens protection in times of danger and the elements
We can’t make something out as sinful based on mere inferences. Allah SWT alone can bring rulings & judgements. If Allah intended women to cover hair, He will make it clear for He perfected the Quran. But Allah never mentioned to cover the hair specifically. This is not to say that a woman can’t choose to cover if she deemed it best for herself in the environment she is in. It is a sin to bring our ego and make interpretations thinking that the word of Allah SWT is lacking and we can do better job than He did through the Quran. Are we forgetting the ayah that Allah made some parts of the Quran very clear and specific and made some that are vague? And if a heart is filled with malice then it shall be interpreted with malice. Allah has the power to make everything clear and yet He made some parts unclear. Why? Only Allah knows but perhaps it could be intended to test our faith based on how good or evil is our intention. It is just hair! Go to the root cause. Nip the bud. Men’s hormones will always be active. It is wrong to say that to prevent or eradicate people’s immorality and s*xual predation of women, that the burden is on the victim to correct the predator’s behavior. We have moral responsibility among one another and that is clearly mentioned in the Quran when told to lower our gaze, both men & women. Scientifically & statistically making women fully covered, has been proven to be ineffective at preventing indecent s*xual behaviors. Why there are covered men & women still being r*ped?! Why newborn babies without hair still m*lested?! Why innocent little boys and girls targeted by p*dophil*s?! Even when you cover all women and children, the matter will never be prevented. Because the root cause is not truly addressed. We should not focus on women’s hair or any superficial covering for that matter. Only Allah can judge us. We should focus on raising children with the best of character. Men who will grow up with the wisdom that he can’t escape accountability for his actions simply for his active hormones, that his hormones should not be an excuse to claim himself too weak to be overpowered and controlled by hormones alone. Women should be raised on what Allah SWT clearly ruled to cover chests and adornments. And what is adornment? Even this term has no clear explanation. Which meant there is a distinction to use wisdom to dress decently and behave decently. Another that Allah SWT has clearly mentioned in the Quran, “lower the gaze” which meant to we must raise our children to respect all people regardless what they wear. To be the responsible Muslims that we are that when we are in each other’s presence, we take control of our base instincts and desires and summon Allah’s presence to help us in making sure that when we look at each other, our mind does not undress someone but covers them and if we can’t, for some reason, we summon the strength to either lower our gaze or walk away for human beings deserve to be respected no matter how little we wear. Instead of distracting ourselves with that is vague, we as Muslims, should focus our attention on the clear core message of Allah SWT. In the Quran, He stresses about kindness, wisdom, tolerance and balance numerous of times. Allah SWT even showed examples of these throughout the Quran. The fact that most Muslims are so bothered about the concept of “hijab” proves that there really is no specific ruling. It is a sin to impose something as haram or halal when it was never imposed. The Quran mentioned that He made clear what is needed and gave us His message that is perfected and COMPLETE, and it is protected from corruption (to prevent Quran from having the same fate as the Scripture?). It was in the Quran that because it is protected, we must be careful from any other forms of corruption for the Shaytan will cause us to falter and move away from Allah’s guidance. Quran is incorruptible but humans are not. And yet, we suddenly accepted men’s VERY LIMITED interpretations of the vague verses of the Quran and turned them into new law or mandates, completely ignoring Allah’s will and His caution. To the point that almost 90% of the Muslims (especially the illiterate ones and those who did not have the privilege to read the whole Quran), have been confused whether a mandate came directly from Allah or from the interpretations based from the study of the Hadiths, and the unreliable and outdated criteria of long ago. Just read the comments here, most are asking for reference?! Why? Isn’t Quran our guide alone? Another proof, the comments here think there is a clear law from Allah for women to cover all parts of their body except their eyes. And yet when you challenge this ruling, one would never come up with evidence from the Quran. Yet, would then come up with biased interpretations or look into hadiths for proof. And then when challenged again with this fact, will rationalize using the parts in the Quran where Allah imposed on Muslims that in addition to the Quran, one must follow wisdom of Prophet Muhammad PBUH, or one must follow Prophet Muhammad, and as such, it is not the Quran alone but we must look into the Hadiths. Missing the common sense that Quran was announced at present times when Prophet Muhammad PBUH is still alive. It is even in the Quran that Allah warned the prophet himself to not make any assertions and verbalizations other than what Allah has given to him. There is a danger in putting our 100% trust in the hadiths that were written without the protection from Allah and without empirical basis of authentication (the criteria used long ago were found in the later years by most scholars to be lacking). An example of using the Sunnah is when it is clearly mentioned by Allah that Muhammad PBUH shall establish the way we pray and the frequency and timing when we have to pray. But the way we pray, not much was declared. And so we strike a balance and look into the authentic Sunnah so that we may pray the way our prophet prayed. Praying no matter how we differ in the minutia, is still an act that is good. We won’t be harming each other when we missed a step in the process… yet there are interpretations from which has given license to violate or k*ll women. We forgot the core message and distracted ourselves with something else and in the process, we end up doing what Allah has intended for us not to do. We end up acting more heinous in the name of imposing a rule that Allah SWT was never specific on. We forgot to raise our children to respect one another, we’ve allowed the domestic ab*se of wives within their own homes from their own husbands. We’ve allowed mutilation of women’s private parts, we’ve allowed child brides to marry grown men, we’ve allowed imprisonment & m*rder of women for not wearing hijab or not behaving in a standard which the patriarchy developed. We’ve let these happen behind the rationale of modesty. We’ve let Shaytan corrupt us. And the real corruption is not women not following the interpretations of the Quran to wear hijab, the real evil is being misled into controlling how women wear while we’ve forgotten the core of Allah’s message behind the covering and that is showing utmost respect towards each other & protecting one another against indecency & s*xual harrassment & assault regardless. What one chooses to wear is just secondary.

4:45 what is your proof about the sahabi Abdullah bin Salam that his opinion was influenced by him being a ex-jew?!?
so basically jilbaab is not about covering hair?
Is wearing outer garment compulsory or can we wear modest dresses which completes all the conditions of Hijab
Hijaab must cover the whole bodies except the eyes. Only eyes can be uncovered. The face must he covered with Hijaab.
It’s compulsory
@@akerjerk please give reference
What are u doing currently taking jilbab as mandatory or not I wanna know cuz I'm confused too
You can wear any cloth as long as it meets all criteria oh hijab.
